- HEAVENLY HASH CAKE
This cake is a close 2nd to the Texas mud pie. Whats not to love about this cake. Chocolate, pecans, and marshmallows and of course lots of sugar.
Here is the recipe:
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups sugar
2 sticks butter, melted
3 1/2 TBS cocoa
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans
Mix eggs,sugar, butter and vanilla in one bowl. Mix well.
Combine remaining ingredients in another bowl and mix.
Then combine together and mix well but DO NOT use a blender.
Bake in a 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees until tooth pic in center comes out clean. 35-45 minutes.

Topping layer:
3 1/2 TBS cocoa
16 oz powdered sugar
4 TBS butter
8 TBS evaporated milk
Use a blender and blend until smooth.
Take hot cake from the oven once done. Dump 10 oz bag on miniature marshmallows on top of cake and then pour the topping layer on top of marshmallows. Heaven

It's so good! I'll be making one very soon too for Christmas dinner along with a Texas mud Pie(highly recommended) and probaby a pecan pie and some gold brick fudge.

It's a bit different. The Heavenly Hash cake and the Texas mud pie are 2 of my favorites.
@cooking4120 in the uk (where I am) hash means something else , 420 related 🤣🤣. So you can see my confusion. Nice cake though.
@@roxywelch9627 well. The 20 was added by google as I’m guess cooking41 was already used when I made my channel. So it’s cooking4120. Lol. I’ve never had the 420.
You said that you added baking soda to yours to get it to rise, will you kindly tell us how much, I want to try to make this for my American Legion Post with almond flour, because we have a lot of guys there that are gluten-free now, and I want them not to feel left out when it comes to desserts being served there.

How to make self-rising flour out of all-purpose flour
For every cup of self-rising flour called for in your recipe, measure flour carefully. You want 1 level cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour.
Add 1½ teaspoons (6 grams) baking powder and ¼ teaspoon (1 gram) kosher salt.
Whisk to combine.
