Back to School Mexican Casserole | Easy and Delicious
A Mexican casserole that utilizes corn chips that's ready in no time.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1/2 each of tsp salt, cayenne, garlic powder, paprika
1 (16 oz) can of chili
1 (10 oz) can of tomato soup
1 Cup Mexican 4 cheese blend
1 (10 oz) bag of corn chips
Dash of ketchup if desired.
Cook the ground meat and onions for about 10 minutes.
Strain to remove excess grease.
Add back to pot and brown for 5 additional minutes.
Add seasonings, soup and chili on a low heat and mix well.
In a 2 qt casserole dish add a layer of corn chips. Add meat mixture to top. Add remaining corn chips on top then sprinkle with cheese.
Add a few dashes of ketchup if desired.
Bake at 400 until cheese is melted.
Enjoy.

    LMAO!!! 🤣The subtitle algorithm straight killing itself trying to figure out the correct spelling every time he says Boudin. Bootan, Bodan etc. 🤣 Here in LA we have a lot of things that other states don't which made me very cautious not to mention the names of specific things just like this when I was in the military that I _knew_ would require a long explanation that still wouldn't be understood.

      @@cooking4120 For me personally, I like to start with whatever breakfast sausage (no casing.) Cook and remove then add some polish sausage coated in sugar. After that I'll deglaze with butter, heavy cream, and then reduce. Next is caramelized onion, the breakfast sausage pieces, and a little cream/spice/water mix. Reduce again down to desired thickness salt to taste blah blah. Normally its flour roasted in butter, milk, cooked sausage, and blondie onions. The polish pieces are to snack on while you cook.

      St. Mary Parish. Wish I knew how to speak the Cajun French but it wasn't passed down. My grandmother could speak it fluently but she never passes it down to my mom. My other grandmother could understand it. When they started school it was discouraged for them to speak it in grade school.
