So excited to hear you are coming back. Since you've been gone, I've started my aviation journey. I am endlessly thankful for your motivational videos and look forward to your return.
Wooh! I fly exclusively united for work, and every time I’m on a 757 or 767 I’m always looking for you in the cockpit. I fly DEN IAD a lot. You ever on that route?
With a bit over 1000 deliveries it got its fair share of market. Still is widely used by Delta in America and by United for transatlantic routes. Can be modifies for cargo, serving for FedEx and UPS until there are literally no more spare parts being manufactures. Plane spotters love. Given that the aircraft is a bit niche, I wouldn’t say it is underrated. A321ceo has more sells, but it is noticeably cheaper to operate.
This was my goal and dream growing up. However, times were different then. Much more competitive back in the 80s. No pilot shortage and the industry was smaller than today and was peppered with ex military pilots. I am fortunate to have been able to own a Cessna 172 and a Piper Comanche with a couple of great partners. At 63, now I only live vicariously through videos like this. Good job Swayne.
As a former airline pilot who became very fortunate with a side business that made me a millionaire many times over, I have enjoyed your videos over the years immensely. I told your CEO last Wednesday (friend) how impressed I am with you. Rich
Thanks for coming back to UA-cam. You have inspired me alot and im currently planning to fulfill my childhood dream of being a pilot. By God's grace, i should be coming over to the USA to start pilot training before this year runs out. I'm in talks with some flight schools already. I hope one day we can both share the same cockpit as flying for united is my ultimate goal. With much love from Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬
Dude, you have made my day. I was beyond excited to see this video! You have been missed. Congratulations on the changes over the past year! I hope you guys are loving San Francisco. I am already looking forward to your next post. 😃
Im about to start flight training but I keep losing motivation to do it because how complicated it is, being honest watching your videos gives me something to look up to and brings that motivation back, Thank You 🤙🏼
Last time I watched one of your videos I was in the military looking from the outside in trying to figure out my options. Now I'm a half winger. Thanks for your informative videos!
From the simplicity of the things your explaining, to the outstanding editing. This was an amazing video and super helpful for a flight student like me. I look up to you as another instructor and want you to keep up the good work man. Much love from Atlanta ❤️🛫
Your back. Guessing you must had to concentrate on the aircraft types, training and flying hours for the rating. So glad to see you back I did wonder what had happened.
Wanted to become a pilot at a young age, then in 2022 i came across you on UA-cam and was motivated even more when i started watching your videos. I made sure to always work hard on my grades so i can become a pilot but then 1 year ago when you stopped posting videos my motivation kept getting lower, got lost and didn't know what to do anymore, but when i saw this video it brought back my spirit and motivation so im grateful and excited that your back and will be posting more videos 😊
I flew through Shannon Ireland a few times going back and forth to the middle east with the Army, the last time we ended up having to overnight in Shannon. Such a gorgeous area and the inn we stayed in had a pub attached from the 1700's
i want to say thank you. ive been watching these videos since i was 14. they have always inspired me and now i can say that im achieving my dream of becoming an airline pilot.
We are all Proud of you! 30 years ago you’d have to sit sidewall on a 72 for 5 years and progress to F/O, and maybe Cpt. by 20 years. You nailed the training and hiring at the right time. We all enjoy the videos. Especially for those of us out of the industry for years now.
I got a few questions for you 1. Where in the US is the best place to train to be be a pilot 2. What’s the best flight school for fast track to being an airline pilot. 3. What are the best flight school courses 4. What is the appropriate fees
Emory Riddle is the best college aviation program. They have an Arizona and Florida campus. Probably for regular not college training Florida or Arizona would be nice considering they don’t get snow.
@@Toby-e1e Embry-Riddle in Prescott, AZ is far enough north that they do have "four-season flying" through the year. Daytona Beach, FL ... not so much all the seasons, but you can get more of the semi-tropical environment experience there
Swaine went to NDSU in Fargo which is still ranked one of the best. There are other college programs out there as well such as Baylor Univ here in Texas.
Welcome back! Your videos are helping recruit the next generation of skilled pilots while showing the rewards of all the hard work you have put in. Please continue to share your adventures when you have time.
I”ve flown to all those places on your schedule. I have a particular love for the folks at Shannon. They were the best people to turn aircraft. Rain, snow, ice they took care of you and the runway was always good. Their hospitality was unmatched.
Again thank you for sharing your cool career. Yes, I now and remember how it feels in holding your travel work schedules!😊 Yes, years ago, at first, as a Flight Attendant, I use to bid Hawaii first, London second on the international trips. Then on domestic trips, I use to bid Los Angeles first San Francisco second and San Diego third. Then when I took and passed the Purser Leadership Program back then, I became a junior purser flight attendent and started to hold my work schedules on an A/B rotation. Holding a work schedule or "line" one month and the next month not holding a line. I think for me by the end of the 3rd year going into the 4th year, I could finally hold more flight schedules that I would bid for. So, holdibg west coast from here in Chicago is what I hold and liked. Overall, I agree with you similar to pilots, it feels good holding your own work schedule and it helps as you become more senior with each year of seniority.😊
Welcome back Swayne. Been bing watching your older videos in the meantime. Your videos left me wondering when I can back in the air as I have been “grounded” due to more work responsibilities and not having the energy to do what I love to do.
It was great to see a video from you. Welcome to San Francisco. I have enjoyed seeing your Instagram pictures of you and Sam around SF. You are always so informative in your u tube videos.
So happy to see you back. I just recently flew again from Hartford, Ct to Dallas Fort Worth. I am not a fan of flying, but watching your videos gives me comfort. Seeing what goes in to flying and the care the Staff takes, really gave me piece. Thank you for sharing, and Welcome Back. You should do a Colab with Sam comparing side by side a Commercial Plane and one Decked out for the Military.
I follow quite a few of Airline Pilot youtubers and I've heard of them mentioning about seniority and benefits of it. However, no one wen in depth like you did. Thank you for this. It was a very informative video.
Hi Mr. Martin! Good to see another well-produced video from you. I started following you before you even started with that small Hawaiian airline. What a journey! Seems you've made some great career choices to get where you are. To me, working out that schedule is more complex than any jet could be! Can't wait to see how your path goes from here!
Congratulations on holding your line. I'm sure you're enjoying driving the Ferrari of the skies, 757. Those RB211's will get you out of any trouble. Former UAL ramp, DEN 90's. Cheers!
It is really good to have you back. Glad you took some time for yourself which we all need to do at some point. Your videos are very motivational and encouraging, especially for me who always wanted to be an airline pilot but chose law enforcement to get the money for flight school first. Now being a pilot is going to be my career 2.0. All of your videos has helped to keep the passion alive. So please continue making videos when you can. Best of wishes as you continue to excel in your aviation career.
I trained on the 757/67 in 2021 at the United Airlines Training centre in Denver. A most satisfying experience worth the hard work! Am just sad I haven't yet flown the real jet. Nice to indulge in your wonderful stories Wayne. Keep it up!
Great to see you back with another brilliant video. You do a great job with them. Congratulations on your position. Hope you enjoyed Dublin which is where I’m from, but now live in Western Australia.
Excited to be back with all of you making videos after a little over a year! So, what should I film next?
Why did you stop making videos for so long? You’re my favorite aviation UA-camr and inspired me to try to become a pilot.
@@Toby-e1eI touch on that in the video + a little note is in the video description :)

When I saw this on my for you page, it brought me to tears that you came back. We missed you so much.
Frr😢
Brought you to tears? Lol. WTF
75’s…the most underrated plane in the sky.
Gonna be a sad day when they're gone.
Passengers don’t like the 757, because it is a tight long tube on rather long trips with tiny windows and noisy cabin.😡😡😡
