Thank you so much. HP user guide did not mention to flip the laptop over to actually pry open the back cover around the keyboard. Your video saved my day.
My Dad got this laptop from work and I followed this video, the fan was broken and this helped open this and I upgraded the Hard Drive to a 1TB and the Ram to 16GB, thanks for the video.
Thanks. I was trying to get out my sis laws hard drive from the very same HP notebook you have there. Your instructions helped a lot. Got a new subscriber here!
I needed this info to take out the hard drive so we can recycle the computer. Your video was straightforward and easy to watch. I have subscribed! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! I have been looking for a tutorial for this laptop for ages! I have been looking into updating to an ssd and it has been well worth it
Tell me why you’re taking out the hard drive. I reset my hp pro book and Operating system was not found. Disconnect any drives…ctrl+alt+del…and screen is stuck. What do I do?!
I have a similar hp laptop that got some water damage. Monitor was already splint at the hinge and now is completely blank. There is still a light on the side by the power cord that comes on when plugged in. My question is, is there an external case or holder i can plug the hard drive into once removed so i can connect it to my new laptop to try and access files?
I have several HP laptops that I no longer use. Can I remove the hard drives, replace them with new and larger memory SSD and load MS10 operating system and use the computer. They are all in good condition. What should I be looking for to do this? What kind of SSD do you recommend? I live in S America so doing it my self is the way to go. Thank you.
Couldn't get the small mounting screw located near the hard drive connector restarted, so I just moved it to the empty screw hole at the rear of drive. Everything seems to work fine.
do you have hp laptop body, the back casing of my laptop has been broken and it occurs a sound when i open and close, if you have please reply, it will be big help to me please
I have a preparing to auto repair message and apparently removing the hard drive and putting it back in fixes it... How do I get it back in after taking it out?
Knowing to remove those rubber footings was essential information, thank you.

Very logical and straightforward without a load of egotistical rubbish as so often on other Y'tubes. Really great - Thanks!
Thank you for this. I already got as far as removing all the back screws, but this gave me the confidence of knowing I wasn't missing something.

I concur. Keep the parts separate and in order while working in an open space. A little housekeeping and your done.
