I love your videos because you show the actual driving so we can enjoy the scenery of the American landscape besides the other valued information. We dream about to RV some day. Thanks
Love Mark's show at Oklahoma & Texas boarder. You absolutely deserve a trophy equivalent to Oscar for a best actor. As always, enjoy your show. So much fun!
Y'all are right, so many long lost places along old route 66 that just have fallen off the map. We love taken a nostalgic trip when we come across one too! Safe Travels!
We stayed here in June 2020 on our way back to North Carolina. We were shocked and surprised at this great spot to overnight off the interstate! A great place and we will stay again. Thanks for posting the video!!
Thank you both for showing this video on this town that doesn’t have many people living in it. It is ghostly. Not a very big park at all and it does seem quiet too. Can’t wait until next video. See you soon travel safe and stay safe.
Some place else you should visit in OK is The Elephant sanctuary 2657 E 2070 Rd, Hugo, OK 74743. Hugo is an interesting place because several circuses and carnivals use it as a home base. We ate in a restaurant that was covered inside with vintage circus posters.
There is a new universal transponder available that will allow you to go directly thru most if not all tolls in the US. They are mostly in the east. It is called UNI and good for 18 states.
Haven’t looked at map fir where you were , but there’s a nice lake in that area called lake texhoma , sure it has rv parking , we stayed in some cabins right on water , u could rent boats etc . Nice place huge lake as I recall . Had family in USAF in Wichita Falls
As usual, thanks for the ride along. I spent several years working in Eastern OK. Brought back some memories from driving to the western part of the state. Safe travels.
I did watch the video of Texolo some time ago and it is sad to see some of these old towns just disappear and die. Thanks for the video and safe travels.
Another great video. Checked out Texola on Zillow, out of curiosity. Sadly for Texacola, not a single property or lot is listed. You’re both inspired Romantics; enjoy your Journey , and stay safe. As always, thank you .
Hi guys thank you for all the information that you give we enjoy watching your videos very informative. We watch several RV UA-camrs. You were talking about EZ Pass responders for traveling they do make a universal one covers about 18 states. You can get it on Amazon for about 18 bucks and register it. If you ever heard of changing lanes UA-cam they did a video on it. Just thought I'd pass it on to you little give back for all the info you given us. I Enjoy all the maintenance videos you do on your rig by you or a professional. thank you be safe.
Thanks for the tip! We have the Freedom Pass that we obtained from the Open Roads Diesel Fuel Discount program. We love how easy it is, because it is hooked up to the same account that pays for our diesel purchases. Everything is all on one bill for accounting & reconsiling charges.
Hope you two are doing well and staying safe. If you were actually in Oklahoma on 12/13/2020 you would be in snow. I live in Tulsa where the Gathering Place is at and we have 6" of snow in the front yard and another hour of snow expected at least. Texola is suppose to get 3 to 5 inches.
Happy Holidays Melo!! We are going to be staying in California till April then heading north to visit Sues sister and then my son in Washington State. We are thinking maybe winter 2021 will be in Florida again. I have been watching on your Facebook account to see if you are going to start to travel anytime soon. Hope things are progressing your way for you my friend. Thanks for keeping tabs on us!
Hope you enjoy it! The hardest part is remembering you have it! Most campgrounds DO NOT remind you of the discounts they offer. You have to bring in up to "jar their memory."
Hi Mark and Susan, could you help me find out where to get a FIFI? Also, the collapsible ladder you use? If those are Amazon products, share the affiliate link you have and I will purchase them that way. I am a bit of a dunderhead with these links, but forward me what you can and I will try to figure it out! Also, I saw a video of your last year where you had 3 overlapping coverages for towing. Can you share those with me? Also, my insurance agent plans to write my RV policy through Erie or Progressive. Any thoughts on that? I'd be hard pressed to tell if the quotes I get are reasonable. I thought maybe something was available from FMCA? Anything you can share is appreciated, and I appreciate all the effort you and Susan put in to your productions! Happy Holidays!
The ladder is the "Extend & Climb" brand. They have 12 versions of this ladder. We have the exact ladder we use listed in our Amazon Store page in the section entitled "Roof Maintenance Supplies". Sue & I appreciate anytime someone takes the extra effort & "clicks" to use our Amazon account. It is best to go their first thru our Amazon Store affiliate link that is in the description area underneath any of our current videos. Do not bookmark our Amazon Page, because it will only work once for OJiM. Start a fresh link each new shopping session you start, and then the purchases in that cart would be credited to OJiM if purchased. We will receive pennies on your purchases which does add up to help support or efforts and will not affect the final amount you are paying! I literally have at least a DOZEN of my green "fifi" pads that I used to have on my Amazon page. I purchased a few on Amazon but got most of them at sporting goods stores originally because they are a hunters "tree stand" seat cushion. Since then, I have updated my page to list a larger, thicker, (11" x 17.5" x 1.5" Thick) more awesome kneeling pad that I have changed over to as my pads flatten, and crumble apart. Check out the Amazon store link listed in the video description. The pads are in the "Making RVing Easier" section of our store! Cut to the chase and get the real McCoy roadside towing with Coach-Net. Make CERTAIN to also have the towing rider on your regular policy for ACCIDENT coverage towing which IS NOT roadside towing! We have Progressive and pay DEARLY to insure to an exact value ($240k) that DOES NOT decrease each year, good for 10 years. We SELECT very high limits to protect us, so we pay over $4k/year. You can find insurance for almost any price,.....it just depends on the risks you want to take. If you are full time, that is the most expensive coverage.
Very interesting video. I would not stop at a campground like DD but since it is only overnight with hookups, you probably can’t beat it for $16. I see you did not hookup your sewer for the night. Is that common practice when you just stay for one night? We noticed a delay when using cell phones that the walk-in talkies do not have. Good advice on walk-in talkies.
Many times we will NOT hook up water or sewer pipes if we are OK on the SeeLevel Gauges, which are really accurate. Electric is nice to have on the hot days of course. We are getting more comfortable with dry camping now that we are hooked on Harvest Host stays.
Interesting place. We drove right by that place last year. Looks like you may be staying in Amarillo area for your next stop. Are you going to be stopping at the 'Big Texan Steak Ranch' and the Cadillac Ranch? ;-)
I vaguely remember driving right by the Cadillac Ranch thing. Sue & I found all the signs leading up to the "Big Texan Steak Ranch" place amusing. I would love to stop and get a steak at one of the more famous places in Texas some time!
@@OurJourneyInMyles Well, you didn't miss much with the Cadillac Ranch. We stayed at the Oasis RV Resort (nice place) and ate at the Big Texan twice. Had a good steak but it's kind of a touristy place but you should go there at least once. If you can eat their 72oz steak in an hour it's free. The Palo Duro Canyon State Park isn't to far away and a nice place to visit while in the area.
Motorola T605 Talkabout, 2 Pack Bundle We have them listed in our Amazon Store, in the "Drivers Cab Electronics" section. UNDER ANY VIDEO, is the word “Show More”. If you click this, more discussion will display and you will see our Amazon Store Link.
Sue does the hard part, NAVIGATING. I do all the driving,........and just keep it between the lines. She test drove a NEW 40 foot tag axle at one of the RV Dealers we visited. She did fine.
I would guess that the website just hasn't been updated yet. It is a small operation. Assuming the owners health challenges are met successfully & Covid improves, maybe they can open again!
Awesome video my friend i miss you we haven't talked in awhile we need to change that. Keep up the great work BIG thumbs up and rang bell please do same. We have a lot of new videos that I just know you will love, leave me a comment let me how your doing and have a great week.

@@OurJourneyInMyles Your Texas character reminded me of the Lone Ranger episodes from the 1950s where the Lone Ranger disguised himself.

Quite the variety to pick from!

I have a complaint about pointee rocks and due to my rockstar status I have chosen to keep it to myself.
Let me think about this one for a while.
My driving limit is five hours or 300 miles. Maybe I should cut it down to 250 miles.
