    • @user-fc9iq6le2g
      @user-fc9iq6le2g 9 місяців тому

      Thats just stupid..........silence is silence...........there is no music if there is nothing but silence. Its called taking a breathe. It does not define music, it gives it color/emotion.
      Mozart is stupid......its ego talking. Like saying "oh, i reach the outer most cosmos and reach the notes from there"
      Dude.....its called drugs........and honestly......its pretty much how almost all the greatest of music came to be. Music was better when people were getting high.

    4:52 Unfortunately there is a mistake in the video 😂: if you play 1/64th notes with 30 bpm 4/4 time, you will play 8 notes per second, not 10. However if you increase the speed to 112.5 bpm, you will play 30 notes per second, so that's ok.
    Or in other words: The brain must keep up with the speed of the fingers, which might become difficult under certain conditions 🥴.

    You should listen to a guy called Matteo Mancuso.
    He has a very distinctive right hand tecnique (some sort of fingerpicking, no pick) that he uses in different genres: hard rock, prog, fusion, jazz, blues, classical, etc. He can shred, even if he does not define himself as a shredder.
    But, most of all, he is very musical and a very nice guy.

    I've tried that Paul Gilbert thing of putting picks onto a cordless drill, and it know that I couldn't put it in the highest speed or I'd break the strings, so I checked how many rpm I could safely use on the drill before doing some damage, and even using the drill I max out at around 34 notes per second. Getting 30 without assistance is mind bowling.

    So the challenge is playing this specific scale up and down like they do it in the video? Or is the challenge playing 30 notes/second in ANY way possible?? Because theoretically by just doing tremolo picking (aka: BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) or tapping with the edge of your pick (like Joe Satriani e.g.), you can play faster than that... What is the actual speed record? The important part is what are the constraints? What type of playing?

    • @GuitarMAXMusic
      @GuitarMAXMusic  9 місяців тому +1

      I think even tremolo picking at this speed is much harder than it seems. But for a challenge, I say any scale run where you play at this speed, for at least 1 full second (so a minimum of 30 notes total) would qualify.

    Fast is great when you can actually do it. Start slow. Make sure it fits your hand size and know the shape/notes and consult you doctor. Speed is cool and slow is just as cool. 🎸

    16th notes at 60 is 4 notes per second, so ... 128th notes at 60, or 64th notes at 120, or 32nd notes at 240, or 16th notes at 480 BPM is 32 notes per second. They start to play 64th notes at 70 BPM and go up.

    sub 30ms is considered "real time" for most applications. meaning its nearly impossible for humans to detect the separation. Get any faster and the percussive element of the note is going to start defining the musical frequency! Pretty insane.

    A fart is the continuous sound of your ass cheeks clapping at well over 30 claps per second.
    Perhaps he considers bass notes the same?

    12-14 notes per second is pretty fast. 15-16 is ridiculously fast. 30 nps is insane. To put it in simple perspective, you have to play sextuplets at 300 bpm.

    Back in th day Chris Impeletterri was said to be playing 36 notes per second..I asked a local guitar teacher if that was possible...6 notes per string so if you can do a scale run 3 notes per string up and back down you did it

    • @GuitarMAXMusic
      @GuitarMAXMusic  9 місяців тому +1

      Sure that gives you 36 notes, but you have to play all those notes in 1 second!

    Hi Max, I am actually a pianist and managed to play 28 notes per second, and spent like 5 minutes of practicing on this. It does not mean I am an extreme virtuoso, but it seems this speed in not that unreachable, at least on my instrument. If you are interested I can easily post a video how I do it
