    It's true, the handle that blocks the starter cover is uncomfortable and laborious, it smells a lot like Zenoah. Of course it would have been more convenient to separate it from the crankcase itself, a solution adopted by other models. Excellent model in any case, very practical and efficient air filter, very convenient chain oil flow adjustment as is the side chain tensioner.

    Thanks for another insightful video mate. I like that you always look at a saw from a techs perspective primarily. It definitely helps us.

    Echo 2511T or Husqvarna T525???

    Good stuff Richard....I just picked up an Echo 2511T. If the little Husky runs as good as the Echo when modified it will be a great deal. The real difference might be durability since the Echo is a pro-saw......

    That Husqvarna .325 .043 actually is nano cut so is the bar if that’s what’s on it now. I just bought 2 new 540xp mkiii and it has the nano setup on it just branded Husqvarna. So I guess the long love affair with Husqvarna and Oregon is still burning strong. I went to compare my nano cut stuff to the what was in the 540 and was like WTH lol 😆 it’s already on there. Even had the 7T drum.

    On the T27 the one they use is flat and square so if you have a way to kiss the bottom of you T-Handle torx with a grinder or belt sander so nice it’s square and sharp it’ll really help. Doesn’t need much..Those bolts are flat bottom and will beat up your T-Handle pretty good. It’s some weird fastener that they’ve started using.

      Echos are made by Yamabiko Corp. Same company that owns and manufactures Shindaiwa and Koiritz chainsaws and other lawn care products.😎

    Great video. Where did you get your training from? I’m trying to become a better mechanic but don’t have a lot of money.

    What would such a saw be used for? Light-duty firewood? Tree-trimming?

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  7 місяців тому +1

      Pruning and small removals. The goal is to have the smallest, lightest saw for as long as it's useful before switching to a larger saw. Thereby having the least stress on the climber. Most climbers have tendon issues after years of climbing.

    Another good one R, I've been looking at some 50cc stuff lately. How do you think the 550 stacks up against the 261..Thank You

    • @alexmatthews2332
      @alexmatthews2332 7 місяців тому

      I've had both for a long time doing tree work. In my opinion the 550 is what a 50cc saw should be, light, extremely balanced and responsive. The only thing the stihl has on it is bottom end torque. But I don't think it has any advantages besides that.

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  7 місяців тому +1

      Alex is right. The 550 is a great saw. It's got some issues as does the 261. The 550 is a racey saw. Run really good oil in it at 40:1 and it should do fine. The 261 will last longer under prolonged use. but it can't hang with the 550 performance wise.

      @richardflagg3084 to be honest I went with the 545 m2 to shave off some of the rev happy quality. It's almost impractical. I've ran 550s got the 545 m2.

    The way it ran stock made me wonder if it had a restricted exhaust it honeslty runs terrible off the shelf constslty adjusting a friends as it broke in it needs work to run decent period and we whe talking about the quarterpitch chsin also it just doesnt have the the torque to pull the 3/8 its som jittery and jumpy it needs a heavier crank or flywheel its almost too light internally

    Why do they always have to mess with the carb screws?!?!?! I wish they would just leave them slotted so we can tune our own stuff, instead of having to take it to a dealer or order some NEW special screwdriver just to tune our own saws! Rediculous if you ask me

    I got a feeling that Echo is rip off of Husqvarna... They look the same, and you obviously said that feels like Echo, but Echo is kind of junk.
    Stihl is No1 Husqvarna is No2.
    The rest of it is junk. Partner used to be good brand long time ago...
