    Nice product. Three questions:
    1. It appears that you intend for customers to buy as many individual pieces as necessary to fit their *length* requirements. Is that correct, and is there a structural length limitation to the number of floats that can be connected together?
    2. Do you have a branch office that manufactures and distributes these in North America?
    3. If "no" to # 2 above, is it feasible to ship your floats, etc. internationally? I'm not asking whether they would fit in a shipping container. I'm asking whether it would make the price of the floats so expensive that it would make no sense to ship it.

Yes we sell the individual to the amount you need. We can quote you freight. The Australian dollar is quite low at the moment which helps off set delivery price.

@@MarineDockSystems Thanks for the quick reply, but it seems like you passed up a good chance to give three well-written, informative answers to three good questions. For people who want to sell products, it's good to remember that I'm not the only one reading the answers.

      1. Yes we sell individually to make up the length you want. You can make any length or width.
      2. No we don't currently have a distributor in North America. We can ship from Australia. please provide your location and qty so we can quote.
      3. We can ship internationally. Depending where you are located it may be feasible especially at the moment as the Australian dollar is around .70 cent to the US dollar.
      Kind regards Brett

google this mate there is heaps of information on the net on HDPE boats, that is the product we are talking about - HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE. There are many different manufacturers here in Australia and in USA, and worldwide for that matter. You can weld it with hot air guns. A really good one for thick HDPE is about $3,000 - this is the only real way to join this material, nothing much sticks to it so it is an excellent choice for marine construction. It is very heavy, but very impact resistant, hence it doesn't shatter or break when the boat runs into rocks or a whale hits it from below with it's tail when playing with it's friends, and yes, this does happen to fiber glass boats.

why not simply build them yourself? duhhhh...there's floating boxes with end-points!! haa (psttt...I build catamarans, ply'wd & epoxy/glass. this isn't difficult for a nearby-boatbuilder, or YOU, to build. trust me, far-bigger Fools than you (ahemmm...) have built and floated on such DIY-hulls for centuries. I'm thinking about building a catamaran canalboat ! :-)

Polyethylene pontoons last much longer, no paint or anti fouling required. 50-100 year lifespan
