as an outbreak hunter, here are some of the tips i can give because i don't use sandwiches or cafeteria specials (maybe for fun once in a while). open field outbreaks are good, i caught 5 rowletts in a short time because they spawn a lot of them. 1) you want to take on outbreaks that has a good spawn number in areas. (more spawn = more chance for shiny) use find the optimal place to picnic reset so you can get the highest spawn possible. some areas are easy to manipulate to get only the outbreak pokemon spawning. if thats the case its easy shiny. 2) open field outbreaks are the best 3) picnic reset near mountains so you force more outbreak spawns 4) most bottom right of alfornada town is good for outbreak hunting 5) save before encountering and check the movepool of the pokemon incase it has a recoil move 6) i hate water outbreaks
I swear that watching your guides gives me good luck, first it was with Cyndaquil (found a shiny while watching the guide on it) and now with Totodile, I was literally resetting for outbreaks while watching this video hoping that there was another way to shiny hunt it and boom found the outbreak and TWO shiny Totodile within like a minute of each other on the way to knocking out 60, even got one of them in a Lure Ball at full HP, literally shaking XD thanks so much for the guide.
I found a spot for chespin in chagestone cavern the pops them out the wall like the bagon cave exploit in the base game. might be a good way to shiny hunt, i just found it so havent tested it too much.
Good luck on your shiny hunts! First of the few shiny hunt ultimate guides I'm releasing
