Jerry your videos are of amazing help. We have had our Trophy (UK), for a month now. Really pleased with it. One question. As you say, if you take your foot off the gas the accelerator, the vehicle slows down, particularly in one pedal mode. Do the brake lights come on to indicate to a vehicle behind you that the car is slowing down?

One thing I am wondering is: which setting (if any) will have the car stop in traffic and then go again? For example: with One Pedal on, at a traffic light the car stops but does not start again when the car in front goes until I press the accelerator.
Thanks for the support. It only automatically resumes under ACC / TJA if you use the MG Pilot features. Under One Pedal mode, you need to control the driving on your own.

They don't tell you the latest version. Most people will not need to do every update as updates will mostly only be minor bug-fixing. The MG4 over the air update thingy is still not straight answer as far as I know.
Hi Jerry, I need your help with my MG4. My car was in my driveway in reverse gear to garage. There was another car was approaching on the road in front of my garage. But I don't know why, or what reason that make my MG stops. I had to press accelerate to make car moves. Could you plz explain why and how do I overcome this situation next time. TY
Question: when I do preferred settings on Custom mode, my mg4 only keeps it for that current drive. Once I turn off and get back in, I have to redo those preferences on custom mode. Does it not save these settings??
I find I cannot release the parking brake without pressing the black "P" button with my foot on the footbrake. How come he says you don't need to touch that button at all?
Can somebody help me out please. I just got my mg4. I have an issue. The car drives itself in reverse and drive without pressing the pedal. How do I turn that off ?
but next time you turn on the car, it has fogotten what tit was set to. its wired like it has a default each time that called "Normal" and "regen 3", but why i want my MG4 to boot up in "ECO" with adaptic regen activ. its so stupied it dosnt remember..

Thanks Jerry! My 51 doesn’t have OPD and is on the latest software (R05), my dealer has no idea what I’m even talking about!
Now it is time for them to do a proper update for it :D
OPD is only available on Model Year 2023 cars. If your car doesn't have a rear wiper it is an Model Year 2022 and will not have OPD

Hi Jeery, it is possible to switch to N mode while driving so that the vehicle glides down the hill
It is possible but this is not recommended. This may harm the transmission on traditional ICE cars but I'm not sure if that is the case for EV.

"Does the MG4 coast when the brake pedal is released? Does regenerative braking only activate when the brake pedal is pressed? Other way is neutral ?
Regen brake will activate once you release the accelerator & the brake force is changeable between low to high to adaptive.
Why does the MG ZS EV not carry the Hill Descent button?. Why is that switch blanked off in the MG ZS EV?. Thanks

No, it doesn’t.
What is the default setting for auto hold
For NZ & AU version, it will memorise whatever you set last time.

All MG EVs are like that. Handbrake gets released automatically.
