While I enjoy all of your videos, travel days are the best. Your dash cam makes it feel like we are along for the drive. Stay safe and enjoy your time with your friends.
Glad you like them Michael! A lot of folks only want how to videos,............but I don't know how to do that many things! And I am only going to review the handful of awesome products I think folks need to know about from a trusted source. I turn down a couple endorsement offers a week. I value each and every viewer enough that I will not do reviews on trivial stuff.
It’s always a safe bet to plan, recon then execute when driving a big rig. So glad you have Sue as your wingman/navigator to safely get Myles in and out of those tight spots! Safe travels my friends!
Hi guys . Can’t believe that we also stayed at the Nugget RV park on our way to Glacier.. Yes, that exit was tricky. Ofda! As always, great content. Be safe. Jim&Cheryl
Hi Mark and Sue, I have been watching you guys for a while now. Getting ready to get back into rv life. I am selling my house witch I am lucky it's all paid for. I will be able to pay cash for a good class A.. Have not been in the drivers seat in almost 20 years. I lost mom and dad mom just a few years ago. I miss them always. Just me and my dog Blue he is a blue merle chihuahua 2 years old. I'm hoping I can get him as good as Sue as my right hand helper. I am in Virginia not much here where I am. So I figured it's time to Travel again. Mark you are very well spoken and knowledgeable on every aspect of RV life style and fixes and gadgets. Great stuff you share. You both have given me the grace to give this a go again. Thank you both for your long and many hours you put into giving others a part of your Journey In Myles. God bless you both and yours..... JJ
Love watching your videos. So informative and narrating thru the scenery is a treat. So many other RVers just show videos and us viewers are at a loss of the area you are driving. Well done!
Thanks for the support Bandit! Congrats! You are the first viewer that used our NEW "thank you" button. We will be saving all the proceeds to get the DJI Wireless Mics!
Great video with Great views. Having a plans to be there first was funny because your never in a hurry lol…We received pictures from Newmar last week of the Coach being built.. Like you Mark I look at all the details to see how it is built and what goes where.. travel safe guys, see you next Sunday on You Tube
Glad you enjoyed it. I can only imagine the excitement of getting emails and photos of your coach being built along the way. Start that scrap book now,............and start figuring out your name for the rig,......
You guys definitely came here at a bad time. The weather has been gorgeous the past week. 70’s sunshine and clear blue skyline. Maybe you’ll get some of that if you pass through here again.
I love watching you guys navigate Class A. We were not new to RVing; we had a 34ft Fifth-wheel. However, driving is very different than a motorhome. We purchased a 39ft and we have some of the same issues that you are talking about in your video. We are still learning to drive as well. How do you guys do with the wind? We went to Utah at the end of March and the wind was so crazy we had to stop and rest. We had to divert our travels and stay in Las Vegas for 3 weeks and then go through Needles CA to get back east where we live. We also messed up our slide in a campground in Needles CA. We should have scoped the site out like you and Sue. 1500 miles later with a broken slide we were able to get back home. The lesson learned is always to look at the spot and don't park near any limbs.
We have a tag axle coach with comfort drive steering. Wind is basically a non-issue. In four years, I think I had to slow down from 65 mph to 55 or 50 mph for wind only 3 or 4 times. We have a 2014 Newmar Dutch Star Model 4369
Thank you for this view into the “mechanics” of getting from point A to point B. You’ve demonstrated it’s not all open freeways and sunshine. Sometimes it’s one step forward and two back.
Seems like most entrances and roads of these campgrounds were designed in the 60s or for tent trailers. Even in the 70's they had 34' trailers and larger class A's. I just figured out what Ojim name origin is. Like last week I figured out who the brit assistant was in the movie "The Accountant" after watching it 5 times. Light bulb above head time.
Thanks so much for letting me watch ! I really enjoyed every minute of this video. Just seems they are not long enough. Beautiful scenery felt like I was in that motorhome myself. One of these days I will be out their and seeing America the beautiful !
We do really enjoy travel days. We have been traveling for 4 years and 2 months now,......and never talk about stopping yet. Full time RV Life feels too natural for us,.....
We have come to look forward to all our drive days. We try to make them less stressful by breaking down the water and sewer connections the day before, and limiting our miles per day traveled to about 200 to 250 . We try to travel 4 hours or less,...with the stops included. This is WAY slower than most folks. It works for us,.....
@@OurJourneyInMyles 250m 5 hours is plenty. Thats what it takes me to travel up north. One stop 1/2 way. I drive slow. No hurry. No tickets! Take care! By now you should be heading a bit east!
Great video Mark and Sue! You both did very good on getting in and out of tight spots with the Rv and your tow. Thank goodness there was no problem. Glad you were able to hook up with your friends you haven’t seen in a long while. We have getting the smoke from California on both ends state line and Lake Tahoe. Plus NV Utah border with the fire that was there too. A lot of states were on fire. They say it was lightening for a couple of them not sure of the others. I’ve had breathing problems all weekend long. That’s why I didn’t to your video til now. Great video have a great week and stay safe and travel safe.
The smoke seemed to clear out in the Mount Rushmore area where we are for a couple of weeks, but now it seems to be getting bad again as of 8-31-2021! Stay safe & healthy Sherri.
Another great video guys! I just enjoy your easy going personalities. I think I'd be very stressed driving a Class A. But definitely once parked, I think I'd enjoy all that luxury! :o)
Our pleasure Patty! Driving the rig is fun and easy when you have a great and accurate navigator like Sue. If I was alone, the stress would take away a lot of the enjoyment of drive days.
Hello. At the 9:36 minute mark, your talking about how at times your at 37 mph in your RV. As my wife and I are getting ready to order a Newell, how many horse power did your Dutch Star come equipped with? As this will be our first motorhome, and our first 45', any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated! As always, enjoy your videos. Best regards to that most important part of your Team "Sue". ScottishxPride (Tex and Lois); Texas.
Traveling since June 2017, I can count on both hands the times we ground down to 45 mph,..........and only a few at 37mph. I of course would LOVE the 605 motor, but our budget would not allow it! We only tow a 4500 lb mini-van. If we were trying to haul the 10k lbs. the Newmar spec sheet says is allowed, THAT would be tough. With the Spartan Frame, they say you can haul 15,000 lbs! Yikes! I would say for almost everyone out there, the 450 hp, 1250 ft-lb torque, 8.9 liter Cummins is the right blend of cost, mileage and performance. Sue & I love Newells. Good luck with the new mansion!
You can do it! Hold on and spend the time before retirement to refine your plan and save some money! If you can afford to keep the house, that is probably the best. When we have to buy again, it is going to be a shock!
Another great video… you always seem to come up with an interesting and entertaining storyline. One quick question- why do you always use the walk-in talkies instead of your cell phones? I went got a set of Motorola’s as well but we just use our phones.
Good question! We initially thought the phone signals in campgrounds would be too unreliable. Except for a handful of places, this was not true. We DO need our phones many times to record what we are doing for the channel, so the walkie-talkies became the standard. We are in Hill City SD now, and our signal in probably the worse it has ever been. It would be tough to use them here. For most folks, the phones are probably the way to go.
@@OurJourneyInMyles - Cell phones do not work in many of the off-grid dispersed sites and National Forest CG’s we frequent. So the high powered GMRS hand-held radios we keep handy for caravanning in the Jeep come in handy. You can get a pair for about $60 at Amazon and they’re are much clearer with better range than old style walkie-talkies.
Great example of the inborn interstate rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Us Minnesotans have to take victories where we can. Since we cannot win a Super Bowl, unlike The Packers, we will take beating someone from Wisconsin to a campground as a great victory. Go Minnesota!
I am speechless. Pat & Paul traveled from western MN to be with us again in the Mount Rushmore area. They are continuing to beat us in everything we do. They are always on time. They never take naps. They ride twice as fast as us on the ebikes and travel 3 times as far. They do two or three tourist things PER DAY. And Pat is always making me Banana Bread. I say WI needs more Minnesotans per capita.
More Sue, less you! JK! Love ya'll. My wife and I have been RV'ing for a couple of years now(2004 Monaco) and laugh when you guys illustrate a situation that we have encountered. We look forward to Sundays.

Lost Comma is correct. Each video takes 1.5 hours per minute you see on screen to produce. We produce only a fraction of the stuff we film. Sometime a stay in one spot will give us multiple episodes. (Glacier has 4 videos.) We are in Hill City SD now, and have no time to produced any videos for the next 3 weeks, so we worked 120 hours ahead while in Buffalo and Rozet Wyoming.
Ok guys you threw me for a loop. You guys were at a Harvest Host in Quincy WA and all of the sudden your in Montana at a campground that you really gave us no info on. Was the last site you guys were at really that bad or you just took a break?
When Sue flew to WI to be with her mother for 2 weeks, our schedule had to be compressed. We had planned a few one week stays along the way from Gig Harbor WA to Bigfork, MT. They ended up being one night stops. The one night stay at The Nugget RV Park in Regis MT was nice,........but we used it just as parking spot for us to plug into 50 amp service. We didn't even hook up water or sewer.

I didn't want to say that so she doesn't get over confident.
I echo @piushorning4869's comment. Sue, you are an angel. Marco, you are indeed blessed. Sending love to you both.💙🤍❤️👍🏾

One of the best parts of full time RV life is catching up with friends that you have met along the way!
We agree,...and the longer we do this the more folks we are becoming friends with.
Challenges keep it interesting. Friends and family make it special. But all made possible by a supportive spouse. Enjoy your blessings.
So true! If Sue ever says she's done RVing, I will have to switch to a Trivato with a nice small dog!
Good to. have Sue around to guide you in the tight spots! Thanks for sharing........
