Hi! Manager here, love the feedback and we will continue to improve our food, thanks so much for stopping by!
That rib eye thing needs to be re worked maybe some chopped rib eye shi
Good to see feedback from the Mgr.
Seems worth the $50 After seeing the thin ribeye...I'm going $40
two drinks too; 45-50 dont seem too bad; youre right 40 something is good.
You guys are wild. That's a 35 dollar meal at MAX
@@HiImBeans in what country lol. The plandemic and politicians have caused massive inflation. $50 looks about right for this.
@@PraiseJesusChristOurSavior I cannot walk into YOUR Canadian food places to order without first knowing how to speak French!! Da hell's wrong witchu people up there? Imma gonna slappa da snot outta yo face wit da wet spahetti. Mama Mia!!!
daym, you need to drop by Frankenson’s Pizza in Vegas!! not a bad place at all, but it’s a local shop that has had a rise from a tiktok food reviewer and they were saved from bankruptcy! i think you making them even wider known would be awesome. love the conemt
I’m from Waterbury and love Frankie’s and miss it like crazy since moving out of state
I used to love Frankie's when I lived it ct
Oh gosh. That "steak" sandwich looked really sad! The clams and fries looked darn good and good portion. That dog looked alright. I got burned on the chicken. It looked decent but apparently was not. No go for the $50.00, for sure.
Steak sandwich looks fine for street food. Looks dry, but if I got a good price at a street stand and was drinking beer and hanging out then I'd be ok with it. But there's nothing gourmet about it. Inflation is so bad now that even cheap crap is going to cost a lot for the restaurant to make any money.
Not justifying it but that’s one of those “filler” sandwiches. You get a small portion of a main protein and then “filler” with condiments. That’s why they checked if he really didn’t want the onions/peppers/etc on it. It’s a money maker item. If that costs 10$ I think he said, it likely costs them 2-3$ to make per sandwich. Plus that’s definitely a smaller cut of meat too, I think a skirt. Or they chopped a ribeye in half, idk.
In Vancouver that be $80-$100
@@kameronsun We're using dollars, not Canadian pesos. And stop sending us your quarters down here. If I get a Canadian quarter I have to hope the cashier doesn't notice and pawn it off to the next victim. 😆❤️
That rib eye looked like a steak from the dollar store 😂😂
That was a rib-lie
@@dallrevenge9256 😂😂😂😂
It is. It's thin and you can tell they used meat glue to hold the rib-eye piece together. The grain is all different directions.
That 2 review on the dog was suspect, the dog being salty would have been immediately evident not after going home. At any rate, fair rating on what you had, they gotta throw another slice of that steak on there to warrant the price.
yeah kinda strange how they assume the hot dog is salty. They did order steak fries (fries are usually salty lol)
It was extremely suspect, also franks and weiners are high in sodium, how else do people think they last so long in refrigeration without going bad? They're preserved in a brine!
That pause moment @ 10:38 THEN the footlong right all up on the mouthpiece a second later was pure comedy gold 🤣 💀
That took me 😭😭
Let me get this right, when they ate the Hot Dogs they didn't taste salty, but when they got home they were thirsty?! Did they smoke a Phatty on the way home?! Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!!
“My stomach is telling me to pipe down, I’m tryna pipe up…..” 👀 Had me rolling 😂
Me too😂😂
Pause😂
I honestly think folks are just miserable
AGREED!
Say that again
Sound like they order there food from a grocery.
Most folks are just happier that way.
Not always true. Restaurants have bad days and bad times too lol. Also Daym is VERY recognizable big bald black dude with a large grey and black beard in CT isn’t had to distinguish in a crowd lol so his experiences aren’t always reflective of what the restaurant is actually doing every other day. But there are just some people you can’t please sometimes.
That ribeye sandwich would have been way better with the veggies it’s supposed to have. That looks like a good sandwich to me for $10.
Hi daym! I've been watching you since 2020. Love your videos.
Visually the steak made me upset instantly, but I'm glad everything tasted decently. I'm disappointed about the chicken too, I thought it was gonna be fire.
I think a lot of restaurants get bad reviews from their competition to try and get you not to go there
You’d think wrong.
Frankie's is the best. I used to go to the one in Bristol weekly back in '94 and ' 95 when I was in High School. 30 minute drive but worth it.
Decades later my wife and I rented their food truck for our first daughter's baby shower. Food truck was out of their Waterbury location and the food was A+.
Absolutely. He needs to go to Watertown ave, Chase Ave, or Reidville Dr.
10:42 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You looked at the camera like you got a message to say pause!! You know people was gonna go crazy in the comments. I'm Literally crying! That shit was on point!
10:30 had me rollin, great job Daym!
I just love how your so happy and jolly all the time
At 10:29........THE TAR-TAR SAUCE STRUCK BACK!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fifty dollars is about right, but the food itself don't look to appetizing. The fries and the wings look tasty, at least the sauce on the wings looked ok. 👍
The last thing I want on my sandwich is too much bread and not enough of the good stuff u_u
$50 for that? Yea that looks like a ripoff! The steak sandwich looked so cheap. Like they used that fake ribeye you can buy from dollar tree🙈🤣🤣
The rest of that meal looked to be similar. Cheap food for a hefty price🤷🏾♂️
If you didn't know a hotdog and fries were salty then that's on you! Not the cooks.
A hotdog sitting in the windows under a heat lamp for a few minutes isn't an issue. Time goes by pretty slow when you're getting triggered easily.
You can't expect a plate full of clams and expect the price point to be affordable.
The steak sandwich was a goofy order. And you chose to spend $50! Don't do that and make it out like it's a normal thing to do lol. You also commented on the bread steak sandwich but you didn't do it proper with the onions and peppers. Stop playing! You're better than that.
That thumb-flip-action in 6:33 has been executed perfectly
It's funny how people lower the rating by saying "we were thirsty when we got home".
Me: Don't you buy drinks with meals (or just have water)?
Usually, when people lower the rating when leaving to house, the response is that they were throwing up or having stomach aches
It's a lot of food so I think it's worth about $50. The steak sandwich should have toppings but the thinness of the steak keeps it tender.
In Vegas You have to check out this place called sushi burrito, not sure if it’s a chain but I’ve been there once and it was crazy
I go to the Frankie's in Waterbury. They always do a very good job and the staff is extremely friendly
that. is. not. gourmet. …. lmfaoooo!
Definitely looks like its worth a solid 50!
Ppl complaining about a hot dog and chili being too salty shouldn’t be eating hot dogs. smh
To many choices in Vegas😋I have family in Henderson NV
Bro, it’s fried food it’s going to be greasy. It’s literally fried in grease bro!
Worst Indian 🇮🇳 food Daym! Let's go!
Not worth $50.
Safe Journey!
CHOLULA!!!
My husband and I have been going to Frankies for many many years. We visit the Waterbury location on Reidville Drive just off Rt 84. This Frankies is family run. They have wonderful customer service. My husband orders either their hot dog or his favorite fish sandwich. I get a dog or cheeseburger. Frankies is well known around here for the hot dog. The cheeseburger is a four out of five stars for me. Everything else is top notch. My husband likes his fries well done and is always pleased.
I got a Frankie’s by my house and it slaps every time 🔥
😂🤣 ...LMAO at when you had to 'PAUSE' before eating the hot dog!!!! 😂🤣
Lived in Plainville my whole life the bar that was there was better 😂
Frankie's moved from Bristol a while ago but they are well known for their hotdogs hamburgers and their shakes, which I love. I never got any other foods their. I can't believe they are rated a 2. Yes they need a thicker ribeye. The clam strips looked really good.
I like the way you poked fun at the guys who say, "Look away," over the dog sticking out. 🌭
literally laughed out loud hahah, he's the best
Sam's Club thin sliced Ribeye also...
Daym you can’t order bread and steak and expect to be wowed 😂
When will you make it to Louisiana and try some real food ?
I love some good fried seafood with a nice tartar sauce that compliments it
And.. to be even more honest.. you did have the ribeye sandwich plain with no toppings and no sauteed onions and no peppers, completely opposite of what they sandwiches meant to be experience as.. I believe you should give this ribeye sandwich a second chance with everything on it... get this sandwich big and sloppy like it was meant to be and I bet you'll be surprised... as for me, tartar sauce is a lot like biscuits and gravy period. You find a exact recipe flavors that you particularly enjoy and all the rest of them are crap..

Yo Dame....I see u with that Glizzy 🤣
I wish you had highlighted the good customer service in your actual review. Sometimes bosses read that and it'll help out the workers with pay and promotions
Great video, I thinkk you should order one at a time, once food cools off it's not the same.
The bacon on that dog looks drier than the sahara desert
That's that dollar store ribeye right there...
You were in a very good mood filming this one! Normally you’re always on the up but you brought your own five piece today!
that's worth like $20-$25 at most. that steak sandwich probably cost $3 to put together, the clams and fries probably cost them $5-$7, the hotdog $3, the wings cost them probably $3-$5 a portion. the drinks cost them about .25 cents including the cost of the cup, straw and lid. so about $16.50 worth of food for $50. rule of thumb is 3 times what the dish cost to make. I can't be mad at the profit margin.
How you going say that when a 6 pack of wings cost $10 out the grocery store. Unreasonable prices you give. Now I can't say nothing about execution that depends on the chef or cook in the back.
Didn't know you were a time traveler, you'd need to go back to 1999 to get those type of prices for that food.
Even just 2018 to 2023, inflation is up 20 cents per dollar.
@@resilientinspiration because they buy wholesale. I manage a place that makes wings. I see what the case costs my friend
@Hibbington I said I can't be mad and rule of thumb is 3 times what the dish cost to make. The cost doesn't change.
great video as always, thanks for all the time and effort you put into this channel, it has brought so much joy i hope you know that. Much appreciated!
I ain’t evah been this early but daym I love you!! Stay grinding and continuing to be an inspiration!!!!
frankies is a slightly better version of Goodies. I know You know about Goodies Daym 😉 I have been to this location multiple times and the food is good. Don't Expect anything else. Down the road is a similar place called Saints which is eerily much like Frankies. There are multiple chains in Connecticut such as Dutchess, Nardeli's, Donut Crazy*must, and Chip's that the audience needs to see from outside our little state.
Sparse Steak Samich... Hits and Misses from what I see 🤷♂️. It may cost $50.00 not worth $50.00...WHOMP!! WHOMP!!
"Stomach like,You better pipe down...I'm tryna pipe up......pause"🤣🤣🤣
I was there when he was filming this love to see the work 🙏🏾
Way it looks, I would say maybe $40 tops. Clam strips and wings looked ok.
Yup looks like a$30 meal
Prime rib sandwich- $14
Hot dog - $6
Clam strips (15 - 20)
Hot wings - $10
I'm thinking $50 sounds alright. Might be overestimating the prime rib sandwich and clam strips, though
No more q the music 😒🥲😏
In your state yes, my state no.
The steak looks depressed
Hotdog ain't far from being Depressed.
HELL F*CKING NOOO.. That's not £50 of food 😂😂😂. You got ripped off big time... £20 at BEST for that
The steak sandwich reminds me of the bifana from Portugal.
Daym- great review. I’ve never tried anything but dogs and fries at Frankie’s. To me it’s a hot dog joint. I wouldn’t order steak and seafood at BK and certainly wouldn’t at Frankie’s. Always stop at the Waterbury locations when I can.
Gourmet? No way! Back away!!
Putting "gourmet" in front of the name just doubles the price. Nothing there looks "gourmet." I think it's just a scam to see how fast they can part you from your money. I can make all these things at home, so I don't need to out for this kinda stuff. Just had to add that's $50 USD or $68.04 CAD. Dude, Behave.
I don' t think the meal is worth $50..the steak look like a small step from a steak'um..I can see why folks need water after a hotdog with bacon 🤷🏾♀️...I agree a good fry is good butt naked!
That pork skinned wing that feels like play dough. That extra 1.50 side of wings from the Chinese restaurant wing. Why?
Was that a steak hot pocket 🧐
But why you take everything off the steak sandwich and then complain about it not having enough tho? I mean...Really? Now that's just silly.
Looks alone i'd say that's on the higher end of average for price. Take out food is getting more and more expensive so that seems like $35-$50 range worth. Steak sandwich looks decent, maybe a little thin. I don't do extra crispy bacon so can't really comment on that but the hot dog bun looks good. Wings look a little too wet for me, kinda sloppy. All in all it looks like something i'd try but probably wouldn't come back for.
I really wish when it comes to "wangz" you would try my favorite, Hot honey BBQ with lemon pepper sprinkles (, heavy of course."
Was thinking yeah maybe 50 dollars is an ok price, but for the size of the t bone and the hot dog. No I don't think it's worth paying 50 dollars for everything if you ask me. Maybe like 45 or 40.
Frankie’s is more known for their hot dogs, the chili cheese dogs are the best I’ve had at least, it’s probably the location you went to but the one in Waterbury has never been bad for me at least,
You need to make a trip to the South. MS, AL, and Louisiana, specifically New Orleans...
You get thicker steak from McDonald's smh. And it looks dry af. The clam strip plate looks decent and then wings look wet wet but disappointing. Hot dog is aight looking. Not worth 50 bones tho
$42 total with the sodas before tip...
Thanks for what you do..I enjoy videos very much..
Right Off the bat, heck no! That food does not look worth the $50 you spent! Look at the small sorry piece of steak! Look at that partially burnt bacon on that dog...eeew!😝😜
we love that place. No complaints but I do agree with your review for sure! thanks for the info!
Dude NEVER gets any food on or in his beard. Thumbs up just for that FAIM..LOL
2 spots in vegas that are awful. 1. Boardwalk casino and hotels surf buffet is just plain awful
2. Circus circus buffet even worse !
Man it’s always the WORST reviewed restaurants. When we gonna get back to seeing the BEST reviewed ones?
am i the only one who gets pissed off at places that cut wings apart and calls them 2 wings? 1 wing is a drum AND a flat. just because you separate them doesn't make them 2 magically. stop robbing us.
I give 1 star just for that baby back steak sandwich they gave you for 10 dollars! You can get hurt for that in some places.
In terms of looks off the bat, that looks worth under 50 American, especially with the sandwich.
That is one tiny thin steak FFS! Funky tartar-thatès not good. DQ did have good buffalo wings.
When you are lut n about and wanna grab a bite, try that news mcds bacon ranch mccrispy. We enjoyed it. If mcds chicken was as thick as Popeyes itd be a winner. Popeyes doesn't have the flavor mcds has.
The only thing I know that has bad food in Las Vegas is circus circus buffet and Luxor buffet . Most restaurants are pretty good on the strip and Freemont .
That steak sandwich and the hot dog looked sick and not in a good way. Bleh. The clam strips looked decent and at least they gave you a decent amount. The wings looked okay. However, I don't feel like that entire meal is worth that much. $50 is excessive.
Are you sure that wasn't ranch and not tarter sauce? I mean, i know you probably know the difference in taste. However, ive just never see a tarter sauce that watery. Espeically if youre expecting one thing and getting another, it could be super off putting to the tastebud
That sad ribeye looked thin enough to see through, and was overdone. The rest looked okay, but for $50? It should have come with an Uber ride there and back.
I'm from Miami and if anyone tried serving that steak sandwich here . U gonna have big problems. That looks terrible
Definitely not worth the money that steak is two paper thin. They should give two slices at minimum. They used to be much better years ago. They’ve gotten worse over time hotdogs and deep-fried in a while. Definitely not worth it.
