40+ Year Old Flying Test Bed! Honeywell Boeing 757-200 action in Ottawa (YOW/CYOW)

So glad to see Honeywell's 757 again... its been to long! Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney are the only flying test bed aircraft I have seen... wouldn't mind expanding that list ;) this 757 looks fantastic for her age - so glad she will keep flying for many more years.
Honeywell Aerospace operates this sole Boeing 757-200 as a test bed
for testing various products of theirs.This is a very highly modified 757, which includes a large pylon for inflight engine testing. The aircraft is also used for testing a wide range of testing which includes testing avionics, safety and communications.
The aircraft arrived from Europe a few days prior. While in Ottawa it performed a 1 hour test flight and then departed to Baltimore. It is a bit unclear what exactly the aircraft was testing however it does appear they were working with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and testing "gas turbine engines". I do not have further details on this...
This specific 757 (N757HW) is over 40 years old making it one of the oldest active 757's in the world! The 757 joined Honeywell's fleet in 2005 where it received its modification.
It was noted in 2023 that this 757 is the 3rd oldest active 757 in the world...
