Nice build, but what would concern me is in every "finished" shot the large deck area is floating higher than the rest, and I imagine it would get worse as you got heavy furniture in it. Is there no way to balance out the ballast?
The base frame is 150 x 50 with 3mm wall. Corners were 100 x 100. Roof boarded was 200 x 200mm. Roof spans were 100 x 50 Walls had 50 x 50 every 450mm spacing Regards Brett
🤔with the costs of aluminum now in 2024 the price would crazy , just wondering if a person could build one from SIPS - ( structural- integrated - panels ) from an existing pontoon boat or two or four ? A company called Structall in Oldsmar Florida makes SIPS , I think it would be cheaper and faster to build to .
Yes, the customer exceeded the weight limit by about 2 tonnes and had all the weight on one side. To compensate, they filled one side of the floats with water to level the boat. It would have been much better with 2 tonnes less weight and a balanced load when designed. Kind Regards Brett Mackay
@MarineDockSystems thanks for that info question for you a lot of people frame with 2x4s can aluminum studs be used to build the frame of the structure
Yes you can use the floats for water storage, they are made from food grade polyethylene. Floats and nose cones are sold separately so that you can build your own. For more information marinedocksystems.com.au/houseboat.htm

Looks like a galv steel frame on top of the pontoon? Nice job
Thank you. We use fully welded aluminium
Gorgeous build! I'm researching now to try my hand at building my own!

@@MarineDockSystems thank you
you should try a lightweight houseboat that slides out to become wider on the water so a small suv can tow it.
I want one 👍🙂
bellissimo ! vorrei costruirne una potreste darmi il progetto il disegno? congratulazioni veramente

@@MarineDockSystems is the polyethylene used for insulation? What is the panel thickness? Is it also coated for watertightness?
