Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's second DLC the Indigo Disk brought back every single starter Pokemon! And today I'm going to attempt to catch ALL 24 SHINY STARTERS within ONE DAY! If I can't I'll be trading them all away!!!

I feel like a the Chespin line is EXTREMELY underrated but the shinies r 🔥

There's only one shiny starter I'd want: Snivy. White was my first game, and he was my starter named George. That was the first game I ever played till the end of the main story. He means the world to me and when I unlock his biome he's gonna be my main hunt

I love shiny snivy too! I recently got one from surprise trade and guess what? It isn't hacked or genned! Someone gave it away with the nickname " A gift ". Idc that I can't change it's nickname, I'm still grateful for the shiny snivy

I adore Oshawott. It was my first starter (started playing White, Oshawott was my fave starter of the bunch) and he's just a little man. And I love him. Plus, Hisuian Sammurot is crazy good (imo)

You don't need an outbreak of Rowlet. You can isolate hunt them where you found the outbreak but you will need a flying boost.
I think the Alolan starters are the best shiny trio

Personally for me, Gen 3 and Gen 4 have the best starter trios. Everybody has a fondness for them that only Gen 1 has because of nostalgia.
I’m kinda hoping for chikorita, first game I played was silver and I chose chikorita cause I loved dinosaurs and it looked like one, it got me through a lot of the gyms and it stuck with me since the release of silver

Technically all alligators are still “crocodiles” or at least crocodilians because they’re in the crocodilia order. So the answer on whether totodile is a crocodile or alligator is: Yes.

When it was announced that you would be able to hunt the starters I knew instantly I wanted Totodile. But the outbreaks were annoying me. So I just went back to ol' reliable and got it in 137 eggs!
Awesome! Totodile is one of the few starter you might be better off hatching for lol

for rowlet i used an outbreak and a flying sandwich and it mostly spawned rowlet (my location has vullaby)
i forgor rowlet was a flying type lol
My first gen was gen 4, but even before playing the games I watched the anime and movies and had cards and plushies because of my older cousin being into Pokémon. I had one plushie, though, that was special. It was a Mudkip, that I named Pokey, and I literally took that thing EVERYWHERE with me. He even came to school with me because little 8 year old me didn't want him to be lonely at home. I never had a Mudkip of my own in the games until this DLC, and even though I've never played a gen 3 game, Mudkip has a special place in my heart. He's just a lil guy.
Sobble is most certainly the starter of all time, and I love the nice lilac shade it gets. so I would say that’s my favorite one
I may be biased but idc I love sobble and I would kill someone if someone attempted to hurt him. And yes, sobble is the friend shaped Pokémon of the year

Snivy has to be my favorite starter by far! Gen 5 has always been my favorite since it was the game I had when I was younger. I definitely have a soft spot for the other Unova starters, as well :) I got soooo lucky a couple days ago and finally got my precious shiny Snivy via masuda method! Next up is probably Oshawott!!
i picked water up until gen 6, the little fire fox was too cute to pass up! then rowlet for gen 7, scorbunny for 8 and sprigatito for 9
It took me half of December (from 16th to 31st) to get a nearly complete Shiny Starter collection, meaning I went and got 3 of each, plus got an additional Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott that I transfered to Legends to get their Hisuian forms in special Pokeballs. I have the final forms of the Paldean Shiny Starters, and am currently in the process of "Masuda Roulette" to get 2 Shinies of each that I'm missing.
Exactly what I'm doing now. About a week into it. Litten, Popplio, Rowlet, and the hisuian starters all finished. Have 1 chimchar as well.

I think I'll mention my rank my own Starter preferences.
Gen 1: Too iconic to be called overrated. My favorite has to be Bulbasaur.
Gen 2: Also iconic, but I'm STILL not a fan of the Chikorita line. Cyndaquil is favorite.
Gen 3: The first BEST starter trio! Also I do like Mudkip. Treecko is favorite though.
Gen 4: Awkward at best, but I've grown to like them. Piplup is adorable and we need to stop the Empoleon slander.
Gen 5: Kinda weak for the wrong reasons. My favorite is either Snivy or Oshawott.
Gen 6: Underrated. I like the designs for all three of the first stage starters. Quilladin is an abomination and I hate it though.
Gen 7: The absolute worst lineup. Except for Rowlet, you can't hate Rowlet. I love it. Perfect round birb.
Gen 8: They're alright and I'm definitely biased but Scorbunny is my favorite.

Oshawott is my favorite starter of ALL starter Pokémon in the world!
I started with Bulba, but after that went mostly water types until Fennekin and Rowlet. I hunted for a shiny Totodile in Heart Gold for almost 2 years though. So it would be my choice of starter for sure lol.

I absolutely love bulbasur but the funny thing is that I always went with the fire starters besides pipulp and bulbasur the only fire starter I never chose was charmander just cause he is sooooo overrated that I always protested (?) against choosing him lol
There is a spot in the cave where if you set up a picknick it will only spawn pokemon in the cave

Not to brag or anything, but I recently got a Totodile outbreak at random. To make up for it though, I only got 2-4 of them to spawn at a time, so there's that, I guess

I got crazy lucky with Totodile, I was just wandering by the pond and got a shiny. No sandwich, no sparkle power, no outbreak, just a charm and a dream. Snivy was not as kind…
Gen 6 was my first so I have a soft spot for them all :,) I originally chose Fennekin but I think Chespin is my fave of the three! Might be partially bc I think he's overhated. I love the full line, middle evo included! He's a lil jester! Scorbunny is my fave of the Galar mons bc I just. don't really like monkey mons. Sobble is cute but Drizzile is meh. Inteleon is funny though its gmax form being a sniper tower is hilarious to me.

Fun fact for tododile, crocodiles and a triangle snout, gators have a round snout so that would mean tododile is a gator
I got extremely lucky with the johto starters, found cindiquil in like 5 mins and got a chikorita outbreak randomly. Still hunting for totodile tho

Only a minor difference but I think turtwig is a tortoise not a turtle, after all it is a ground/grass pokemon so it's probably safe to say it probably can't swim lol. Though you did point out the totodile to feraligator thing I think they just used the dile part bc it fit, I don't think totodile has the actual jaw line of a crocodile. Totodile probably just sounded better and it probably was just a reference to crocodiles at the time before sandile was released. Though yeah the problem with the tortoise theory is that turtwig does have turt in its name lmao. But the face shape is to reminiscent of a tortoise.
Also side not does anyone else think snivys cry sounds like Boo from monsters inc laughing?

Anyone who says that, in real life, they would pick that walking fire hazard or that chomping crocodile over my sassy little pear as their partner, is a filthy liar. The Chikorita line may not be great in battle, but Chika and Bayleef are beautiful and perfect. Meganium is kinda mid, I admit.

I started to play Pokémon Black 2 where playing the whole story felt so much fun and that I had Oshawott as my starter and hope I can get that shiny Oshawott

I’m hoping to get any of the shiny locked gens. As someone who hasn’t done much Masuda until Gen 8, I have to say I would love to get anything from Mr. Thumbus! Though I have to say, any starter from Gen 5 and 6 would be great- they all have great shiny’s and are just too nostalgic to pass up!
I’ve been grinding like crazy with the other games though. Got into RNG and god! It’s such a fun new way to see Pokemon! Cant wait to transfer what I get up! Not to mention, I’ll probably do some hunts in the original game but for right now- I’m experiencing Gen 3-5 to their fullest!
