Martin is the Martin Luther King Jr Centennial Professor and director of the Martin Luther King Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University. He's the award winning author of a previous book called Preaching on Wax: The Phonograph and the Shaping of Modern African-American Religion.

    That was very informative. It appears Hoover hadn't read the works of our forefathers.
    He was also quite the hypocrite.

    Everyone is born atheist.
    Religion has to be taught.

    Nothing gives a person the freedom to abuse, kill and undermine another’s humans basic rights then doing so in the name of god!

    I was under the understanding that Hoover was black. Could anyone elaborate on that.

      We claim a lot of people but he was not. Proven?

      J. Edgar Hoover wasn't Black. There were persistent rumors that he was a homosexual. He lived with his mother most of his life and he had a close male "friend" and they lived together later.
