Mechanized, full crum based all the way up, in order to anticipate from any changes in temperature, subject to daily depex as well. Sana nagcompute ka din based on the assumption na hallow yung poles with the thickness of let's say 3 inches, 2.5 and 2 inches from bottom to top.. para mas kumpleto sana..
I’m confused why you compute the gross weight assuming it as a solid tapered pole. Being solid then will amount the gross weight computation to be unrealistically too heavy and impractical since it is always assumed to be internally hollow. Was it designed and manufactured to be solid? If not, my understanding is that the net volume (hollow volume deducted) should be considered to reach the realistic tonnage. Please enlighten further on its actual price v estimated price.

People here are commenting why was it even necessary to have a new flagpole. Ganito kasi yon. Nung 1946, lumaya tayo mula sa US di ba? Nung 1998, naipasa ang RA 8491, or yung Flag and Heraldic Code. As per Section 16 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the law, "If planted on the ground, the flagpole shall be at a prominent place and shall be of such height as would give the National Flag commanding position in relation to the buildings in the vicinity. The flagpole must not be of equal height or higher than the Independence Flagpole at the Rizal Park, Manila." Which means required by law na yung flagpole sa Luneta dapat ang pinakamataas sa Pilipinas. E since 105 m nga lang siya, it wasn't. Yan ang main reason bakit kinailangan nila palitan yung flagpole to begin with. Justifiable ang presyo na binuhos for the project, kasi syempre di ba, nakakahiya if maputol na naman yung flagpole dahil lang may bagyong dumaan.
Question Engr. Rico. You mentioned that one of the components that made the independence flag pole really expensive is because it is motorized. Why is it that in the videos you included in your vlog the flag was being raised manually? Did you ask the people from the dpwh what happened to the motor, which is supposed to raise the Philippine flag?
that clip is at 2:44 if you look closely or just listen carefully, when he was computing the weight of the pole he mentiond that the lower part of the pole is morethan 2 ft in diameter which is obviously a lot thicker than that of the video. And even without that data it is so obvious that the video isn't the independence flag at all but rather just a representation of manual pulley. To put it simply, what you're talking about is a different pole. Did you ask the dpwh what happened to the motor? I bet you didn't.
The video shown is an old video i saw the actual pole it has a mechanized system into it however i think there is an option to do it manually in case of technical problem or for ceremonial purposes

Lowest estimated cost ang gi namit before tax pa Yan.. Meaning, d cost of the flag pole excluding d construction can go up to 4M to 5M.. Hnd ibig sabihin may corruption agad cost pa Lang NG material ng flag pole ang pinag uusapan... D pa kasama sa diniscuss ang overall cost. Construction taxes permits labor etc.. Intindihin muna bago puna
No need naman gawing solid ang pole...sobrang bigat cguro first segment ok lng pero sa gitna at dulo hollow na yan...2 or 3 inch thick walang bagyo current maka bend dyan..

so, if the steel is imported and it worth 3 million plus as you estimated and considering that the project was done in a matter of less than a month. yes less than a month lang ang tinagal ng paggawa. mukhang justified ang 7 million, dapat tinalakay mo rin yung mga stone/marmol na ginamit sa base kung magkano. yung contract price sa contractor magkano plus yung tax incentive for the importation of the materials used for the structure

Solid flagpole is not as flexible or resilient as hallow. It's also heavier.

Well, it is his estimates, it is his point of view, we cannot say that it is exactly the price. And the word "Estimate" defined as: The statement of probable cost.
Di mo naintindihan yung tanong nya. Sana di ka na lang nagcomment.

I'm not realy a fan of filipino youtube creators but damn I sorta enjoyed it
People here are commenting why was it even necessary to have a new flagpole.
