I'm an SU Alum, SU took this by far however TC has gotten better than in the past so I give them credit for stepping to a Nationally ranked program. SU just has the better arrangements point blank and the period. I do think Talladega would be more of a match for JSU not Southern. Remember you can only become the best by competing against the best Kudos to both bands.

The DEGA DIAMONDS were very clean and I like the sex appeal of the STINGETTES (Alabama State)/majorette JSETTES (Jackson)/softness of the DANCING DOLLS all in 1. I refuse to even go tic for tac over it lol Of course that's the same ol DOLLS looking clean and the same as always. Awesome job both bands and dance teams. This was exciting lol
this was a good battle two similar bands in everything lol southern a lil cleaner but I can't slight dega they're good. only thing I hate is I need a lil more balance and less blowing for power

+Malcolm Tippit That sections is not pure ass. As far as lows are concerned the arrangements are not written out this way. When they are their transitions from lows to highs are noted. The section does what is needed for this band and their great arrangements. Can the section improve? Yes as they will this season. It was a lot of crabs this past season and lost a lot from the 14 season.

TC's dancers are clearly talented, and pretty too... but all their counts look like rehashes of other squad counts. Someone praised them for that earlier in the comments, but it feels tacky and doesn't really make for cohesive choreography. All the best squads have distinct, fluid styles... they should really develop their own, they'd be something to watch out for.
Really good battle, Now its settled TC has finally faced the whole fall band from SU and make no mistake about it now they know they were always battling a downsized SU during parade season. Still the pound for pound HeavyWeight Champion of College Marching Bands. The Human JukeBox

TC sounds like everyone is playing in the same key and it's loud and squeaky. SU sounds clearer and more blended to me. But both are good. SU sounds better.

All songs are written in a certain key
To say someone is not playing in the same key and a band is melodically together is musically impossible

TC was loud and lack punctuation. The song s they played were not distinct. On the other hand, while Southern had half of their band, their arrangements were crisp, clear, and distinctive. Just because you are loud doesn't make your arrangements and sound good music. Any6 trained musician knows that Southern basically destroyed TC (from a Delaware State Alumni)...
