He took the Beat Box scene by storm, ultimately becoming the beat boxer of 2022! “Moments I Had” hands down the best piece of the BBU, bringing in people who normally aren’t invested in beat boxing. Even myself, I always loved beat boxing but I never really looked forward to hearing beat box pieces. But now I appreciate beat box on a whole other level. And look forward to other Artist push the boundaries of beat box. Den your musicality and versatility of genres that you incorporate will be an inspiration, for not only new beat box artist but even veterans wanting to push themselves to be better! Sensations was the round that gave me the most goosebumps, the most "WOW" moments. Loved the dnb round in Twisted Fate! Those would have to be my two favourites.
Den’s submissions to the bbu are the only ones that I regularly feel like listening again and again. Moments I Had, Sensations, twisted faith and history are my favorite ones. Den is not just a excellent beatboxer but a great singer and musician. This is what makes him stand out and why his songs are so enjoyable to listen to (even for people not into beatboxing).
Spot on, i've been interested in beatbox from back in the days when it was a thing in rap with Biz Markie etc.. was then later blown away by Rahzel ....then long time time passed and the next time something amazed me was performances from MadTwinz because they could actually make dope MUSIC!.. But now.. just discovered Den yesterday, and i'm f##king blown away.. this is just crazy..will be hard for anyone to match this. He is not only technically insanely good.. but the tracks are really catchy...and it's almost like they would be hard to produce better, even with a DAW and "real" synths and samples..

I eq'ed my Bose Quiet Comfort headphones recently to rewatch and hear everything nice and crispy and balanced. It sent chills down my spine to hear all the mix of bass, groove and highs. There were a lot of great rounds in this competition, but Den’s compositions elevated the BBU from a battle to something else-something far greater. I’ve been watching beatboxing obsessively for…jeez, has it been 3 years, already? I’ve never gotten into the battle aspect. I’m just not into that kind of competition. For me, long as everyone is improving, they are winning-competing with themselves to always be better. But I know some people need that external competition, and I respect that. In this competition, Hiss played smart and won, and he even improved, bettering himself. So he deserves kudos. And I absolutely adore the fact of his professionalism. I hope he serves as an example to all beatboxers who want to make a career out of it. It shows respect for the art, the other artists, and the organizers. It even shows that he respects _himself_ and his chosen career. I think it’s so important, in fact, that IMO, he deserved to win the 10k EUR _just for that_. So I’m pleased with the outcome. But as a whole, the quality of musical tracks Den put out was just stunning, and also deserves all the kudos he’s gotten and more. His tracks were just _better_ than everyone else’s. Except maybe that one Wing track (I mean, damn!) The lyricism (especially in “Missing You”), the structure, the performance and melodies. He’s a little stiff, but it’s endearing (I think B-Art is probably the best of the bunch in terms of charisma, but lots of the competitors were actually quite good in front of the camera, and better than Den.) But it was obvious that Den needed a little more time to polish “Missing You” production-wise, and that is one of the drawbacks of a competition format. I hope (so hard!) that he continues to create his gorgeous music and release it to us on the streaming platforms. I hope he can make a successful career out of music. Because I don’t want it to end. I still love all these songs! If this were a competition that made sense to _me_, it’d be everyone putting out their best tracks and being judged at the end. But that’d be boring as all hell 😅. So I’ll continue to support Chezame and Sxin and just be happy with what we got. Which was some of the finest beatbox this world has ever seen.
