This is why dogmeat is the best companion ever. Even though he made me feel really bad when I was getting the nuka world trophies just by being so happy to be with me regardless of how evil i was being.

ADA has quickly become one of my favorite companions because not only does she not constantly talk trash every time I pick up something, but she actively encourages it. That energy is exactly what I need in my life
And she can hold a ton of stuff, and she you can customize her weapons, and she DOESNT object to your warcrimes!
AND there's big thiddy anime robot maid mods.

I had her and Heather (mod) with me to Greenetech Genetics. It was at least the second attempt.
I went down to the ground floor to reprogram the turrets, when she decided to leave. She was fresh out of Diamond City, so I just backed out having her returning there.
I didn’t bother checking back on her. Heather doesn’t like her anyway.
Screw Piper, Mayor Macready's the one. He doesn't care what you do so long as you don't screw yourself over. He even dislikes it when you give away the serum to save that vault kid from the mole rat disease! lol I love Macready.
For me it's the opposite. Piper is the one I gel with but god forbid you help someone without taking something in return next to Cait.

This is pretty damn accurate to fallout 4 and how confusing some of the companions likes and dislikes are even for some of the most mundane and small shit. Like Strong, hates lock picking and power armor and you being a nice guy but he also likes when you help settlements, like wtf.
He likes you helping settlements because he gets to see the "milk of human kindness" in action.
@@Zadenae Fair point. But then why does he hate me doing any other kindness. I could also be misremembering because it's been a while since I played fallout 4 and even longer since I ever had Strong as a companion.
The follower Curie is a robot that gets a human body yet somehow supports the brotherhood of steel. They'd kill her for basically being a synth with extra steps.
@@catstats9810 Well Curie is a pre-war artificial intelligence. That's the kind of tech the Brotherhood likes, they'd gladly take her. They just don't want other people creating new tech or getting ahold of tech that could seriously affect the world for the worse again, i.e. nukes or EMP weapons. The synths made by the institute aren't trusted because they've been known to kill a lot of people. So unlike the railroad, who can differentiate that some synths aren't as aligned with the institute as everyone thinks, the brotherhood just sees advanced robots being controlled and injected into society by a borderline sadistic group of intellectuals. No, not everyone in the institute is bad, and they genuinely are one of the best bets the world has to recover, but much like the BoS faction in Hidden Valley, they've become isolated for too long, and are out of touch with the Commonwealth. Couple that with some less than benevolent leadership, and the Institute is just a bunch of "The Mechanist" people with prettier bots, a suped up Think Tank that had more resources but still could not fathom changes outside their "controlled" experimentation
The BoS doesn't think they've shown themselves to be anything but openly hostile to the people of the Commonwealth, which is.. largely true, and therefore they despise synths. There may be discussion about how they look so similar to humans, but aside from general mistrust about mimicking appearances, the BoS really only cares because the synths are examples of such powerful tech that the ones responsible could take over or destroy the world. If someone in the wasteland was say, making clay golems animate through some unknown means, and the BoS came into contact with them, they would have basically no interest because it wouldn't be technology. They would just tell people to stay away and go about their business. Curie has been transferred into a body, and besides the Brotherhood not being made aware of the switch, Curie was seen as a Ms. Handy, so even if someone was able to work out what happened, they would know that she was a pre-war intelligence, she wasn't designed by someone specifically to infiltrate their society and replace people with more synths like her. There's a reason the BoS are going after the Institute the way they are, and that's how they're using tech, not just that they have it. They want to be aware, yes, but they aren't moving their airship headquarters just to keep an eye on something, when they come to the Commonwealth they've already decided the Institute is not using their power properly

The best companion in 4 for doing this is Cait. According to her, she absolutely hates raiders, and slavers. But, if you do the Nukaworld DLC in your undies, and she's the companion. Her affinity sky rockets before you can even finish the raider storyline. Lol
I just imagine the Sole Survivor taking off their shirt whenever Cait has an objection to something and she just immediately goes slackjawed quiet.

If the game still had strength checks and opening doors with explosives, it would definitely make more sense that he hates lock picking.
I just eat a bunch of corpses, max out affinity, and then send him to some BFE settlement where I never have to look at him again.

This is why I love Dogmeat, A reliable friend compatible with the Lone Wanderer perk. Much better than constantly having a Jiminy Cricket constantly judging me.
That’s the thing with animal companions. They don’t judge, they love unconditionally, and they’ll always be loyal to you and you only.
They should put a cat companion in.
You only see it when it's hungry or cold, and it either dislikes or ignores everything you do.
But what sucks is no companion perks
Play fallout 3 and start shooting Dogmeat and tell me how that works out for you.

true, lone wanderer and dogmeat, but if I feel like a companion, I grab Macready or Deacon. They're the two who have personalities I can stand to be around.
Ada is a must for survival mode since you can customize her to heal you outside of battle, can have a huge carry capacity, & doesn't care what alignment you fall under so you can be as evil or good as you want to be.
I like how even the traders and quest givers are either so confused or tired of the companions shit at the end.
I've watched this 3 times now and my favorite part is always how the NPCs are also like "wtf is wrong with him?".
This is how I feel about Strong, he’s the only one I have a hard time getting to like me. I’ve spent 7 years trying and failing, and my mom calls me one day “Strong is so easy to become best friends with, I did it without even trying”
When you try to help people in the commonwealth but forgot you have literally anyone else following you except Dogmeat, Nick, Codsworth, or Ada.
I want Bart as my companion.

This video is very accurate 😂. I always play as a heroic character so I don’t really take McCready, Cait, Strong, and X6-88 with me when I play the main story. McCready and Cait have awesome stories but it’s really annoying because they hate everything I do. It’s really easy to increase the affinity for the other companions. The main 3 companions I stick to the most is Piper, Nick, and dog meat.
Can't STAND Piper lol. Dogmeat is the best though, and Nick's good, you gotta take Nick to Far Harbour.
Hate piper I do as well as love for her but stop forcing me to do a stupid interview for newspaper in the wasteland and stop calling me blue I'm not even wearing the shitty vault suit only a pip-boy and others wear them as well not from a vault

i got around this by installing a mod that removes all negative reactions lol now i can do whatever and the companions always love me :D
