Well you didn't "repair" a corrupted video. Yo just converted a perfectly fine .mkv file into a .mp4 file. If i try the exact same thing with only the corrupted .mp4 it doesn't work.

As people have said...The MP4 corrupt file wasn't repaired - an alternative was created from a file that wasn't corrupt - a different title to your video would probably save a lot of wasted time for watchers.
Didnt work for me. Even creating a new empty folder a box pops up saying file already exists and the options overwrite or continue just keeps popping the same box up.

Well I followed the process exactly as you said it and it did not work for me. It gives me a message for keep existing file or overwrite existing file, and that's in a different folder than the source folder, I do not know if the reason why it's giving me the message is because my file's format is *.mov, it does not matter if I choose overwrite, or keep existing file it just keeps popping the same message over and over indefinitely. Any suggestions as to why that's happening? Thanks
bro i was cut my videos to my sd 64 gb memory and i was recut to my computer then some of them can't play! and showed video file closed in gom player and can it be fixed ? help me! 😖 these videos is vital important for me!

@@Agenterino I used the same steps but for an mp4 format, and I don't see my video being played. Its over 4 hours long. I know its salvageable because I tried using an online software and it gave me the full video, but with a watermark on it lol. any solutions?
mayb mac . dont know quite how this video shows someone fixing a corrupted and unplayable video file . this does show how to convert a video file to another format however . if ones purpose is to convert something on a mac then go to file at the top of the screen and then in drop down select convert /stream and there will appear a similar menu . in any case rather use handbrake to convert things . again not sure how the video is supposed to show fixing of a corrupted file . i have tried this method on a corrupted file and the resultant file does not play as well and ammounts to mere bytes of info as compared to mb with the corrupted file

Downvoted. This procedure has nothing to do with corrupted files. It's really about using MKV so files aren't corrupted in the first place.
