I like the choices he made here for a finale performance. You see this in GBB too. When someone has a historic run, their performances leading up to that final are absolutely a factor. And a celebration of that, their innovations, the status they've achieved, their best sounds and melodies, are perfectly appropriate things to highlight in your finals performance. (of course Den still drops some new garnishes on the plate too)
then you add in his play on words with his hisstory, and winners write the history, his history of all his bbu rounds mixed back up in his throat blender and spit back put fire, plus the rest of the beatbox history film in the background, it's just so many layers I suspect many who claim it's repetitive or whatever just are not smart enough to grasp the intense amount of layers and symbolism here.
Den really step up his game! I thought the inward bass and the inward high pitch combo is crazy but this is something else. Den really improve every time he battles with someone.
