Amazing work as always, I really loved the way you managed to evoke the original designs whilst paring them down and twisting them just enough. The Centuroar is aces!!
Scluptimber and the concept behind it is so dope. In my head I imagined wat of it had a Day/Night form. Like I can see a haunted forrest version of it tht comes out at night. It'd b a Ghost/Grass
Loved all the designs! My favorite is Sculptimber but what if its ability was something related to the move substitute? Like creating a substitute when it drops below half health or something, I think that would fit the puppeter theme better!
I'd honestly love to see this become a series! If you do continue, could you PLEASE do Rayquaza? I think it'd be funny to see the legendary Pokemon that's capable of dealing with Ground & Kyogre turn into a snake or smth lmao
Ron I watch all your videos and really enjoy a lot of them. This one blows me away. You are, without a doubt, the GOAT of hitting on a perfect pokemon concept. Not only do you have an idea of what a cool pokemon could look like, but you pair it with an incredible story every time, which both makes your design memorable and, I'm sure, more meaningful to create in the first place. Really splendidly done, not everyone has those chops.
I love every single one of these and their detailed descriptions and lore. Really great job, they fit the pokémon world so well that they could easily be official pokémon. Can't wait to check out more!
I think Alpacaeus should have kept the wheel, but turned it into an actual fence. When a herd of Alpacaeus all sit down next to each other, it's nearly impossible to get past to what they're trying to protect.
Uranium already exists, even if it's a fakemon. It's name is Urayne, and it's Nuclear type. Go play Pokemon Uranium, trust me. You will NOT be disappointed!
Imagine some simple farmey lady herding Alpaceus and she gets tired and decides to just hitch a ride on the one in front. They form a very strong bond which others find a bit concerning given she starts claiming it speaks to her. Lo and behold, she's become best friends with god and he's just having too much fun blending in to go back to his true form because he's being treated normal instead of put up on a pedestal with everyone kissing his feet.
I can already imagine a biblical Pokémon story, where Arceus disguises itself as a normal Alpaceus hiding amongst a shepherds herd, as a test to see if the shepherd will accept the extra creature and take care of it, or treat it harshly because it wasn’t theirs
Sculptimber sounds like it could be used in a Pokémon episode where ash tries to catch one of his puppets but realizes it’s not an actual Pokémon and tries to learn more about it but ends up running into sculptimber and scope timber makes more of his puppets and ask and up figuring out that he’s the one creating the puppet and ends up catching sculptimber after befriending it.
my Headcannon is that Arceus gave the world alpaceus to walk among his creations every now and then, after a while other legendaries and/or mythicals asked arceus to use their energies to make these avarege version of them for the same reasons arceus wanted the alpaceus
4:44 You should've went with a sundial for Centuroar esp. b/c you hearkened back to ancient greece via the headgear, etc. 😊 the ghost-type grandfather clock is still cool but would work better with a stuffy Galar brit theme & the ding-dong should also swing freely as part of its design 😃
My headcannon for eturnatus is that it was an ancient alien that had the power to sustain life beyond natural limits, hence the living skeleton and the ability for pokemon to become too large for life to be sustained normally in Galar.
Man you never disappoint with these! I couldn't come up with a criticism to one of these if I even wanted to these are just fantastic (I wonder what a non-legendary Zekrom would look like...)
I like most of these but I feel Primini should've gone the route of Carbink with Diance and just be a little light-absorbing prism that floats around until it becomes Necrozma when it's charged. Not as interesting design wise but I feel lore-wise it'd be pretty cool.
Ok, I just thought of prismini evolving into a de-legended ultra necrozma that protects prismini and that idea just sounds awesome Also amazing designs for all these guys
Once again, you knock it outta the park with your designs 👏🏼 I absolutely Love Sculptimber, Centuroar, and Lethalaman, they really capture the original regular pkmn that allude to a legendary pkmn energy that this video is going for-not to mention they're just wicked cool concepts and executions in general AHH !! Wonderful job TG
Man. There are a lot of great fakemon artists out there and all, but I really am delighted and stunned by just how well you capture the style and feeling of real Pokemon. A lot of times, designs are beautifully drawn but look like they'd be more at home in other settings, or they end up really similar to existing Pokemon and don't shine on their own. WHICH??? Makes this video even more baffling given staying similar to existing ones was entirely the point, but you still managed to make every one of them look unique and entirely Like Pokemon. I could imagine running into any one of them in-game. Obviously Eternatus was the design that changed most, but with the others, I could absolutely imagine all of them as a Carbink / Diancie type relation too. Like you can see similarities between Carbink and Diancie and easily see how Diancie relates back to it as a sort of ascended-to-godhood form, but there's still a ton of difference and Carbink looks solid as its own stand-alone species too, it doesn't look like it exists to become Diancie. You captured that vibe in all of them other than Eternatus, and Lethalaman is just its own brand of awesome that works really well for the different angle you took. It would look especially at home next to Toxtricity and Druddigon, yet doesn't look redundant with either. Amazing work, genuinely!
My comments: 1. I feel like you could have done more with the green dot on Alpaceus' cheek. Give it a function or make it part of a subtle pattern perhaps. 2. Centuroar seems a bit to big. I would say it should be somewhere between 6 and 8 feet instead. Pokémon are generally not as big as they look. (Charizard, Dragonite, Kabutops, Torterra). 3. Lethalamander looks like a better concieved version of Druddigon. Smoother and less clunky. Also a bit too big, but awesome design. Could perhaps be the male counterpart to Salazzle. 4. Sculptimber looks more like a puppet itself than a puppeteer. Perhaps if there was something string-like somewhere in the design to show it's the master of other puppets? 5. Prismini, are the hands rigidly attached to the arms, or does it have wrists to move the hands independently? How does it keep it's balance on those feet? I'd like asnwers to those questions. All very enjoyable redesigns, one of the most interesting videos you've done.
This was really interesting and fun to watch. I think you came up with some great concepts and executed the designs well while still keeping some of the original inspiration. I hope this becomes a series!
You know what? I Linda like the idea that Alpaceus was one of the first Pokémon that Arceus created and did so in his own image to show favoritism. The could mirror how God is said to have created humans in his own image. 😁
Prismini is the only one I'm kind sketchy on because as you said in the intro, you weren't trying to make these Pokemon look like cute baby Pokemon or pre-evolutions. But that's exactly what it looks like. The others looked like completely basic Pokemon versions of their counterparts as you intended and they were all fantastic. I especially like how Centuroar and Lethalaman turned out. But with Prismini I just see baby Necrozma.
Necrozma is legit just "black crystal that is slightly humanoid" so you don't have much to work with, as opposed to others like Eternatus where it looks like a skeleton.
I must admit that Normal type is not simply "no type". The evolution Pokémon Eevee is normal, Ditto who changes its shape is normal, Regigigas, the boss of Regies is normal, and the god of Pokémon Arceus is normal as well. This is the "can be anything" type in the Pokémon franchise!
Is this a Mandela effect, or did Furfrou have a hairstyle based on Arceus? Also, I absolutely love Lethalaman's design. Would love to have one as a Pokemon partner.
4:27 Herder: *forgets to feed them* Herder: Wait a minute... Crap! I gotta go feed them! Herder: Here you go guys, sorry for forgetting! Alpaceus: *transforms* Arceus: How dare you. Face my judgement, foolish mortal. Herder: Wait noooooo
the first couple designs look the best IMO it feels like the legendary pokemon would be looking down and going "oh I wonder how my children are doing today?"
Great vid. You should do a vid where you change similar looking pokemons colour palets. For example beedrill/mega beedrill and naganadel (dunno how to spell it)
I love Sculptimber!!! I find it creepiest out of all of them in this video, but that's also why I love it!! I also love Alpaceus! It's so cute and fluffy!!!
While watching sculptimber, i was thinking for the name, something like hedgepetto. Since hes made of wood like Pinocchio, and is also a puppeteer. Still love it though
@@Garden_Warfare_Gaming Technically, both are considered mythical for post 4th gen in game postgame battle facilities and online battles. However, Phione can be bred an unlimited number of times and has a much smaller base stat total (480 vs Manaphy's 600), so I tend to consider it more "mundane" than "mythical".
Ahhhh, they are so amazing=3 I need a whole farm of Alpaceus! Different colours too=3 I want to befriend Sculptimber and Prismini=) What an awesome episode, You are so talented=3
Really love these. Altho Lethalaman looks so different from Eternetus that I i wouldn't have ever guessed their relationship. But regardless, it's still a beautiful Fakemon.
I think sculptimber should be a grass dark type because it’s based off of a puppeteer, their whole deal is that they manipulate their creations, manipulation sounds like a lot like something a dark type Pokémon would do. Just throwing it out there.
Alpaceus and Prismini are so cool, all your creations feel like they could have existed but I would be eager to play with these previous ones 🤩 good job, I wanna see more of that, you're so talented !
I like the lore that Alpaceus could be like a reincarnation kind of pokemon, since it would acknowledge a religious idea pokemon has never explored before. Basically, the alpacas were Arceus's favorite souls and they lived a life of luxury and comfort because of their previous life's actions.
I’d imagine that if Prismini evolved into Necrosma, the idea for it’s evolution line would be a hero living long enough to be the villain. Like, Prismini would be loner who would help those in need, putting people and Pokémon before itself. Prismini would evolve into its second evolution and would be more of an anti-hero, doing whatever it wants, helping those who would give back to it, it would also use a new found ability to drain the light of its opponents rarely. And the final stage would be Necrosma, who doesn’t care for anything other than draining the light of all the universes that exist, fully becoming a villain.
I saw so many pics of this trend on twitter that I didn't even realize you HADN'T done this yet. Always look forward to these challenge videos, Ron! Keep it up!
For Leathalaman: Another thing with fossil restoration and stuff (Reconstructing from bones) is that people for hundreds of years didn't realize dinosaurs had feathers. Leathalaman gives me the vibe it needs feathers and is based off of a salamander, right? The axolotl is a type of salamander that had feathers, and is associated with regeneration (Which I feel would be some nice irony) but while they're associated with regeneration, they will eat each other and are at heart, predators. That and we have no axolotl pokemon, I think it would be cool Also love how Leathalaman's shiny is literally the same colouring as the galarian zigzagoon line
I think Eturnitus is a paradox pokemon bc Eturnitus was suppose to come back 1000 years after the events of sword and shield but was brought back too soon, thus its future looking form
I think a cool signature move for Sculptimber would be a new substitute which takes three hits to remove, regardless of damage. Three representing the original 3 regis, because 5 would be a little broken. Maybe the substitute takes 33% of his health instead of 50%. And with woodworker boosting his grass substitute's priority, he could use slower moves the next turn since he has a substitute up. Other options might include having the substitute add grassy terrain or sunny day.

"They are constantly getting stuck in fences. Smart farmers don't remove them, knowing they will just get stuck again"
@@elainegoates9792 EXACTLY!!
“Turning Sponsers into Pokémon!”
Would low-key be funny as hell 😂
alpaceus takes the meaning of "The lord is my shepherd" to a different level
Imagine having an alpaca farm an always having this thought in your head "Am I feeding god right now?"
Draw a Periodic Table of Elements as Pokemon:
Titanium
Uranium
Nitrogen (or Liquid Nitrogen)
etc.
this could be so cool
Imagine if all 118 elements were Pokémon types and they all had type advantages and disadvantages over each other O_O
That's really cute! 🦙
I love all of these silly guys. They look powerful and charming. Love how we have multiple old men.
my Headcannon is that Arceus gave the world alpaceus to walk among his creations every now and then, after a while other legendaries and/or mythicals asked arceus to use their energies to make these avarege version of them for the same reasons arceus wanted the alpaceus
You nailed all of these, we need more :)
Sculptimber would look perfect for a grass version of one of the Regi's!
It would probably have to be renamed to Regimber
Ok, I just thought of prismini evolving into a de-legended ultra necrozma that protects prismini and that idea just sounds awesome
Also amazing designs for all these guys
Once again, you knock it outta the park with your designs 👏🏼 I absolutely Love Sculptimber, Centuroar, and Lethalaman, they really capture the original regular pkmn that allude to a legendary pkmn energy that this video is going for-not to mention they're just wicked cool concepts and executions in general AHH !! Wonderful job TG

What about Zekrom?
Mega for more pokemon
How was this comment one day ago if the video was made 1 hour ago?
@@Happy_Dandifer_Family idk
Hey @truegreen7 i found you in the comments of pokemon talk.... Multiple times +2 respect
I Imagine Alpaceus having a signature move that lets it spit on other pokemon with holy water and it is super effective against ghosts
Idk why I love Sculptimber so much, maybe it’s how friendly and Ghibli it looks 💚
I kinda wanna see what a fused/ultra version of Prismini looks like despite the fact its not incomplete. Like maybe an evolution or something
My comments:
Theory: you put a diamond in Centuroar's chest and you get a Dialga. A sort of heart of Te Fiti scenario from Moana
This was really interesting and fun to watch. I think you came up with some great concepts and executed the designs well while still keeping some of the original inspiration. I hope this becomes a series!
I like how you still connect these watered down mons with their legendary counterparts
Mandela effect
Mandela effect.
There was an Arceus-esque haircut in the anime, but not in the games.
Mandela effect... So that's how they now call making things up and misremembering lol
There was a very brief moment in the anime where it did.
crazy how sculptimber would be even better in competitive than regigigas
4:27
Herder: *forgets to feed them*
Herder: Wait a minute... Crap! I gotta go feed them!
Herder: Here you go guys, sorry for forgetting!
Alpaceus: *transforms*
Arceus: How dare you. Face my judgement, foolish mortal.
Herder: Wait noooooo
As an artist myself, I'm pretty used to people thinking I'm drawing something sus during the sketch stage of my work. 3:10
3:10 hmmmm 🤔
I went straight to the comments when I saw it 😂😂
the first couple designs look the best IMO it feels like the legendary pokemon would be looking down and going "oh I wonder how my children are doing today?"
I love these! They almost feel more lile Pokémon than their originals!
When I first saw Alpaceus, I thought he looked like a lamb, going with the "Lamb of God" idea
...then you mentioned he's an alpaca
Great vid. You should do a vid where you change similar looking pokemons colour palets. For example beedrill/mega beedrill and naganadel (dunno how to spell it)
"Prismini are born completely clear" yeah that's the sort of dex writing that bites you in the ass the second you hatch an egg
3:10 "Starting out with proportions of an alpaca"
*Draws a penis*
I love Sculptimber!!! I find it creepiest out of all of them in this video, but that's also why I love it!! I also love Alpaceus! It's so cute and fluffy!!!
Great video as always! I loved the arceus one!
While watching sculptimber, i was thinking for the name, something like hedgepetto. Since hes made of wood like Pinocchio, and is also a puppeteer. Still love it though
Makes my day when Truegreen7 posts a video:)
This concept reminds me a LOT on how breeding a Manaphy (Legendary) will result in a Phione (Not Legendary).
Both of them are mythical though?
@@Garden_Warfare_Gaming Technically, both are considered mythical for post 4th gen in game postgame battle facilities and online battles.
However, Phione can be bred an unlimited number of times and has a much smaller base stat total (480 vs Manaphy's 600), so I tend to consider it more "mundane" than "mythical".
Ahhhh, they are so amazing=3 I need a whole farm of Alpaceus! Different colours too=3 I want to befriend Sculptimber and Prismini=) What an awesome episode, You are so talented=3
amazing!!! you’re so talented!! You’re illustrations were top tier! Def would love to see this as a series!
I got an idea: less otherworldly ultra beasts! It cool to them look like actual things and creatures with more traditional anatomy.
Lore idea for alpaceus - it was one of the first Pokémon species to work with human Pokémon trainers
I saw so many pics of this trend on twitter that I didn't even realize you HADN'T done this yet.
Always look forward to these challenge videos, Ron! Keep it up!
i love sculptimber its so weird and eerie looking but the goofy leaf mustache beard makes it look somewhat friendly
For Leathalaman:
Another thing with fossil restoration and stuff (Reconstructing from bones) is that people for hundreds of years didn't realize dinosaurs had feathers. That and we have no axolotl pokemon, I think it would be cool
Also love how Leathalaman's shiny is literally the same colouring as the galarian zigzagoon line
2:35 "a lama stuck in a fence" I will never see them the same again 😂😂😂
I think Eturnitus is a paradox pokemon bc Eturnitus was suppose to come back 1000 years after the events of sword and shield but was brought back too soon, thus its future looking form
Okay had to comment again because every single Pokémon concept in this is perfect!! So well thought out and designed!
you are one of the few artists i have seen that are able to find the essence of pokemon designs but also being able to be creative with!
