So guess who’s slowly learning to draw days before art school. I got unnecessarily happy last night because I drew an umbrella without a reference.

You got into art school without being able to draw??

I can´t draw a thing without a reference, I think 2 times in my life I maneged to do it, one is a little embarrasing but I did zeus head that I decided not to try anything else after because I wanted to keep that satisfaction of "my last attempt did good" hahahaha

Sometimes you learn more about productivity and work ethic from UA-cam videos then from your average university classes... What a strange world we live in :) Encouragement from an artist for a fellow artist. Great job Happy D.

    1) make a to do list
    2) tackle easy tasks first
    3) get rid of distractions
    4) surround yourself with a productive Playlist
    5) Give yourself breaks

I became so enamored with watching your painting unfold that I almost missed the five secrets lol. That is beautiful work; and the tips are clearly the voice of experience. Thanks for sharing your wisdom on this subject; as it makes the difference between frustration and a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day 🤗

Wonderful painting as always! The blending on the skin is absolutely beautiful. For me I’ve found that I’m more productive when a podcast or tv show is in the background, but it has to be a show that I can listen to but don’t have to look at. I’ve noticed that sitcoms seem to work well for that

totally feel the struggle of working from home - distractions galore! but creating physical barriers (e.g. distance or enclosures) can help a lot, as you say. I dont watch shows while I work anymore, but when appropriate I'll listen to a motivational / business podcast, or when I need to focus more I'll listen to one of the many instrumental lofi playlists on YT.

Your painting process videos are a joy, and I've found your art advice to be overall very sound. Thank you for sharing! Quick question: what do you use for the super-vibrant pink color I've seen in your work? I'm an opera pink addict, but I've only ever seen that electric, rosey shade in watercolors until coming across your channel, and I'd love to find an oil paint that fits the bill!

I like how you make videos in the past than today.. the previews video your uploading now is super perfectionist and i feel boring and lose interest.. the joyfulness in your voice was gone and how you speak on voice over seems so perfectionist. Its educational but its like ur teacher in the school giving some lesson in a boring way. I feel like ur so far and the closeness I felt in ur older video with the viewers was really gone. I hope you will bring it back. :'( its like ur just reading your notes while speaking..
