TALLADEGA SOUNDS HORRIBLE. Just because you blow loud doesn't mean it sounds good. In the words of Dr.Lee, 1 BAND 1 SOUND. DEGA sound like there competing with each other to see who's the loudest. You're never gonna be on SU level sounding like that.
funny you say that, SU is the same, JSU is one of the SWAC bands that sounds close to being balanced at times, TC is loud as well but some SWAC bands rely on being loud for no reason at all, especially with numbers like SU and JSU

That's the message that seems to be caught by many people, that loud equals good, I have been asked to try out for SU but I will always turn it down because they only seem to care about being consistently at forte or louder, their dynamics from time to time is over the top and can mess a song up completely, yes a band can be loud but at that point it's how well you can play loud as a group, JSU is balanced because they don't have to blast or play loud for an entire song, unless it's against SU, but again I love MEAC for their example of dynamics and musicianship, the shit sounds awful when you have all section blowing as loud as they can, and with cheeks poked out, there has been one song where SU has done a pretty good job of dynamics and that's Dangerously In Love

+Guy Neely their arrangements are "decent".. still not up to par with the Juke and the Boom. Need see some versatility... more ballads and technical stuff... and Btones are still either over powering or upper brass needs step thru game up
