I just put my wide maxx kit on it is sick. Sorry Arrma 😞you just went in the wrong direction and it wasn't even your falt the xmaxx just got a little more sure footed lol. Sooo smooth with new springs. Love it
Very cool video I got the XMAXX for Christmas mines green iam gonna go with the black XMAXX widemaxx upgrade kit, you said it handles better it definitely look like it handle better I trust your opinion, I seen someone with the green widebmaxx kit its just too much of the one color. Like yours looks sick with the black kit if you were to get the orange it would of look ok but the black kit is the way to go thanks your new friend and viewer william from NJ Forgettaboutit 👍
Yea I think I’m gonna do that for sure and try those out too. I’ve never had a drive cup break off at the spline line that and I wasn’t really driving it as hard as normal
Idk I have not tried the vitavon drive cups yet. These are some super cheap ones I seen on eBay and alibaba. If you search xmaxx diff cups you’ll see tons on eBay. You get like 2 for 15 iirc
Well no they don’t…if you watch the video the cup broke off from the spline. Wfos cup ring prevents the cup from opening and breaking off the ear. I have the rings but I took them off bc as the diff cup wears it will get the cv axle stuck in between the ring and the worn edge causing the axle to break
@@Hittin2thabass oh okay. I only suggested them because you said in the video you had the eBay ones on the truck and that’s what broke. I was trying to give a solution for stock cups. I didn’t know you still had a issue with them breaking in the same spot. I think vitavon makes actual drive cups. I know they’re good for other things they make maybe those are worth a shot?
Well the stock cups do just fine actually I was just buying parts awhile back and I kept seeing those cheaper ones so I just decided to buy them to see. They wear quicker than the stock Traxxas ones tbh. But yea the wfo rings do help out with the diff cups opening or spreading open
I got on traxxas live chat support and told them they needed to make the wide kit for the xmaxx I forget what the guys name was maybe mike or Matt said he would bring it to the engineering department , I said if you guys make it it will sell ,,
@@Hittin2thabass Hi, your X-Maxx flies and I see your gearing is 23-33? what do you mean when you say Mod 1.5? Thanks, and thanks for the vid. I cam for the Widemaxx Kit and left wanting to know how yours is so quick. Be well mate.
@@Hittin2thabass Ah ok nice thanks. Since I asked you I went off and took a look around. It looks like the gears are much wider as well as in diameter in certain circumstances. What's the difference in doing this over just using the regular style gears with appropriate ratios? Is it just a matter of wear and their ability to take a beating due to their oversized nature? I do understand that a bigger pinion, especially one like that would add strain to the motor due to increased torque and that would explain your fans. I guess it's a trade off to some point?
Yea I agree the xmaxx is very stable in the stock format but the wide kit makes it alot more stable. Trust me it’s a lot better. I promise if it was the same as stock I would’ve put the stock stuff back on. But it is honestly more stable and the wide kit comes with the HD arms so it’s a win win imo

Yes I’m using some other springs but I wanna try the ones that come with tomorrow
I love those long sideways slides. That is what I do in my AWD real car in the winter.
Awesome rip with the new setup Bro. Sure does tame her down a bit in the corners. Great vid 👊
Yes it really does and will slide vs flip over. Makes it’s super fun

Well if you go on the Traxxas website you can buy all the single arms so if you wanna do multi color you can. It’s the same price as buying the kit
Perfect area for an xmaxx
Thanks I have a good bit of area to run on
Nice yard man ! Great spot. Living good right there. Like the vids.
Thanks bud it does end up being a nice area to run
orange looks sweet
Oh thanks and yea I like the orange too. The new body I have is the solar flare which looks good too imo
Awesome wide Xmaxx my dude!💯⚡ Subbed👍
Oh cool thanks
Great run brother. More stable for sure. Try vitavon Cups much bigger and stronger.
Yea I think I’m gonna do that for sure and try those out too. I’ve never had a drive cup break off at the spline line that and I wasn’t really driving it as hard as normal
@@Hittin2thabass I've been splitting cups left and right lol 🤣. Just got them vitavon installed. Should be better.
I’ve actually never split a stock one they just get worn after a while
vitavon diff cups any good ? you getting maxx v2 ? think i'm just gonna buy the parts and body to make mine longer.

@@Hittin2thabass 10 4. good to see ya back on here.
Wfo and b&m make drive cup rings that prevent them from breaking like you talked about
Wfo don’t make drive cups and neither does b&m
@@Hittin2thabass correct but they both make metal rings that slide on the cups that you loctite on there and it prevents the cups from breaking

Oh…uh ok
I was hoping they'd do this. Is it worth the $?
Oh well worth it especially since it’s everything you need and the updated HD arms
Did you do anything to the diff? Almost seemed like it had a locked rear diff
I just fill the diffs up with the 50k weight that’s in…bc they come just about dry. I do the same to the front and it locks it up more that stock
Very nice indeed. Yours is a beast. Just ordered the same fans. Nice to see someone using them. What gears are you running?
Yea these fans are super nice and I have mine ran off my receiver as well and it’s tons of air. For gearing I’m running WFO 23-33 mod 1.5

@@basementracer mod 1.5 is the pitch of the gears and they are bigger gears to take more power. Yea it’s super quick and about to be faster

Yea pretty much. The mod 1.5 gears have larger teeth so they can take a lot more abuse
the kit itself makes the xmaxx look very nice but is it worth the whopping 200?
Yes bc it has the HD arms in the kit that’s $100 right there. Then it had 4 new cv shafts and 4 springs
