The Dimboola yard is so dead to compared to what it was like when i was a kid with engine shed, shunting of wagons, Walker Rail Car to Serviceton, wheat trains from Rainbow etc... control of the yard from the signal box which no longer exists...the goods shed where i would go to visit my grandfather Roy Stanistreet who was the Goods Master for Dimboola.. the Railway houses which have been removed or pulled down.. it is just so different
Good chase🙂. Say you filming departure from Horsham, so swung by the station on my way to work. While they certainly served a purpose, I did raise an eyebrow ate the use of ratchet straps🙂
Are you certain this movement is a Steamrail one? The accreditation for the ALARC movements is all under Sydney Rail Services according to the ARTC Waiver's.
SRS dropped the rest off in Goulburn earlier (likely they’ll return in some kind of public service, I have a feeling they’ll be used to bolster the Blue Zephyr’s ex-NSWR stock..

it was shorter than the others and the word 'second' was written in the style used on the old spirit of progress. it may be an ex-victorian car. i saw it written that it was getting gauge converted at dynon for a bg trip to seymour.
Still awesome to see any 700 still running. If only there were a few more 930's.

I was hoping you'd get out and capture this movement! Love the carriage with a heap of ratchet straps on it too!
Terrific train chase, so many locations. Great to see. Cheers

The graffiti is depressing to see. Why wasn’t it removed beforehand?

Absolutely fantastic video, mate. Just one question, any idea what the plan is for the coaches after they've been restored?

Saw them at Goulburn today.
Was it on speed restrictions to Melbourne. The train seemed to be running better after dropping off the last carriage
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
What will be happening to the carriages after restoration in NSW?

Yep that's them. And they went to Albury once too with C501 & C510 on a tour back in 2016

Why was the carriage left in Melbourne?
it was shorter than the others and the word 'second' was written in the style used on the old spirit of progress. it may be an ex-victorian car. i saw it written that it was getting gauge converted at dynon for a bg trip to seymour.
Would someone kindly remove that graffiti on one of the carriages. Disgusting.
