I've used a glove over the pump head. It held on, and didn't slip for the whole job.
One would like to know what size are the tools needed

I also have mixed feelings about it kermatdi told me they can use it for tuning and get more mpgs out of it but it does clog up your intake plus it feeds the engine it's own shit honestly I'm leaning more and more to getting rid of it but I'm also in Florida so I can do that and not get in trouble

What about the seal around the electrical switch on the front side.
I'm doing mine now, but my head is pretty happy attached to the pump body... I guess I've have to get a little more aggressive on separating them.... it's on a mid 80s 9mm pump...

hi, the fuel flows from where the 4 black caps are pulled over the injector ports in your video, and the fuel comes out at the base of one of the black cap ports, what can I do about it?
Sounds like you need to replace the seal and if you did then it was torn while being installed

You going build alh? Lot junkyard parts to make it "built". Fyi you could've used a 7 or 7.5 mm socket on the security bolt.
My alh has a pd150 intake straight pipe 11mm pump bew lift pump it's gutted diesel geek short shifter and the turbo is half clogged so I can push 26psi of boost out of it
I didn't consider a 6point socket on that bolt but your right it should work
The bottom end is limited to 200hp. Brm piston/rod or Bhw whole block with alh head would make it a stouter engine to make power. That’s with other supporting mods.

I’ve got a project new beetle TDI. I’ve got one of these pumps that sat with biodiesel for a long time and I need to take it apart and clean it.
Have you seen a resource for redoing the front shaft seal using a dial indicator to get everything put back right?
This is a great video by the way. I may just wait till I get one at the junkyard and just reseal it like you did.
Either way should be fun.
@yahjnby I wouldn't replace any other seals except for the ones I did bio diesel thankfully isn't that hard on these pumps but there was a guy that followed me he rebuilt the entire pump did everything perfect and that pump never worked again so unless you take it to a pump specialist I'd only do those 3 seals
