It's awesome you made this. This condition took away my dream of a piano career eight years ago, and I still haven't found my footing in life since. More people absolutely need to know about it, since it seems like nobody who doesn't have it has heard of it, so unless I can find a window to explain it, people just think I'm nervous in normal situations, which is obviously frustrating and insulting. It's also insane to me that there is still no proper treatment for it. Either take prescriptions that barely work, weren't even made for the condition, and have debilitating side effects for the rest of your life, or get a machine implanted in your brain that also barely works! Laughable. Until there's a solution, I'll never stop being bitter about it. If I do, people will think it's no big deal.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m deeply sorry about its impact on your dream especially when effective treatments to ET are so limited. I hope a film like this would raise some awareness because it’s crucial to finding a proper cure. Your voice has been important and I hope people who’ll watch this film will see your story. Thank you for your feedback and being so open about your experience. My heart goes out to you.
I still remember the day I put down my cello bow after 23 years. I had no bow control left to play at the level I was accustomed to. People ask me why I don't play anymore. They don't get it. They don't understand the years of practicing hours a day, watching all that hard work, just...gone. It's been at least a decade since I've played, but I can't bring myself to sell my cello. It would be the final nail in the coffin. I understand your bitterness, my own eats at me as the condition progresses.
This is a good short film and true, Jasper. Good luck with it and I hope you continue to produce films with success. It is important to inform people about Essential Tremor.

Thank you for making this movie. We're so misunderstood.
Someone is chopping onions I swear. Diagnosed as an adult but I don't think I could explain it any better. Beautiful.
Sincere, and sweet, and real, and… thank you, Jasper
