When I get up in the morning and see a story like yours I at 70 years old kick myself for not doing what you have done. Not with the “Man Stand”, but to pursue an idea. So many ideas and no attempts. You on the other hand implemented what so many fail to do and that is: Not being afraid of failure, not worrying about what others thought - you moved forward. What is interesting to me is your attitude is exactly what I thought - in regard to family, friends success, and being blessed. I just retired and was successful I might add, but I admire your drive and attitude. I’m rambling and will finish by saying - “Well Done!” Just remember - it’s easy to get caught up with success and two things come to mind, 1) When placed on a pedestal there is only one way to go, and that is “down” - don’t let folks place you on that pedestal. 2) The toes you step on - on the way up are attached to the ass you’ll kiss on the way down”. I don’t think you’ll have a problem with either as you seem to be well grounded already - probably your parents up bringing. May God continue to Bless you and your family!
I think old people like you should make a living for kicking younger ones to pursue their ideas, cause your kicks wouldn't be nice kicks I guess and the tone and all would be gold to our ears, and I think we need this, old people are put aside and that isn't good, all their knowledge of life is lost.
You are VERY fortunate to have such supportive parents that believed in you even though they thought the product was not viable. No way my parents would have been shipping product at 3am for me. Give them a big hug. Larry
People have to see the success in you before they jump on board. Many businesses fail so a bank won't even give you a business loan until you've been in business for awhile and demonstrated that potential. Seems like the parents here used the same mindset and didn't fully embrace the idea until they saw it taking off.
Well Done! I, myself, after working as a GC for 20+ years, am now haing to reinvent myself. So this inspires me, even at my age (59) and i hope it inspires the younger folks trying to make it. Well done!!

What a beautiful story. I am a career woodworker who made a living building custom furniture. I loved my job, but never made much money. When I retire, I want to build furniture! I really enjoyed your story. You've done what so many only dream of doing.

Man, the way your family dove head first into this w you is absolutely incredible stuff and reminded me a lot of my family. I also love how you barely slid in the aspect of customer service being time consuming. As a biz owner (Especially in the age of the internet review), customer service eats my time up like nothing else. That said, the way a leader in the company responds to customers will tell you a lot. It is by far the best predictor of whether they will be around a long time or not (IMO). Godspeed to you and your family!

Great story. I dabble in woodworking as a side hustle and hope it progresses to enable me to retire early. Your story is very inspiring. I really like that you guys went into detail about the late nights and all hands on deck situations to keep your dream alive. People need to see that it takes sacrifices to build a business and this story showcases that. I’ve told quite a few people to watch this video. Thank you!

Totaly brilliant captivating wonderful story / video. To me it is "Docking station -The Movie". I just LOVE that moment at 12:42 where the docking stations are being flicked thro' really fast to find a particular one of them. This documentary is just wonderful.
This was a great story, Ryan. Your parents have done a fantastic job of raising you and your siblings. Even though they may have thought you were crazy as a fox (yes, I'm showing my age!) they embraced your success and worked hard to make you even more successful! It's also cool to hear you talk about Dale Carnegie. I went to a Dale Carnegie class in 2001 for a retail company I worked for. Remembering a customer's name is something they'll remember, and can translate into continued business. Keep on keepin' on, Ryan.
Ryan so proud of your successes thus far. I remember you as a young teen full of confidence even at that age so glad you have the amazing support team you have backing you. Well done young man
This is an awesome storey... I love seeing people giving it a red hot go with an idea and making it work no matter what other people say. Much respect!
Of course there are those who would say “you didn’t build that!” Like HELL YOU DIDNT! You’re an inspiration my brother. You built (and are building) something very special. Good times and bad you will have the perseverance and tenacity to overcome all the obstacles. Blessings to you and your family Keep yourself focused on the one who created you.
Thank You so much for sharing this story. We are currently at the end of the bell curve with our main selling product of 3 years, (decrease in demand and a massive increase in competition) and now we are trying to figure out what to do next. Your story has inspired me to look for our next winning product. 🙏
My hat is off to you buddy, you deserve it. I'm 52 yrs old and I wish I have done my ideas at your age. Keep riding that wave cause I don't see that wave ending for you!
I'm sure I'm late the party, but this is the best video I have seen in many years. Love the story here, and as a Dad myself I am so proud of this young man!
This was a super awesome and very well put together documentary. A lot of other UA-cam/ DIY’ers will include something like this in a how to video but the fact that you made it separate as it’s own story was fantastic! Bravo to you and to those that helped you build it and helped it grow along the way!
Ryan, interesting documentary. Nice to know a local woodworking who is cranking it out and getting it done. Timing sometimes is everything. Good luck in the future.
What an amazing story! It’s so uplifting to hear of a success story. You are an inspiration to so many young people. I’m 61 and went into business when I was 24. I had such a passion for making it I worked 7 days a week. I didn’t have the same success that you had, but I definitely understand the driving force behind it. May God bless you and guide you in making it all come together. Be sure to protect your greatest investment…the ones who work for you. You’re truly blessed to have a family who supports you. I never had that.
What a great video Ryan. You have totally impressed me which is not easily done. I must be honest when you installed your Onsrud I thought you lost your mind. I had so many cabinet shop friends go out of business during the 2008 years of economic disaster. However I bought a ton of amazing equipment nice and cheap for mine. I never would of guessed Etsy was so lucrative. It looks like all of your hard work is paying off. Being able to include your family is priceless. Your such a great young man with a great family with amazing work ethic.
Hey, Ryan. Excellent story about your "eureka" product. Thanks for sharing and hope your businesses continue to thrive and expand. It think it's great that your family jumped on board to help you succeed. I'm working on a few single product ideas myself and it's great to see others who have been able to be successful in acoomplishing their goals. Have a great day.
Well done. I am a full time woodworker myself. Started part time at 19. Turned full time at 27. I'm 32 now. Super interesting to see what you are doing and how you are doing it. Last year my company did about 500k in gross sales, but the bottom line profit was frustratingly low. Around 75k. I had a large shop, employees, doing everything "in house"... We ended up firing every employee. Restructured everything. We now sub out manufacturing and i also fired all bad customers... Including our biggest customer that counted for half our sales last year. An average work week for me last year was around 70 hours and i was so stressed out. Even had a panic attack late in the year. This year my average work week is about 25 hours. Gross sales are on track to hit 350k but profit looks to be on par for about 125k. And i have sooooo much less stress. Now i feel like i can slowly fill in my work schedule with the right work that will be a blessing to me qnd not suck the life out of me. Im very interested to see how your journey goes!
@@pengy5340 I found a semi local factory in California who i get along with and is willing to cut out parts for me and assemble the cabinets. Then I made another friend at the KBIS show in Las Vegas from Canada called Elias Woodwork who makes all of the painted and stained lumber products. I just had to integrate my cabinet design system with the 2 factories that supply my products. If you cant beat them, then join them. There are many small factories out there that are willing to work with you. They are more efficient than you will ever be because they have already dumped millions into their process... and it will free you up to do what you do best as a business owner- sell things and come up with more ideas.
Impressive. Interesting analogy and a fortunate real-life farming experience. Smart young man. Congratulations to you. Nicely done and good luck on the next one. Thanks for sharing.

15:15 What is also known as imposter syndrome. I think many of us go through this. I know I have and still do. Your family is amazing. Love the fact that you were able to let your dad quit his job.
Rarely watch stories like this, but very glad I saw yours. First off, as a fellow Texan, d@mn proud of you! I LOVED the picture of the red and rust Doberman wearing hearing protection!! Made me really miss mine from the years before I joined the Navy. But also made me laugh at how many times I've heard people say that's a terrible idea when I tell someone an idea of mine that I think might be good. I just always look at them and say "it only takes 1 'pet rock' and who thought that would sell?". And you found yours before you got out of college. CONGRATULATIONS and keep going!!! Oh, and I'll offer this as a combat-wounded disabled veteran (and as an Aggie, you already know this), the military and veteran community would probably be another good market for you. Just sayin'.
Dude that's awesome. Just came across this channel. I'm 7 days a week probably 46 weeks a year. The remaining weeks are maybe 4-5 days. I'm a sole proprietor. I am constantly learning about my trade, and to be quite honest, way too involved in too many areas (landscaping). I'm doing Rennovations, Designs, Mowing, Seeding, Soil Testing and Amendments, Micro Nutrient and similar Apps, Tree Work/Felling/Climbing, Woodwork, Clearing etc... I realized, close to 90 percent of every aspect (outside of physical rest) of my life outside of physical labor these last few years is business related, whether it's speaking to customers, billing, buying, in depth research, power tool repairs and part prices, fixing, organizing or repairing shop/rig, studying plant/soil science and so on.... I continuously get scrutinized for "spending too much time" on milling, curing, rotating, and storing my pieces (as I type, I have about 200 lbs of cherry slabs behind me being weighed down to fix warping. A dozen shelves, various epoxy experiments and display pieces in the same room. Garage, neatly FILLED with cured wood. Outside of front door, outside of firewood, I have about one ton of stage 1 pieces (unmilled/full or half leads). Admittedly, I get distracted a bit too much, but nobody understands the potential. You really caught my attention when you spoke about most of the people in your life, not seeing what you see. Do I expect to be a millionaire from this? No. Will I continuously learn and work until 1 AM getting the very unforgiving mistakes and experiments in? All of the basic idiosyncrasies cf each facet of living tree to finsihed table top, learning the basic techniques while getting word out? Resounding yes. Congratulations on your success. You seem like a really good, humble person. Luck has its station, of course, but this was all you.
Very inspiring .. I too have been a woodworker. I'm trying to rack my brain to come up with an idea. For a product that will take off ...So hats off to you and good luck !!!

Very inspiring story and well deserved success, congrats Ryan. Almost have enough for my own CNC saved up, probably by the end of the summer I'll be in on the CNC bandwagon. 👍
Loved hearing your story and like how you encourage craftspeople to become business people. Could you do a video on the following; 1) how you price your work 2) what are your preferred retail outlets or shopping platforms that you have had the best luck selling your work on. Thanks
Congratulations! I love to see someone go with his dream and become a success. Maybe a little of this was luck, but you worked for this. Even reading How To Influence People is something most people don't do. You looked for resources for success and found them. Amazing.

Well done young man
Now that was beautiful! Every now and again UA-cam recommends a gem and that was one of them. Keep grinding man love your motivation
I appreciate that!
This is an awesome storey...
I love seeing people giving it a red hot go with an idea and making it work no matter what other people say.
Much respect!
This is such a great story, you have such a great family to help. Congrats
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful story! A real family business story,.. loved all of it,... bless you !!
Of course there are those who would say “you didn’t build that!”
Like HELL YOU DIDNT!
You’re an inspiration my brother.
You built (and are building) something very special. Good times and bad you will have the perseverance and tenacity to overcome all the obstacles.
Blessings to you and your family
Keep yourself focused on the one who created you.
I am blown away with your story. Amazing! Congratulations to you and your parents who did you good
Thank you so much!
I appreciate that!
Great story! Blessed to have great family support! Living American dream! Made in USA!!
I'm sure I'm late the party, but this is the best video I have seen in many years. Love the story here, and as a Dad myself I am so proud of this young man!
Thank you!
Congratulations Ryan, you deserve all the success you have.
This was a super awesome and very well put together documentary. A lot of other UA-cam/ DIY’ers will include something like this in a how to video but the fact that you made it separate as it’s own story was fantastic! Bravo to you and to those that helped you build it and helped it grow along the way!
Thank you! 😊
This guy has a great attitude and work ethic and a great supportive family. That and the idea was a good one as well.
Super inspirational. Way to go. You are a good son and entrepreneur.
I appreciate that! My Parents raised me to work my tail off!
Ryan, interesting documentary. Nice to know a local woodworking who is cranking it out and getting it done. Timing sometimes is everything. Good luck in the future.
Thanks 👍
"If you ain't cuttin' it close, you ain't cuttin' it right"......NICE. Keep makin' man!!!
Always!
Whatever about the woodworking you’ve got a wonderful mom and dad 👍
Dude, you are my role model. Always keep that humility. Very well done~
Thank you so much!
This is a most marvellous story well done all of you!
This was wildly inspiring Ryan, thanks for sharing. Love seeing someone so kind and humble see such great success 👏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m so inspired by your story, congratulations on your success🎉Enjoy it with your family!!
Thanks so much!
You got a good heart my friend
Thank you
What an amazing story
Where did you subcontract it out to? Abroad?
What you call luck is just the positive momentum resulting from your inspired, focused path. Take the credit man, it was all you
Ahh he is lucky he has parents that could and were willing to work insane hours help him. Let's not forget his employee.
Amazing. Your first video is what got me into CNC, this one puts it in high resolution. Great story and great result, inspirational.
Impressive. Interesting analogy and a fortunate real-life farming experience. Smart young man. Congratulations to you. Nicely done and good luck on the next one. Thanks for sharing.
Loved this. Loved your point on focusing on what is in front of you. (milking the cow) Thanks for sharing. Great story. Great to see family work and rally together like this.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment.
Great story sir... and you sure have a great family.... a lot of people do not ... probably one of the big reasons you are so successful.... Great stuff!!!
What a great story. Thanks for sharing.
What an amazing story. Very well done. Seems as if that book you read, how to win friends and influence people, which has been given praised millions of times, really helped you during your journey. Congratulations
15:15 What is also known as imposter syndrome. I think many of us go through this. I know I have and still do. Your family is amazing. Love the fact that you were able to let your dad quit his job.
I spend a fair amount of every day in the imposter zone... Yet I have a similar story. No time to make a video yet.
Awesome story. Props for sticking with it!
Great story, Ryan and family! I'm twice your age, but am inspired by your innate skill and drive. Keep on rockin'!
I appreciate that!
What a great story. thanks for sharing a lot of people need to see that the most important thing you can do is "Just Do It"
Rarely watch stories like this, but very glad I saw yours.
Looking forward to following you on your journey -- and learning what's next. Gig 'em!
What an incredible story. Great job young man.
Very inspiring .. I too have been a woodworker. I'm trying to rack my brain to come up with an idea. For a product that will take off ...So hats off to you and good luck !!!
Awesome documentary. I learnt so much and I am grateful.
Awesome! Good for you. I like seeing people building their own empires doing what they love.
What an Amazing Journey you and your family have had!. Really inspiring and it's always nice to see a successful story!. Keep up all the hard work and we'll done for looking after your employees and creating a great working environment. All the best for the future - Kevin from the UK 🇬🇧 👏
Congratulations! What a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it and most of all remaining humble. I started doing word work in a little over a year ago and absolutely love it. I wished I would have started years ago.❤
Wonderful!
Love the story. Even more that your family's involved!!
What an incredible story and video. Thank you very much for posting.
I love hearing a successful story. You’ve worked so hard man and I’m very proud of you just like your parents. You reap what you sow. Well done dude. 😀👌
Thank you, I’m loving this journey, it’s not even close to over yet! Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it
@@cutting-it-close You're welcome my friend. I'm from England.
Great story - impressed with your effort, dedication, and Aggie ingenuity. Gig'em!
Whoop! We do not lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those who do! ‘19
What a great story of family, love, and business. Inspiring
Very inspiring story and well deserved success, congrats Ryan.
Almost have enough for my own CNC saved up, probably by the end of the summer I'll be in on the CNC bandwagon. 👍
Loved hearing your story and like how you encourage craftspeople to become business people.
Could you do a video on the following;
1) how you price your work
2) what are your preferred retail outlets or shopping platforms that you have had the best luck selling your work on.
Thanks
Great idea!
This is an awaone REAL story about getting somewhere. Well done mate!👍
What a cool story, thanks for documenting the success of the family.
Awesome supporting circle! Respect for mom and dad!
Congratulations! I love to see someone go with his dream and become a success. Maybe a little of this was luck, but you worked for this. Even reading How To Influence People is something most people don't do. You looked for resources for success and found them. Amazing.
Fantastic story and great family, or great story and fantastic family. Loved it. Congratulations on your success.
