    thanks, I already solved a problem of three, I am missing two, the start of the actual injection varies a lot and the deviation of the injection quantity in the cylinders is, cylinder 1 = 1.88mg / str, cylinder 2 = 1.88, cylinder 3 = -1.88, cylinder 4 = -1.88. can you help me please, THANK YOU.

      Hammer mod and vcds (vat com) will help with injection quality you want to see between 3-5mg at idle as far as start of injection varying its normal to have some my injection pump varies enough that it will go from dead on to slightly advanced the slightly retarded some pump vary more than others my is on the lose side as long as it doesn't vary to much you should be fine

    This is a nice video, just wanna let u know mine was off the chart way too advanced for 2 years and still runs fine so definitely not the cause of your engine dying

      Thanks for telling me that man that makes me feel better I still haven't tore that engine apart to see what happened. I plan on doing a video of the tear down in the next few months.

      @@gearhead4266 I'm learning and definitely far from a mechanic but I didn't even know since my car has so many mods , turbo , injectors, 11 core in the pump , remap , bigger ic 63 mm exhaust and ic lines , like i told u its out of the graph u can't even see the top of the yellow line what you're calling advanced made me laugh and anything inside the top and middle line would be normal compared to how advanced it was on mine , so definitely not that the cause of it

      Try replacing the glow plug harness they are cheap for what they are. I had similar issues on my alh and that fixed it. Some actually recommend replacing the harness when you replace all the glow plugs

    How do you know by “driving you car”that the pump’s timing is off? Someone please reply..

    • @svendittmann3105
      @svendittmann3105 3 місяці тому

      your engine doesn't start!!
      After timing belt change your TDI should start with the 1st crank = blue line .... more than one crank is red or yellow.
      The adjustment range of your pump is aprox. 5° or 7° only 2° or 3° of this range is START or no start.
      Between red or yellow is power and fuel economy or frustration!
      Double check your timing locks before putting on and fasten your new belt!!!

    what about the mechanical adjustment with a dial gauge for people who don't have access to VCDS?
    yay or nay?
    any good or better to leave it alone?

      @@gearhead4266 most older VW Diesel engines (VW,Audi, Seat, Skoda) use the Bosch VP37
      VW golf, Skoda Octavia or VW T4, all the same pump.
      I think for 5 cylinders you have 0.55 and 4 cylinders 0.7 pump lift at TDC
      my question is how this will look in VCDS if you use this method.
      an other question would be if it's different across engines, like the ASV has smaller injector nozzles and slightly higher stage 1 pressure than the AGR or ASV

    • @gearhead4266
      @gearhead4266  2 роки тому

      @@nathanwest2304 on a mechanical pump sure but on a electronic pump like the later alh there is no other method. In VCDS there are many engines to choose from all OBD2 for VW Audi and Porsche. VCDS will have all the time charts.
      VCDS the software is free it's the interface you have to pay for the cheapest being 199USD being that this is a tool the vw uses them selfs for diagnostics its a bargin compared to the rest.

      And when I said not all pumps are the same I mean 2 of the same alh pumps will not be 100% identical more like 99.9 and it will make a difference
