  • significanthomes.com/home/fine... Here is an architecturally significant home with one of the most important architectural pedigrees, on 25 acres, the largest estate property in the country, only eight miles from a downtown, arts district and airport. The original architect in 1939 was Maurice Fatio, voted New York's most popular architect in the 1920s, who designed estate homes in New York and Palm Beach for prominent families including the Vanderbilts and Huttons, and the renovation architect, Peter Marino, who is one of the nation's most accomplished architects, with projects across the country. The homeowners, along with Peter Marino, honored, and further refined, the powerful architecture and perfect proportions that Maurice Fatio was known for in New York and Palm Beach and are still celebrated today. This ultra luxury estate home features artisanship, materials and a site that cannot be replicated even if one had the resources and five or ten years to commit to a residential endeavor.

I am fascinated by this property...I would love to wake up in one of the rooms with windows on three sides. Go for a morning stroll on the beautiful grounds. Watch my children run and play in the back by the spring fed creek. The symmetry of it is so calming. The architecture grand.

Stunning. The picture of elegant restraint. Nothing jarring or excessive. All aspects flawlessly supporting the overall impression . I’d love to see the interiors.

Outstanding Narration. The design of the approach road is pure genius. (a very Olmstead like approach)
Truly an army of craftsmen and artisans poured their souls into this work of art.

These homes are a plenty in America... I think it is the fact that is such a large Estate less than 5 minutes from downtown Dallas that makes this unique. Dallas in the 9th largest city in America and to have such a serene environment that close is unique in itself...

I'm normally not impressed with these kind of home, but this one is 'way' above beautiful, The scenery, the balance and serenity of the home is something I think even God himself would be happy with. This architect if way above par in my book,
Well. done video by this guy also, his voice and manner did justice to the video.

This house is in the heart of a big city. Cotswolds and Berkshire are in the country. This is like 25 acres in Hampstead.

Most uber-rich homes leave me feeling cold, but this was really nice. Kudos to the film crew too, perspective controlled and fluid. But I'd prefer owning hills and mountains so I could bike through my property, rather than the flat lands most of these estates seem to be built on.

That's not quite what he said, though his phrasing is a bit confusing. He said only estate that size within 5 minutes of a major downtown arts district or commercial center. There are plenty of estate homes on larger lots throughout the US, but they are further from the cities they surround.

the most prominent residential architect in New York in the 1920s was Rosario Candela not Fatio.

You'll find homes like these all over England, scattered around the Cotswolds, Berkshire. Family estates going back hundreds of years. How come there is only one with 25 acres in America.

The best destiny of this real estate will be if the state could bye it, to become a state property, so it could be open for public. It is pity not to be open. As a museum it could serve to all people who like architecture. Very, very beautiful.

Maurice Fatio designed many homes in Palm Beach, but not Maralago.
