      @@mikeeeeee555 58K with all the options… 😳😳😳… I am sure I could have gotten a better deal somewhere else but that’s what the wife wanted. I was told by the salesman that the basecamp has become Airstream’s best seller. Don’t really know how true that is.

    Your set up is almost identical to what my wife and I roll with…only difference is we have the NuCamp T@G Boondock! Seriously down to the crush lights we are identical…crazy!! Only difference is we roll with a Jackery 1000 instead of the gas generator. Great video…new sub!

    On our second trip with the Basecamp and things are going pretty smooth (aside with some problems with our hot water heater that was beyond frustrating but that’s another story). Currently camping in Myrtle Beach. Thanks for the wealth of information. I purchased almost everything you suggested and it has worked great. Question, for the Moonshade, did you just remove the plastic trim piece altogether or did you trim it and put it back once the anchors were in place?

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  Рік тому

      Hey brother. I had every intention of trimming it to fit between the bolts but never but it back in. Not hard to do but for me became out of sight out of mind.

    I am picking up our basecamp 20X tomorrow!!!! So excited!. Your channel has been great!!! We have the Toyota TRD Pro as well. Are you using a stabilizer hitch to tow with?

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  2 роки тому

      Wow congrats! What’s your first destination? We do not use a stabilizer hitch. I don’t think they are compatible with the bolt on hitch but I could be wrong. Either way we’ve been towing for a year, most recently with 40mph gusts and haven’t had an issue.

      @@SlowYourRoll We picked it up in Spokane, WA and went directly to lake Pend Orielle and SandPoint, ID. Absolutely gorgeous! Toyota Pulled it like a champ, no sway at all... Sure glad I didn't blow $1,000 on the stabilizer hitch!

    Question, did you use the same 2 propane hoses for both the Outland Firebowl and the Blackstone grill? I’m good to go with Blackstone using the links you provided but I think the firebowl requires a hose with a different fitting at the firebowl.

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  Рік тому +1

      You will have to purchase a quick connect hose for the fire bowl and a Y quick connect splitter for the Basecamp to run both off the propane service. I tried searching my previous orders on Amazon but couldn’t find the one I ordered. It’s pretty easy to locate.

    We just placed an order for a 2023 20x. Awesome info. The salesperson said the 2023’s now come with 300w of solar. Would you recommend upgrading to lithium right away or use it for a while to see your power needs? It’s a $3000 upgrade so just making sure it’s worth it. Thx!

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  2 роки тому

      That’s a great upgrade! I thought it was odd they didn’t just use all three outlets since you can’t mix panels. If you are going off grid for most of your trips I would go with lithium. Is it still 2 batteries or 3? 3K sounds a bit pricey for 2 batteries as they run about $900 per. If that’s the case I would do the upgrade yourself.

    • @erickphillips8507
      @erickphillips8507 2 роки тому

      @@SlowYourRoll I'm not sure how many batteries it is to be honest. I'll ask. I'm fairly handy so is the upgrade pretty easy? Obviously I can search you tube and find out I guess. :) Thanks for all of your videos!

    How are you attaching the moon shade to the base camp? I have a small travel trailer but I don’t have a Kedar rail

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  Рік тому

      They make a bolt for the Basecamp specific rail. The shade comes with suction cups and I believe magnets are available as well.

  • @erickphillips8507
    @erickphillips8507 Рік тому

    Another question, sorry. Does your Outland firebowl use a lot of propane? I guess for a standard 1 week camping trip and using it every night for a couple hours does it run out?

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  Рік тому +1

      No it doesn’t use much. I don’t have an hourly estimate but that’s really due to the face that a full tank of propane lasts a while. Here’s a link to the shower head. Your original post disappeared Oxygenics 26488 BodySpa RV Handheld Shower a.co/d/fwflzah

    I can see the product link for the propane quick connect hose, but I did not see a link for the connector to use the blackstone.
    On the generator, can you run the AC off the generator? Approximately how long of a runtime do you get? (I know runtime depends on load) just wondering estimates.
    Great gear choices.

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  Рік тому

      It comes as one unit. See link a.co/d/faE0erp. Yes the generator ran the AC unit. Averaged 4-6 hours depending on temperature and electrical connections.

      @@SlowYourRoll thank you for the link. Do you have any issues with the moon shade dripping water around the door? I know it is not connected to the keder rail other than by a eyebolt. Just wondering how water flows off of it.

    Why not a Zero Water Filter instead?

    • @SlowYourRoll
      @SlowYourRoll  2 роки тому +1

      A good comparison chart: www.berkeyfilters.com/pages/berkey-vs-zerowater-filters. Most filters seem cost effective at the start but over the life exceed the cost of a Berkey and replacement filters.
