I have the exact same outboard and the primary jet in the carb is apparently plugged. How did you remove the bowl? I could remove the bowl nut and drain the fuel out of it but the access hole was too small or the bowl to be removed. I need to remove the bowl in order to get to the main jet to clean it. I can get the engine to start on the first pull with full choke but if I open the choke at all, it dies at any rpm.
@@tylerott9269 Thanks. I found a parts list that showed how to remove the fan cover which is the complete bottom of the case and then the carb was easy to remove and repair.

It’s been a long time since I worked on this, but your going to have to remove the carb. I think I pulled off the gas tank and shroud to do it.
