You all do a wonderful job with your editing. Many great loop videos drone on and on and become boring, you keep it interesting and hit the highlights, bars and restaurants etc. Our son was Oliver who died in a rafting accident 5 years ago , “ Ollie “ is a great reminder. Another good friend of Oliver’s named his dog “Ollie” too. Safe travels ,enjoy your journey.
So want to say that I think this has to be my favorite video you've made. The cruise, music and Ocracoke epitomized why you'd want to do the loop or just run up and down ICW. Love the confidence gain. And of course tons of Ollie!!!
I’m with you. Ollie is my favorite. She’s so chill and takes over every chair. So hard to watch while I do my blather of work meetings. I so miss Ocracoke. Really torture to watch. But fun torture.
Super video again guys. You are doing so well on docking and undocking, your communication, pre-planning talk and going slow are the important elements that will build your confidence. Ollie, the dolphin protection lookout and 2nd mate on the bridge has a personality of a first rate boat dog. Your food stops and history lessons are spot on. Hugs for Ollie from our family Lady and Angel. Aloha.
I guess the bigger the boat, the more you need headsets so you don't end up yelling at each other. Yall are a great team. I think I'm settling on a Kadey Krogan 48 or 52. Just a dream.
My mother and all of my maternal ancestors are from Carteret County and were there during Black Beard, my 8 times great grandfather was the first lighthouse keeper on Cape Lookout as were many of his descendants. The folklore passed down is all about shipwrecks and fish and boat making. Thanks for sharing your adventure, only been by ferry to the island, but would love to take our 34 PDQ there one day.
It was nice seeing how you all communicate while docking and leaving the dock! Those tacos looked amazing and the UMMM counter was a fun addition! All the Ollie shots put a smile on my face. Another fun video to watch! Safe travels to you all!
I’m so glad y’all went to Ocracoke! My wife and I married there. We’ve been there by car, on our old Sea Ray, and our old trawler. I’m only halfway through your vid and I am so jealous here between teleconferences. Watching your vids is really torture today with the worky work. Ocracoke and Oriental are truly two of the best dog-friendly towns in North Carolina. Y’all have hit the best spots! Plus the eating there is really the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” of Jimmy Buffet lore. Great stop!
on your next trip you should visit bath, where blackbeard lived for a while. the town of washington has plenty of things right near the water as well :)
Great work as always! Okracoke is a special place for my wife and I and it’s cool to see you guys there! There are so many great coastal towns in the Carolinas!
Was just at Ocracoke a couple of weeks ago. We camped at the campground a couple of miles from town and we’re able to ride our bikes into town easily down the paved bike trail along the road. Fun town and Great beaches (the beach is a little to far to walk to from town). Enjoyed the brews at 1718 and learning the history of the area.
What an interesting place that Ocracoke is. I loved what you showed. The history is unreal. Blackbeard 'eh? WOW! It seems like these inlets that lead to harbors and marinas would be so safe, but many seem so dangerous. Rocks, currents, unpredictable winds and on and on. My wife and I can't wait to see your next video. Oh, do you have a Facebook channel? Just curious. Thanks guys....Oh, I loved the "Ummmmms" while eating the fish taco. lol
Love the videos. I went back and watched all of them. We used to live in Jax and much family is still there. Y'all are getting quite adept at your boat handling. Kudos! I've been curious about something for quite a while. Are y'all vegetarian? If so, is it due to budget, or dietary concerns, or healthier eating strategy, or something else? No judgement, just curious.
Thanks George! Yep, we are Vegetarian both for different reasons. For me (Elliot) it's a combination of healthier eating as well as environmental. The budgetary side is only an added benefit 😁
Hey William! This is just how UA-cam suggests our videos, if you watch from a playlist (they are on our channel page), you can make sure you watch in chronological order 😁
Good video. Why does food seem to draw the interest of everyone. Great history and the shoaling that seems to protect the island. And the fish tacos looked awfully good and a good cold beer tops it off. Enjoy
That's another great video for all to watch. Thank you guys 🙂 What make and model is Pivot ? Fair winds and following seas wished from across the pond 🙂 Edit I just checked on your tour of the boat 😁 I just bought myself a Marine Trader 38 Europe . Can't wait to go cruising with it ⚓️🛳
Excellent video. I appreciate each one you two make. Can I ask a personal question? Where are you two from? I guess I'm just curious. Thanks for another fun video.
@@SchoandJo Thank you so much. I was just curious. To be fair, I was born in NYC, and I have lived in Colorado for a little over 25 years now. To be really honest, I have another user name that you might recall.....It's AnytimeRVers. It's an old account of mine, and sometimes I like to use it to knock the dust off of it. lol. You two take care, and stay safe.

Thanks John!
Ollie is LOVING it!
Haha most definitely!!

Thanks guys for another wonderful video and the trip around another new place.
Thanks Kevin!
I enjoyed the beer and tacos part the best. And defiantly the UMMM counter... looks like it was a fun time. All the very best to you 3.
The Ummm counter, was hilarious!
Haha was hard to get "how the tacos were" because there were too many umms haha. But I guess that spoke for itself 😁

haha could be the case... those are beautiful yachts! Their range is truly incredible!

Wow, what a family history - that's super cool. Taking your PDQ there would bring it all full circle!
Thanks for a great video! I've been to the OBX many times, but not to Ocracoke. I will get there though.
A very enjoyable video, well produced and edited.
Thanks Russ, we appreciate it 🤙
Awwwwwwww...... Sweet 🐶 Olie 🐕 smiles !!!!!!! 🙃
😁😁😁
Another masterpiece!!
Tacos looked great!!
They definitely hit the mark 👏
Congratulations on completing your 1st 1,000 miles.
Thanks!! Been a fun 1,000 - the next 1k will be even better!

Thanks so much Suzanne 😊😊
Them's my home waters. Ocracoke, Portsmouth, Drum inlet, on down to Swansboro.
I, for one, really liked seeing your casting off procedure and communication. Love to see more of the practical side of boating the loop.
Sweet - we'll have to show more of that in the future in different situations! Thanks for watching!

Another slow and go wonderful episode, guys. ✨⚓🌊🌴🌞✨
Thanks Richard!

Definitely will have to add that to the list... we need to give the Outer Banks another shot 😁
Love your videos. Ocracoke is one of my favorite destinations. To bad you didn't get bicycles Howards Pub is a landmark.
Can't do it all, gotta save some stuff to come back to 😁 Thanks for the recommendation!
Glad y’all went told you y’all would enjoy that island 🏝
And I said you would love the light house
You were right on 😁
You've been getting some great cruising days lately. The docking and undocking went smoothly....and Ollie knew where his place was supposed to be. :-)
Thanks T Mac!
I remember a wild weekend in Kill Devil Hills/ Kitty Hawk/ Nag's Head, back in the early 70's - almost went to jail that weekend! LOL
Haha…

Nice! Camping and bikes seem like great ways to explore the island!
New to you all just today. You are dekightful! What makes and model is your boat? The wood is beautiful. I like the handles on the ceiling.
Thanks Heather! Our boat is a 34' Marine Trader DC (here is more info about it schoandjo.com/boat-tour-of-our-34-marine-trader-double-cabin/) 😁

A cold beer is great way to end most days on the loop 😁 thanks for watching!
Edwardo's taco stand is fantastic on Ocracoke.
We’ll have to go to his next time 😊 the one we went to was very good too!
I'll have to visit that one too!
So cool!
Thanks Geoffrey!!
@@SchoandJo The teamwork, coordination and loving naturally comes through! It’s a site to see! And you’re dog lovers! Wow!!
That's another great video for all to watch. Thank you guys 🙂
What make and model is Pivot ?
Fair winds and following seas wished from across the pond 🙂
Edit
I just checked on your tour of the boat 😁
I just bought myself a Marine Trader 38 Europe . Can't wait to go cruising with it ⚓️🛳
Congratulations! Hope you have some fantastic cruises with it!
Never heard that SeaTow won't pull you off a 'hard grounding'.
Yep, us neither! I thought it was all just grounding... In any case we'd be calling SeaTow regardless for them to tell us in person 😁
On your way to coin jock there's a place closer to the wright memorial bridge called Mandalay Bay that's a vegetarian restaurant for your way back
Oh cool! Thanks for letting us know!
It's nice you can drive right up to it
Did you follow the ferry into Silver Lake ?
Nope! Just our charts 🤙
We came in through a different channel, not the one the ferry operators use for the entire way until we merged into the same entrance
Excellent video. I appreciate each one you two make. Can I ask a personal question? Where are you two from? I guess I'm just curious. Thanks for another fun video.
Thanks! Jen is from Long Island, NY and I'm from just south of Jacksonville, Florida - cheers!

I’m shopping around for boat insurance. I was wondering if you could comment on your policy?
Thanks
We have Geico Boat Insurance and it seems to work fine - haven't had to file any claims yet.
ummmmm good video
Thanks Bill 😂
Hi guys.
Hey Greg!
There aren't any rocks on the coastline.
👍
