What issues? All boost controller diagrams point to using comp housing also. The video, or your response hasn’t clarified what issues you are suggesting and why moving reference point resolved them?
Did this problem solved out? Can you explain the issue of the vacuum line from turbine housing to manifold, do you have any experience on that as im having boost creep at high rpm and i suspect that wastegate is maxing out at high rpm.
I would need to know the setup, the tune and dyno sheet to exactly be able to see what's going on. There's so much that can come into play with boost creep.

reason the turbo is used for refrence is usualy because boost is higher pre intercooler and faster responding than post or mani :)
I know why they recommend it, but I've seen issues resolved when it's moved.

Take the spring out
No time, customer didn't wanna leave the vehicle and by the time it cooled down there wouldn't of been enough time.

His wastegate was failing, there's a video on our tik tok that shows how it broke
