What stuck with me is "Good art is truth and vulnerability" and i will forever remember that when I am creating I have a duty to both truth and vulnerability. damn, that bucket of water quote is really sweet. that resonates with me, being 20, working a 9-5, trying my best to stay afloat and seeing all these horrible things that go on in the world, i DO start to feel apathetic. sometimes even apathetic to the people i love, and the things that should matter. the rest of the stress seems to bring down the value of the few indisputable blessings i have. so dealing with that apathy in a generalized sense, throwing water on the problems of the world when you can, would probably help a lot with keeping in check the way depression creeps in and makes sweet moments sour. the knowledge you do what you can, i guess.

Love him so much and I remember learning about Vince Staples through him many years ago because he complimented him as a lyricist and really said how amazing he was and I realized how next level he is for being able to honor another like that as such a brilliant artist himself.
I truly gained respect for him as a creative knowing that he was in the studio the moment he found out his friend passed and recorded a song with that energy and pain in his heart. That is a true testament to him as an artist.

Everybody has a different perspective of what “success” looks like to them. Some people don’t care about popularity & some only care about popularity. Being a great artist is a combination of being an introvert & staying focused on a craft while also getting your music heard by the world & network & make connections with people. My problem is I used to like being around people but over time I’ve realized nobody treats me how I treat them so I feel the average person doesn’t understand my point of view. This is why I make music for myself & by myself cuz it turns out the way I want it to everytime & it doesn’t cost extra for me to record or make beats myself, depending on the day. The greatest artists have a balance of being social and being introverted sometimes I think your relationship with yourself is what matters the most & the fact that you respect yourself as a creator/ source

Bro when he said "We all got the same resource, which is the world... from how you live your life, to like the music you listening to, I was always too nosy my whole life, I was just always in people's business like that, just like absorbing" I seriously felt that. I feel like Earl and I have very similar brains on some level.
Then he said "It's an attractive thing to me brah, like mastery.. of self. That's what I am the most excited about." Bruh I feel that T-T
How other people are so lazy about themselves, no self-accountability, they no role model behaviors, no striving to be the best self, be the best human you want to be. Like I'm trying! Hard! I criticize myself so hard and analyze myself so hard, I try to improve myself, do better next time. So am I evil for expecting the same out of others? xD

Only a fan of his old stuff, but in a world of sell outs I respect his integrity more than anything. The fact he branched out takes balls; it’s your livelihood, but he opted for what he loved.
Also, before I get flak for saying I don’t like his new stuff, just remember that I’m not saying this out of disrespect. It’d be like if I told you, my favourite colour is blue, when you love the colour red. Pure preference for, but no hate for red.
Same shit for Gambino. I miss his rap, but respect his ventures.

I like his new stuff too if that makes any difference. Cheers for dropping your thoughts.
