LEMON PUDDING CAKE VIDEO IS NOW UP!
CHECK IT OUT!😀
I remember the lemon pudding cake. There was that recipe for the chocolate one. But I never made that one. But I didn’t make the lemon pudding one. And it’s amazing you put all these ingredients together. Don’t remember what they were. My kids were little then. And when you bake it, the lemon pudding us at the bottom of the cake is on top. And it was just great. So happy you did that want to watch the lemon pudding cake video because I’d love to make it again. Thanks so much.

Lemon Sounds delicious.. too. thx for sharing the chocolate pudding recipe..🥰
We called it Chocolate Upside Down Cake. A real treat in our house. I actually made it this week. My recipe slightly different. 2 Tbls butter instead of shortening, creamed with sugar. Pudding is 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Baking time only 30 minutes instead of 45. You can double and put in 9 X 13 pan. In our house growing up, that was necessary!
Thank you for the comment! It's so interesting how many variations to this recipe are out there. It's really good to know a doubled recipe fits into a 9 x13 pan!!
I made it with butter also.
Butter! That’s the trick. You can also substitute regular milk for canned or evaporated milk.
Is it the same portion if you use butter instead of shortening?
Im not a baker but omg i have to try this!😅
Yes! Same amount!! Let me know how it turns out! Yay!
Between my mother and I, we have been making this cake since the 1950’s. The recipe appears in the old Betty Crocker Cook Book that I still have. This was always a family favorite and my brother always insisted on this for his birthday cake. It’s very quick and easy to make and can be whipped up when unexpected company comes by. If you put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, you’ve got a hot fudge brownie sundae.🥰
I love that both you and your mom make this cake! It's great when recipes continue on in the family. Food memories are the best! Thank you very much for watching!
Can I have the recipe from your book of Betty crocker. Thanks.
We called it chocolate brownie pudding. A fast and super delicious dessert. We used extra cocoa in both the cake and the brown sugar cocoa topping , and didn’t care a bit the type of brown sugar ! Add more boiling water and you get more delicious sauce!
This recipe kept seven children happy when I was growing up, and four more happy when I was raising my own.
Brings back very fond memories of learning to cook as a young girl. Good with a scoop of ice cream, or even a shot of milk.
A comfort food of the highest order. 🥰🍩🍦🍫
@@rogerguerra4576 Just Google “Betty Crocker Hot Fudge Sundae Cake”.
I made that one a lot when we lived abroad as it doesn’t need eggs. Our kids still request it and they’re grown.
We always called it Chocolate Pudding Cake. My Mom has been making it since I was a child - until she had to go to a Nursing Home in 2018 anyway. I'm 68 years old. I understand that her mother taught her how to make it when she was a young teenager. Mom and Dad got married when they were 15 years old and had been married for 49 years when he passed away. I have only made the Chocolate Pudding Cake twice that I can remember. After we kids moved out on our own, we had the dessert when we'd come home for holidays - Mom always made it for us as we all loved it. Mom had to make it without nuts because one sister hated nuts, but we didn't care - it was just as good without the nuts. One year my brother ate the whole pan himself before the rest of us got there. When we showed up Mom was making some more for the rest of us. We yelled at him and wouldn't let him have any of the new pan of dessert - he never did that again! I miss my mother! She passed away in 2019. I wonder if my sister has the recipe? I think she does. I need to ask her to make me some as she's a lot better cook than I am. Seeing this is making me crave some!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your story!! How wonderful that your mother made this for you and your family over the years. And what a lovely memory for you to have.
It's a self saucing chocolate pudding, very popular in Australia and NZ. Our recipe usually doesn't have nuts1, uses melted butter, and the hot water poured over is usually coffee. Also mix it in the same dis you bake in and save some dishes. We also don't cut it, we scoop it out with a spoon and serve with ice cream(great contrast of hot and cold) or whipped cream. It's also great cold when the saucy bit solidifies a bit.
I love the idea of using the baking dish to put this recipe together. And I definitely think the scooping would be easier. I was trying to make it look good on the plate, but this is not a recipe that would win a food beauty contest, no matter how you put it on the plate. Lol. Thank you for sharing.
This was popular in Canada as well, especially in the winter. We used coffee as well and no nuts and baked in a round glass casserole dish.
I'm with you: no nuts, and using coffee instead of water sounds perfect! May give it a go!
Oh, I have never thought of coffee! Will try next time! Thx!
I’ve been making a version of this since late 70s but we used coffee as the hot liquid and we also used reisen candies . Sooo good.
My mom had 8 kids...this was the only cake she would bake. She had this recipe in the 1960's. It was easy, it didn't require lots of kitchen tools to wash and she would double the recipe. It was always delicious and reminds me of home. Thanks for sharing it.
What a great story. I love the fact that a simple recipe can bring back so many fond memories. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Every mother in 🇨🇦 during the 60’s/70’s had a recipe for this. Served with vanilla ice cream or sometimes just some milk(you get chocolate milk👍). This was probably 2-3 times a month as it was a family favourite
We call it Hot Fudge Sundae Cake and started making it in the early 70’s. Easily doubled in a 9x13 because it’s so easy and such a crowd pleaser. We use canola oil instead of melted shortening and double the cocoa powder to please chocolate lovers. There’s also a peanut butter version…..
Hot Fudge Sundae Cake is a perfect name for this. And it is a total crowd pleaser. It simple disappears once it's out of the oven!! Thank you so much for the comments!
I definitely need to try this peanut butter version.
Recipe for the peanut butter version please!!
Sixties & seventies were delicious days we had.. lovely lovely days ever
Isn't it amazing how food brings back vibrant and wonderful memories?
This was a staple dessert (sans nuts) in high school home economics classes in the 1960’s. A girl friend taught me to make it, I taught my aunt, and it spread throughout kitchens in town.
Edit: It was called “chocolate pudding cake”, I think.
This sounds like the definition of "going viral" in the 60's. How awesome is this story. I love it. Thank you for sharing!
Yup! We called it "Brownie Pudding".
My mom made this frequently! I believe in the 60s! She made a version with cinnamon in it too, calling it Mexican chocolate pudding cake 😋 deliciously moist!!
Yum. Love the cinnamon!
Speaking of home ec classes in the 60s ... I sure wish I still had the macaroni & cheese recipe!
Hi there, an Aussie here. We used to have that as kids, we called it self saucing pudding. I still make it for the grandkids. it is yum!
Thank you for reaching out. I was shocked at how "yum" it was!
I still make this. It is our family Christmas Eve dessert and has been as long as I can remember, and I'm 60! My Mother made it for years. I carry on the tradition. We increase the topping ingredients to have more chocolate sauce and serve it with vanilla ice cream.
That sounds yummy!! Good idea re: increasing the topping ingredients! Thank you for sharing.
Do you mind sharing your recipe?😅>
I remember making this in Home Ec class at school! (Back when we taught useful life skills in our schools). It was always a family favorite!
It is now a family favorite of ours!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
When I was a kid (waaaay back) my mom used to buy boxed (maybe Betty Crocker) pudding cake mixes, chocolate, lemon, butterscotch. In the box you got two pouches, one cake mix and one powdered something or other. You mixed the cake mix with water or milk (can't recall that well), put the batter in the bottom of a baking dish, sprinkled the contents of the other pouch over the top then poured boiling water over and baked. We had the most delicious pudding cake, cake with its sauce already on the bottom. We loved it when we had pudding cake!
Oh! How interesting. If you decide to make this, let me know how it compares to what you remember!!
@@kitchenintheshire I will for sure! I remember that we loved them, they were soooo good! And it seemed like some kind of amazing miracle how the sauce ended up working its way to the bottom while the cake part was on the top! Delish! I think you might still be able to find pudding cake recipes online.
It was always my favorite. I've not found a recipe as good.
Total miracle!!!
The box mix I (and my mother before me) grew up with was called ‘Py-o-my’ - it was definitely available still in the 80’s but hasn’t been for many years
in the past ive seen these referred to as australian self saucing chocolate pudding, binging with babish iirc did a recipe on it. ive made it a couple times, and its one of my favorite desserts. i also love topping it with whipped cream! fun tip, instead of pouring hot water on top, try using hot coffee next time!
I love that idea! I thought about putting espresso powder in the cake mix, but I think I'll try your idea first!
Maybe a future video...
@@kitchenintheshire haha wish I could claim credit but it was in that video, and probably he got it from somewhere else
Yes, we call it self saucing pudding, it's an easy recipe or you can buy the packet version.
I was in high school in the 70's and a similar recipe was in my Home Economics cookbook. In my recipe the butter and sugar are creamed, an egg is added and there are no nuts. The recipe is called Baked Chocolate Pudding. This is a favorite in my house and I must have made it 50 times. We always have it hot with ice cream. Yum, yum.
Yes I remember having it in Australia in the early sixties also a lemon version.
In the 1970s when I got married, I received a Betty Crocker cookbook that had binders like a notebook inside that cookbook is where I found the recipe for chocolate pudding, cake or something like that. I have made the same cake for decades.
I grew up with Betty Crocker and Better Homes and Garden. I seriously don't know how I missed this recipe. It's such a fun, delicious recipe. Thank you for sharing!
In my recipe, you mix the cocoa and brown sugar with the hot water and then pour it over. My husband’s favorite winter dessert!
Interesting!! This recipe is so adaptable. No matter which method is used, pudding on the bottom is the result. Love your comment!!
This is much older than the 60s . I have a NZ recipe book from the early 50s and its in there .
I didn't know that! I wonder how far back it goes??
I grew up eating this exact cake in the 70's. Dad hand cranked homemade ice cream to put on it. ❤
We called this chocolate pudding cake and it was actually a Hershey recipe. It has been my birthday cake every year since I was 12. I'm 46. And both my kids LOVE it.
Oh I love this! I have an egg recipe that I made for my kids, every Christmas morning during their childhood. They are all grown now, and still want me to make this for our holiday family party. I don't think we've ever missed a year. Food memories are the best!! Thank you for sharing.
My mom made this for us a lot when we were kids. That would have been the 70's. We called it "Brownie Pudding" and usually had it with vanilla ice cream.
Brownie Pudding is a great name for this. Yum to the ice cream! Thank you for sharing your memory!!
Same in our family. We kids loved it. I still make it one in a while when feeling nostalgic.😃
Same here. My mother made “brownie pudding “ with vanilla ice cream on top. So good!
Same! Great memories!
I used to make this cake years ago, thank you for the reminder! Try using a round glass casserole dish, centering the batter in the dish, but don't spread it out to touch the sides of the bowl- leave a couple inches of space all around. Pour the sugar/cocoa/water over the top, as shown here. After it is done baking, the cake comes out surrounded by a moat of chocolate pudding sauce.
That sounds like a fun idea. If you make it again, take a picture! I'd love to see that. And I'll try it the next time I make it. Thank you for sharing!
My mother used a glass baking dish too. Batter on the bottom and pour liquid over top. Bake and cake rises over the syrupy mixture. She never added chocolate or nuts. 🇨🇦
@@cleach5501 No chocolate? What flavor was it?
An Italian friend of mine gave me this recipe. ( it was a family recipe) . I've made it for years for my family. My Girls are in their 40's & still ask for it ❣️
My mother made pudding cakes when I was a child. I’m now 56. We absolutely loved them.
The cake mix companies (I think in the 1970s) had boxed pudding cakes in chocolate and lemon flavors and they were very good too. I don’t know why they quit making them. Pudding cake is WONDERFUL!!! The only thing I would change is I would use either butter or coconut oil in place of the shortening. Anyone have a recipe for the lemon pudding cake?
I think butter or coconut oil would work fine. I would love to find an older version of the lemon pudding cake that is made from scratch! Thank you for your input!! And for watching.

Oh, the lemon one. I loved the Apple one. I wonder why they stopped making the ? Maybe we could start a campaign?
Thank you so much!!!!!
I am 54 and I remember my grandmother making this cake and I fell in love don't remember it having nuts in it but I never tasted it again been looking all these years for the recipe. Thank you for bringing back a childhood memory. Can't wait to make it.. ♥️
I love your childhood memory! Let me know if it's as good as you remember!!
I cook in a small town nursing home and I used to make this cake for dessert often. The folks really enjoyed it!
I am sure they did enjoy it. Many of them probably remember making it themselves? What a fun recipe to make for them. Thank you for sharing!
We have made that exact recipe for decades...a family favorite. In fact, I made it today, and it's currently sitting on top of my stove waiting for our son to drop by. Yum!
I love that your son is dropping by to share cake with you! This is a perfect "sharing" cake! Thank you for the comment!
In Australia as previously mentioned it is called self saucing chocolate pudding. A nice variation instead of the nuts is to add caramel centre chocolates in to the “cake mixture” after it was spooned into the pudding bowl and before you pour the hot water on. And just cook as usual.
Oh yum. Good idea for caramel lovers!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh my... Memories of mama making this desert in a particular pan....so good! Best warm and fresh from the oven and not bad the next day if you manage to have leftovers.
Oh, I love this! I have so many fond food memories regarding my mother, and I love hearing about yours!!
My Mom used her Pyrex mixing bowls, the green one for just us or the big yellow one if we had company!! I have her bowls and use them for this cake! Good to keep memories alive.
We had those Pyrex bowls growing up!! What a great memory. Thank you for sharing!!
My aunt used to make chocolate pudding and lemon pudding cakes for me growing up. I have remembered them to this day and it's only due to UA-cam that I've found recipes to what for me were legendary lost recipes. Thanks for sharing this! The cake my aunt made did not have nuts in it as she thought it would have been too brownie-like. She liked the refined texture of the pudding and would serve it to guests due to the magic quality. It made great dinner conversation. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing these memories. I've now made the cake with and without nuts, and I love it both ways. Totally understand the refined texture sentiment without the nuts. It is so yummy!! The whole dessert is magical!
My mum has made this for years always a hit in our house. Chocolate self saucing pudding
Such a satisfying dessert! Thank you for watching!
I’ve been making this for over a half-century and it’s always a hit.
I am so glad to have discovered it!! Thank you for the comment!
My mom made this. I haven't thought of it for years. Thanks for bringing it back and giving us the recipe!
Yay to your mom!! This is so good, and you are welcome. I hope it turns out well for you!! Thanks for sharing your memory!
thanks for bringing back memories! it was one of the first cakes I learned to bake as a kid because it was relatively simple. It was made in a 1 and a 1/2 quart pyrex casserole.
You're welcome!! What a nice memory to have! Thank you for sharing.
Looks soooooooooooooo good! Thank you!!
This recipe (or a very similar one) was in a Pillsbury BakeOff cookbook from the 60’s, and was a standard treat in our house, but without nuts because one of my sibs didn’t like nuts. Called Chocolate Pudding Cake.
Chocolate Pudding Cake is the name of the recipe that was given to me. I remember those Pillsbury BakeOff cookbooks. My mother had them!! Thank you for sharing!
In Australia this is called a chocolate self-saucing pudding. We make it with butter instead of shortening, and no nuts. It’s been a staple dessert in our house since I was a child, and is usually served with ice cream. I think I might try adding pecans to it next time I make it, that sounds like a great addition
There’s a tried and tested recipe for it by The Australian Women’s Weekly Cookbook, which is a bible for Aussie cooks and has been for over 100 years
Great name! Many people like it without the nuts, and I'm going to try it that way next time, but I have to say...to me, the nuts in there were really good in this cake. I think it works really well both ways! Thank you for the comments!
I grew up in the 60s and 70s and this was a very popular winters treat. Delicious. Youve inspired me to make some today.
Oh yay!!! Let me know if you make it, and how it turns out! Thank you for the comments!
I grew up in the 70's and spent many hours with my mom in the kitchen watching her cooking meals and baking treats. I must have been 10 years old when I got my very own cookbook for Christmas, Sunset Favorite Recipes. As soon as I found and tried the Chocolate Pudding Cake recipe, there was no turning back. I made this so many times for my friends and family from then on. Still my favorite homemade baked dessert.
I lost that cookbook many years ago...
Thank you for posting this!!!
I LOVE this memory. What a great Christmas present! And this is going to be on the top of my go to list from this point forward!! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my goodness, the cake looks delicious! I am so going to have to try it. I liked your reactions to it while putting it together. 😁 Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Thank you so much for the comment, and please let me know how yours turns out!
Felt so peaceful watching this pleasant video of yours. I’ll check more videos of yours out now. You deserve more subscribers!
Thank you for the very kind words and thank you for watching!
I'm delighted to have seen this video. I learned how to do this cake as a youngster in the sixties, but never wrote it down. As an adult I failed when I tried to recreate it from memory. Now, as a grandmother, I get to make a favorite dessert!
This makes me so happy!! Yay!! Let me know how it turns out!! Thank you for sharing this!
I used to make triple batch of this for my dad who loved it! I am 83 years young
Yep! Definitely made this as a kid! But I don’t think we put nuts in ours. It’s phenomenal!
Thank you so much for the comment. The nuts seem to be somewhat controversial. Lol.
For old time sake I will omit the nuts :)
I made this (with some chili) to take a family that had just come from the hospital. Didn't want them coming home exhausted and trying to figure out what to do about dinner. They loved it all! She had not heard of this type of cake and wants the lemon recipe too. So I've sent your links to her. You'll probably get another subscriber.
I liked that it wasn't horribly sweet. I wonder if today's food industry has just pumped so much sugar into our diets- we think that's what makes a dessert. I personally loved the crunchy bits along with such a light cake and the sauce. I'm trying hard to cook more from scratch - for money saving AND for knowing the ingredients are healthier and less preservatives, etc.
Watched the lemon one a minute ago. I'm thinking it would be easy to do the same recipe with an orange too! 🥰
I honestly think the possibilities are endless, as far as flavors for this recipe. It's incredible!! And thank you so much for passing along the links to the videos! I so appreciate that!
My. I’m made all the time love it
This makes me so happy this is Ben my traditional birthday cake since I was a young man I am now 54. And as many times as I have made it, it always feels like you have forgotten something. The only thing different is we never put nuts in it. Thank you for doing this recipe.
You're welcome!! I hope it tastes the same as it did when you were a young man! Thank you for sharing.
I make this cake all the time. The recipe is in a BH&G cookbook I received as a 1992 wedding present. My recipe uses only white sugar. I make it in a big oven-safe bowl and serve it up with a spoon, rather than cut into squares. I'll have to try the brown sugar next time.
Let me know what you think of the brown sugar versus white sugar! I totally understand why serving it up with a spoon would work. Getting the square was a bit of work. Lol. Thank you for the comments!
This came prepackaged like cake mix, topping, and all we added was water. Also in apple cinn. and lemon.
OOoooh! LEMON!
That sounds interesting.. I'm going to have to track that one down!
Thank you for the info!
Yes I remember those! So sad that we can't get them any more!
This was so good i will make it again and am going to try your lemon.
My mother made this cake in the 50s..I've lost all of her recipes in a flood..I also made it when raising my family..I'm so glad to see it..thank you so much..❤
You are welcome!! I'm so glad you found it again!! ❤️. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Known as Mississippi Mud Cake in our neck of the woods 😊
My mom has made this since the early 70’s. Her recipe was slightly different and upside from the one you did. There was no crisco, it was vegetable oil. No brown sugar, only white. Nuts were optional (unlike my family- we had no choice on the craziness 😅) Anyways…the topping and water was mixed together and poured in the pan. The batter was placed about the pan in large spoonfuls in the liquid. It came out looking pretty much the same as yours did though. We always served it with a good size scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum 😋
Thanks for the memories! ❤
Is so interesting to read how many variations to this recipe there are. And yet, it remains incredibly delicious. Yum!! Thank you for sharing this memory. Love it.
Also had this growing up both with or without nuts, also a neat version is a strawberry rhubarb with sugar on bottom, add thick pudding type batter, pour sugar syrup over that and bake ...
Oh that sounds good!!! Do you have a recipe? Thank you for the comment!
I'm so excited to HAVE this recipe thank you for sharing.

Thank you for watching. I love the name "Chocolate Lush"!!!! And the drizzle of cold milk sounds delicious.
Yes! Chocolate Lush. My dad worked at the local creamery and would bring cream home almost every day. So it was always whipped cream on top of ours.
Looks yummy!! I’ll have to try it!👍
I hope you do. It is very yummy!! Thank you for the comment!

I remember having this in the 70s and 80s at our closest family friends' house. They called it "brownie pudding."
Thanks for sharing your memory. I love these stories. For me, this is what it is all about!!
My mother called it brown pudding cake! It’s still a favorite on Sunday nights when my kids and grandkids come to visit.
My mother and aunt used to make this often. I think they served it warm with ice cream, if I remember. I’m not sure they always put in nuts either.
I’ll tell you though “regular brown sugar” is almost white these days compared to what I remember. Sign of the times I suppose. Prob could sub something else for the Crisco too without much impact, to avoid trans fats.
Thank you for watching! I agree that another fat would probably work with this recipe.
I use Demerara sugar
Definitely going to try this 👍💝
Oh Yay!! Let me know how it goes!! Thank you for watching!!
I loved making this cake when I was growing up. There was a box recipe, but I don’t remember who made it. It’s so good.
This recipe is sooo good! And so easy to make. Thank you for the comments!
This is chocolate cobbler.
Another good name for the same dessert. It's amazing how many different names this simple dish has garnered.
Yes!! My recipe is called chocolate cobbler too! Mine uses all white sugar, though. And instead of adding shortening to the batter, you simply start by melting a stick of butter in your pan, then add batter, sugar/cocoa layer and then water! We eat it with ice cream, and top with toasted pecans rather than add to batter.
Wow I can't believe you dug up this recipe. I used to make this in the 70's. I scooped it out and put over vanilla ice cream. After my early 20's I stopped as it was so decadent. I bet I still have a handwritten stained copy stuck in an old recipe book somewhere. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
This makes me so happy!! I hope you make it again and enjoy every bite!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Chocolate Pudding, a staple when I was a kid. We used to pour the water over the back of a spoon to distribute the water gently without putting holes in the cake batter.

I made this cake last night, I subbed the shortening for butter and it was amazing!!
My daughter (25) is severely allergic to milk/butter/cheese. Before the internet and dairy alternatives, it was very challenging to cook for her-especially desserts. A similar recipe was in an allergy cookbook; it was one of the only things I could make that actually tasted good for the whole family. FYI: The best milk substitute I’ve found is Coffee Rich NonDairy Creamer. It is typically found in the frozen section here in the Northeast of U.S.
I'm glad you found a substitute that made it possible to feed the entire family a tasty dessert. This is the best feeling!! I've never seen the Coffee Rich NonDairy creamer before! Thank you for sharing!!
Your kitchen looks so cozy and inviting 😊

When microwaves first came out, it was in nearly every cookbook that came in the box. Pretty much the same but only takes about 10 minutes. We loved it. Still do. The recipe is all over UA-cam.
Someone else mentioned that this could be made in the microwave. It is a very versatile cake. And so yummy!! Thank you for the comments!
Oh my goodness!! I remember this cake😊 ...thanks for sharing

This took me back! I thought the recipe looked familiar and sure enough, when I pulled down my 1969 edition of Betty Crocker's Cookbook, there it was🙂. It was and is one of my favorite cookbooks. I received it as a shower gift in 1970 but lost it when a 1990 tornado wiped out our house and all belongings. After the dust settled, I searched high and low for a copy and finally discovered it at a used book store. I still remember the when and where I was at when I finally found it. And I loved watching your expression when you finally tasted it! Thanks for this!
I'm so happy you were able to replace your cookbook!! Especially after losing it in such a traumatic way. Wow! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. I was totally shocked at how good this cake was. 😂. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, I lost track of this recipe decades ago. Was thrilled to see it and while you were checking the steps, I was loudly telling you what to do!!!
Last step, as soon as you take it out of the oven, turn the cake over onto a plate and you get the topping covered cake. If left to cool in pan, the brown caramelized sugar gets hardened and difficult to scrap the pan.
Loved it, set a lot of it as a child and made it for my children too!!!
Love the "loudly telling you what to do". Hysterical!! And I love the idea of turning it upside down on a plate!! Thank you so much for the comments!
Looks delicious! Your editing is great, too.
Thank you so much! And the cake is delicious.
This brought back so many memories for me! My mom used to make this when I was a child, we loved her pudding cake!
I'm so glad it brought back memories for you. Food memories are the best!! Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I remember this cake ! Yummy
So yummy!! Thank you for the comment.
I love watching this for a second time, after I had made it. It is freaking awesome. I love her doubting the outcome and then pleasantly surprised after. I especially like that it is enough for just the two of us.
My mum made this in the '60s. I still make it sometimes if I'm feeling nostalgic.
Totally understand feeling nostalgic about food. I make sloppy joes for the same reason! Thank you for the comment!
Used to make this as a teenager. Thank you for sharing that recipe!
Thank you for being here. I really appreciate it!
In the 1960 you could even get them in the cake mix aisle, they called them pudding cakes, they had chocolat and lemon. I have been making the crock pot version for years. I love it
Several people have mentioned the crock pot version! I'm definitely going to have to try that!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you. I love chocolate!!!
