@@BlackRose85789 sometimes even a small inconvenience makes people upset. That’s unreasonable. Some restaurants around me have pretty great food and bad reviews. Foods great, experience is good, so personally it’s 5/5 for me.

How was that the worst reviewed Italian restaurant in CT? That food looked crazy delicious 😋
CT has a ton of italians so even the lower rated stuff has to be pretty decent or it won't survive due to the fierce competition.
Seems like service issues, poor communication, etc. Even the worst reviews only really had one complaint about the actual food. Not that that's unfair. I wish Yelp had a clear breakdown between food ratings and service ratings, that seems like it would be more fair. But I don't blame people for not enjoying themselves when the service is bad/confusing.
People leave bad reviews for any little thing they don't like
As they should be able to Keith. They’re the ones keeping the business alive via their pocket book. Without the customer the business won’t exist 🤷

And then write a narrative about it if mger does fix it with discount or coupon. And a discussion with the employee.
The chef can only translate your request for an item within reason
Chef can't make the chicken perfectly for every single person different taste buds
One will say excellent another will say too much seasoning or overcooked or too thick or too rich with sauce or it was not soft enough for my liking
Even family members have different likes and dislikes in the same items
If food is good we want to make sure potential clients get a chance to enjoy instead of seeing poor rating thinking the food is bad
People will leave a bad rating for wait time or because no one said hello or they did not like the waiter
You know when Daym cues the music before the first bite that its going to be OFFICIAL!

Imagine how many places may be shut down if everyone just depended on internet reviews like Yelp if it got a bad enough rating a perfectly good place least of all in that area could just be shut down forever. :p That would be terrible... :(

Dude YES.Listen, soul food and Italian food are so damn synonymous it's wild and delicious. Rich, filling, plentiful, seasoned, and always made with love.

My granddaughter would love that place. She eats Italian/Pasta 24/7. Her Sweet 16 is next month and you guessed it. We're going out for Italian, but in Manchester
Looks real good. Sometimes I think people rate things terribly because one they can and two they may not serve the generic foods they are used too. This seemed pretty good Italian food closer to traditional than Lets say what olive garden would serve etc... Although I'm not American, it's just something I've noticed watching food reviews etc...
could be inconsistent quality too! or maybe they worked in recent times to better the menu! either way i’m happy he was able to do a review on a misjudged restaurant that hopefully brings more attention to it !
I'm from Lazio and this is 100% correct. It's like Fettucini Alfredo, you only ever find it in one region of Italy and that's where I'm from - Lazio (and usually only in Roma)! And where are most Italian-Americans from? Sicilia (for the record Sicilian food beats anywhere else in Italy in my opinion). Technically, they shouldn't have even heard of this dish, for the same reason people from Perugia don't know what Suppli are. And it's not made the way it is in America. And we don't call it Alfredo, it's Al Burro. And Pepperoni pizza, dunno what that monstrosity is but a Peperoni Pizza in Italy is usually vegetarian. melanzane alla parmigiana has meat in America, but not Italy. Chicken/Veal parm is also American, doesn't exist in Italy. Creamy sauces in America are usually made with cream, in Italy they're made with eggwhites. And so on and so forth.
There's adapting and then there's making up complete shit and calling it Italian. Like the Limoncello cake, never seen that in a restaurant, must be some family recipe, love the idea. That's something I consider Italian whilst not really something you would find on a dessert menu here.

Probably because there's like 20 Italian restaurants in every town. I live in a very small town and theres at lesst 6 I can think of near me. There's just wayyyy to much competition
Which is why I (and a friend) can't understand why Olive Garden is still so popular. I've had better Italian food at numerous family owned Italian restaurants.
This is our favorite place. Personalized meals made with love. The company , drinks and food are amazing. They also will customize items. The chicken fingers are also a family favorite. A local family owned business. ❤
I hope they read the reviews and made changes in my opinion they definitely have made positive changes which is a great thing. The food looked absolutely amazing
i challenge you order the worst reviewed items purchased from that reviewer. Ordering whatever you want just shows the service side of the place. I rather see you order what they did to prove that their review was valid. Keep doing what you do but that is something to consider.

Daym Drops I've watched a few of your worst reviewed spots and I have a suggestion, don't go as soon as they open you cannot get a true opinion of the place. Of course as soon as they open the restaurant should be at its best as they as usually are prepped ro open and get thru lunch rush. Go during lunch rush or afterwards and then review. See if the manager is on point along with the staff with service. Not trying to tell you how to do your job, but being in the restaurant industry those times will tell if they are legit. Stay safe
I love that the cream sauce isn't soupy in texture...it actually coats and sticks to the tortellini. Looks delicious.

I was watching this video and it reminded me of a visit to a pizza joint in Oceanside California.
I went to see my son, he was stationed at camp Pendleton and living in barracks... we went to a pizza place that had a 4.5 rating on yelp. The first clue that we pushed past was, the place was empty at dinner time. Long story short, it was so bad that my son didn't even want to take leftovers with him. You know it's bad when a marine living in barracks would rather throw it in the garbage then take it with him... I do not remember the name of the place, but it was that bad... enjoying your videos thanks for posting

As a chef of 25 yrs with years in fine dining, I have been faced with preparing for vip food reviewers, and before common cellphones. Now my soul would trade any review for someone dancing in their seat to some fried risotto....
My opinion what makes or breaks a Italian restaurant is their tomato sauce.
For me it's Japanese food, then Italian food, then soul food!!! But I agree these are foods you CANNOT mess up or we got problems!!!

Just letting you know, most authentic Italian restaurants open at 5 and the bar inside closes around 10 or 11. Italian restaurants don’t typically do breakfast or lunch so there’s no point in keeping the place running. It saves money and creates routine customers
