Yep your right, the 2cv won hands down because the Capri owner had to slow down for 4 speed ramps whereas the 2cv achieved terminal velocity and flew over the ramps. This all happened at Didcot power station and the security guards on the main gate were in hysterics as the 2 CV went flying past. Let that be a lesson to people, don't mess with a 2cv.😂😂😂

I swapped it for a nearly new Skoda because I then went to college. Sweet! I remember putting a bench seat in the back, and my young kids loved going in it.

@@rolandleusden Hi Roland , Yes in London they sell really well and for good money , I love classic cars and vans and trucks , I would love a barn full of them 🤣
My first thought when I saw the van with the large windows each side of the front of the cargo area, open the rear doors and pull out a ramp and wheel a passenger in a wheelchair into it. Clamp the wheelchair down and have a seatbelt for the person in the chair. Put the ramp back up and close the doors. The wheelchair user would then have nice large windows to see out of. Make a nice 3 person vehicle with space behind the wheelchair for storage, only thing is the stuff in the back would have to be moved to get the chair in and out.
Back in the late 90s I was working for a company that issued pool vehicles. I requested an off road vehicle to visit our more rural clients and they gave me.... A Renault Kangoo 4x4. Thing is - it was legitimately one of the most fun vehicle I ever drove. Not fast, but frenetic. And you really could get places in that thing you wouldn't expect. With a tonne of crud in the back, too. I memorably recall drifting it around roundabouts in the snow and smashing snowdrifts in it. Getting stopped by the police as the road was closed due to snow - and proceeding nonetheless passing a range rover. The mud tyres just got you everywhere.
I had a ropey Dyane 45 years ago. I quite liked it once I'd swapped the 435cc engine for the mega powerful 602cc version. Did that in the street. 😂The alternator failed on Christmas eve in Stockport and I had to get back to Leeds in the dark on " four candles " . I'd have another in the right condition, but they go for a hell of a price.
take all the rubber mats out of the front and let the floor pan dry out , they tend to sweat underneath and rot the floor pan out. paint will still be available , its the same colour as my Dads GSA and he got paint recently through chevronics. i hope the underside of the doors are good condition.

I think if you kept the Citroen van as advertisement for your garage it would be great. Instantly recognisable around North Devon, creating a talking point and getting attention. Plus, car people will understand your passion for these things and you're not just here cruising about in a clapped Transit with crisp packets covering the windscreen. You can still have the crisp packets there, James. I won't tell anyone!
Tidy it up and sell it on as a mobile coffee van. London has quite a few of these parked up outside Tube stations every morning providing locals with an Expresso every day.
