@@Gnash-Gaming It's a cool design, and my wife loves them. These are so useful. I highly recommend you make some. They easily come apart and can be put in a kitchen drawer.
I give away round pieces like that at craft shows. I sand them and write "Tuit" on it. I stop someone and say "does your spouse need motivation? Here." Round Tuits. :)
Oh man, thats a great idea!! The other day, I made a big pot of Marinara sauce and could've used these when I took it off the stove lol. Thanks for showing us how to make them AND for showing us how to fix the cut outs. 👍👍
Great vid. I have a lifetime of scraps lol. Good thing about woodworking and clients is the clients never ask for the scraps and eventually you gather enough to make full projects with. That is red oak btw.
I've never heard of this term "scrap wood" before. I didn't think there was such a thing. It must be that pile of disorganised little pieces of wood I seem to be accumulating in the corner 🤣
I think your place in the trivet upside down. I believe the flat part should be on the kettle. What is the radius on the kettle? If it’s full of hot liquids, it could tip off and spill. Just my thoughts.
Is the bit your using to cut this the Spetool extra long bit in your description? Seems to cut very well. Wonder what feeds and speeds your using and what is your depth of cut? By the way, I'm in KY too. The eastern part in the hills. Enjoy your videos.
Good luck on your UA-cam channel. But to be honest people come to see woodworking that is made the old traditional ways, handcrafted!!! Not CNC machine worked. So I say that this good luck on your channel you get no thumbs up for me and no subscription from me... Really you want to grow your channel do the channel old school and the traditional way of handcrafted what knot's...
But I guess my biggest question is why you’d click on a video that specifically says Onefinity CNC in the title if you’re only interested in old traditional ways?

this is one of the best channels ever for cnc. Thank you for sharing
Wow, thanks! That means a lot.
Glad I am not the only one that misses something and updates a new cut to fix it.
Ha!! Happens more than I care to admit.
White oak! Been yelling it at my screen might as well type it here 😂
Bahahahaaa!!
@@SothpawDesigns love this design for a simple trivet. The KISS method always does more than these complicated designs.

I love scrap wood videos.

Thanks! I ran across it online, and thought it was easy enough to replicate.
Great video! Thanks much for sharing the file!
My pleasure!
Love it! Will definitely make a number of these with scrap I have! Thanks!

It was fun to do

Good idea.
The more I think about your comment, the more I feel like an idiot!! It's so obvious that it was upside down. Good call!
Thank you for your ideas. You sound a little like Dave Canterbury on Dual Survival.
Thanks. I'll take a look!
He's on UA-cam with southwest influences. He also teaches bushcraft survival.

It is. I just use the default speeds as recommended in VCarve, and typically cut only up to 50% of the depth and width of my bit. What county in Ky?
That wood scrap looks like white oak.
That’s what I was thinking
I'm a 66 year old great grandma and I'm just getting my first hobby shop and there's no way I can get a cnc machine 😢
Looks like red oak
I am almost sure it is White Oak.
That seems to be the consensus. I just don't work with white oak often outside of bourbon barrels.
Red Oak
Agreed: oak. Who knows what type
I think it's white oak. Red oak would have a much looser grain.
Its white oak i have a lot of it i sawmill them its hard wood pre drill or the screws will break don't ask how I know.... 😂
I’ve done a little with bourbon barrels. Trust me, I know that!!

I think it’s oak
I think you’re right. Other than bourbon barrels, I’ve not worked with oak much. It’s VERY hard!
I don’t think this is “woodworking” I think is working on wood.
Opinions vary
oak
Figured. I haven't had the chance to work with my oak.

Thanks, I liked the term “neotraditional” that you removed.
