I took my widemaxx kit off after 5-6 packs. For some reason it made my xmaxx jump like shit. Always wanted turn sideways in the air 🤷♂️. It was a ton of fun to slide that thing around when it was wide tho.
What shock oil and springs were you running on this car? I think Traxxas widemaxx kit for the x-maxx came with to soft of springs. I have stiffer springs and 50 weight oil currently on my car.
By any chance, are you making any video with the Xmaxx Ultimate? I really liked this one and just watched the Kraton 6s EXB, awesome car as well. I would love to watch a review of the Ultimate made by you.
I've actually had no problems using the self writing and actually love it. I also went to mod 1.5 Gpm gears and they last forever.. the key is not to make the truck super-heavy. Keep it as light as possible. Only upgrade things like the Hub carriers the ESC fan with the Protek 2113 fan.. also another good set of tires is the sledgehammers. More aggressive a little bit heavier but less ripping in the sidewall.
Just can't believe how many you tuber broke there's car or truck right out of the box , and they are crying like a baby ! DAM ! when you spend over a thousand box and you rip all of the parts in a couples minutes ! it's stupid that's it ! Nice video my friend ! I hope this video will make some people's thinks !
My man, front tires should always have a slight tow out of not perfectly straight, definitely not tow in. You do want tow in on the rear but not the front
Did you upgrade the fan in the ESC?? Also you added more weight and a higher speed gear? That's not something I would do as you will overheat the ESC and motor. Those tires are way too heavy and they have no sidewall compression which is pretty much like driving on cinder blocks. What you basically showing everybody is a good way to throw away $1,000. The best thing you can do for an x-maxx is to keep it mostly stock upgrade ESC fan don't go any higher than 20/50 gears and even better for better gears go to GPM mod 1.5 13/31 gear set and they will last forever and only cost like $40 on Ebay. Better tires would be the arrma outcast 8s backflip tires and they are way cheaper than the proline tires and lighter. Anyone listening to this guy is getting ripped off! Watch people like Rich duperBash, Kevin talbot, or thunder rc. These guys no what there talking about. The only thing this guy is a professional at is ripping people off!
Just put on xrt tires, that alone has improved turning, as in less roll overs turning on short grass. Lowest brakes possible for me, never ever used up righting? Dumbest thing ever invented .
Yes. True. Brakes at 95%. Never use flip function and it destroys the transmission in real time. Also note using flip function even once puts cars brakes to 100%. Avoid at all costs

Another well sorted car and helpful commentary. Thank you PFRC.
Glad you enjoyed ;-)
Thankful for the guidance you bring kind sir... More power to you 👍
The net or shroud against dirt made my Xmaxx electronics hotter then without the shroud/net
Yes. Hot weather over 80 you take off your net.

Hi. I have a Traxxas sledge. I want to drop a Torox 185 A esc in it and keep my stock motor. Can I pull this off? Can you do it if I bring her in?
Yes. It will work. Yes. You can bring it in.
When I first saw the self - righting function I said "not good"

Comment.....You mind coming to my house to rough up the dirt in my garden so I can do my spring planting...?
I got about $2000 in my xrt and haven't even touch the motor or esc yet.. it'll be close to $3000 when I'm done
That traxxas battery is FARRRRRRR from being the biggest lipo that'll fit nicely (without modification) in the Xmaxx.
True! i have a 8500mAh in mine. Without modification of the batt tray
@@michielpoortvliet3003 The HRB 9500 fit perfect as well
Whats ur setup?
@michielpoortvliet3003 Who's setup??
Yours, sorry for not mentioning. Motor, gears, esc etc
Wheel and tire combo way too heavy
22/50 is definitely overheating the motor without much bigger fans
@@B-Man90 220f is motor destroying temps. 170 is the maximum allowed safe temp.
I’m running 19/46 in mine. Might need to hear it back down some.
@@B-Man90 i went from a 19/54 to 19/46 and it made a huge difference.
@@B-Man90 ok thx for the advice. Just installed the widemaxx kit today, should I gear it down due to more strain on the bulk heads/motor?
Actually it doesn't. Lol mine stays around 140f with it 100f outside
Perfect setup but still has full traxxas electronics? IDK man… it seems really far from perfect…

I destroyed a pinion and spur using the self-right button in grass. Never again!
Forward and break that's all I ever run my RC cars on. I never reverse either. I love to walk
Only person to recomend the horrible badlands lmfao
