Awesome, on behalf of my daughter, wife and myself thanks for letting us know about what to expect when we get back to the theater! The family still loves the Drive In, (Ruskin twice in the past month) and that is thanks to you bro for reminding us via your excellent Lakeland blog! Little things about how the popcorn gets nice and buttery can get people wanting to see another movie outside of their house, man that popcorn looks good! Great video again, you rock guy!
I think even if AMC does go out of business theaters in general will continue to survive in some fashion. Theaters are apart of the movie culture and even if there are less of them the theater going experince is unique one and will survive in some way just like drive ins. I went through a traumatic experience at a theater and find it hard to enjoy the experience, as much as I love it the event has been a bit tainted for me though I'm lucky enough to have converted my spare bedroom into a theater room with actual AMC chairs and a 150 inch projector. I mainly only go to the theater for the major franchise releases anymore or if friends want to drag me to something.

Man I miss going to the movies sooo much. Just the feeling you get when you sit down on those seats when your movie is about to start. The setting is just right and you have your popcorn and your drink. I miss it so much. I still won’t be able to go for a long while. I’ll be so excited to go when the time comes.

Last movie my roommate and I saw before the Pandemic: Knives Out First movie we saw when movies opened back up: PREY I have missed the theater experience! The sights, the smells, sounds. Sitting at home with the t.v cranked, dollar tree candy, microwave theater butter popcorn and bottled soda wasn't the same!
I feel weird about going back to the theaters... and it has NOTHING to do with Corona Virus. Ready for it? I'm an AMC A-lister and watched movies all the time and loved it.. but the people working their drop the ball SOOO many times. My experience. (I usually go to AMC at Del Amo mall in Torrance)... I've watched movies there last year and couple times they forget to turn the lights off. Someone has to walk out of the movie theater to tell somebody. I mean come on... really? A couple other times they have a Windows desktop picture on the screen andnu already know its not working or setup right when u sit down. And if they DO get it running right they played movies with the same trailer back to back. Happened numerous times. You can hear people sigh when it comes on again. One time the same trailer played 3 times in a row. People were mad. Also about 10 times, yes 10.. of the 100 movies i saw last year they never even started the movie. They have someone come in the theater whose like 15 or 16 saying they're having technical issues and it'll be like 15 minutes. Then half an hour passes and then they tell people sorry but the movie isn't going to show. They DO give free passes so thats good but its sad you wasted part of ur day just sitting there. Also the theater door numbers dont have what movie is playing so if u lose ur ticket or something u cant figure out which theater to go into. Also the cleanliness OMG the cleanliness. I always look before I sit down but I.saw seats that were wet and so much trash on the floor even AFTER they clean up. You can even smell it too. I'll forever be a movie buff and love watching movies in theaters but im on the fence about going anymore but I think movie theaters may be on their way out. My friends 82" Samsung TV in his home looks just as good if not better than the IMAX quality in the movie theaters. So anyways, thats my 2 cents. Im glad ill be able to watch Mulan on Disney+ without wondering if there will be issues again. Man such a head scratcher to wonder about seeing a movie in movie theaters again.
Jeez. That sounds like...even worse than what I expect from a cheap rundown movie theater. There's just no excuse for that, especially for AMC. The last time I've been to AMC, which was a couple of years ago, I noticed they no longer use masking. But the trailers and movies play properly. I usually go to a state-based theater (Harkins) and they make sure the presentation is right. Kinda disappointing to hear because I like the decor and overall design of AMC.
The tickets were $.15 only on the 20th I believe that was the official opening. The classic movies are all five bucks and the new runs a regular price.
I just went back to the movie theaters (Harkins). Presentation was good overall. For one thing, the lights do turn off. I think they are programmed to with the 'smart' technology in the multiplex. Picture was a bit dull, looking kinda like how my phone displays HDR, but I'm sure the 'CINE' screen has a brighter, more vivid picture. I saw Sonic the Hedgehog... HEY!!! I figured with this whole...year, I could use something a little lighthearted. Yeah, go ahead and laugh, y'all deserve a good laugh. 😉
I will be trying to go back to the movies to see Godzilla Vs Kong. Don’t know what to expect but I’m going to give it a shot. This video reminds me of how much I really missed going to the theater. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!

I never liked going to movie theater anyway. where a bunch of strangers share the same recliners.🤢. That’s y I have a home theater. But so sad now, no more New releases 4K blu rays coming out
Wow! Just yesterday, me and my nephew watched The Dark Knight and we had to sit like two feet away from someone because we wasn’t sure on who was or wasn’t sick... and the workers didn’t allow refills for the drinks (Hollywood Theater ; Jacksonville,Fl) and the lights dimmed when the movie started and not many people showed up.
Here in the Midwest we have AMC and Marcus theaters. Both are open now. I prefer Marcus because of their spacious stadium seating with push button reclining seats. Their seats are so comfortable I could easily fall asleep when it is fully reclined. I went to see Tenet today. Awesome movie!!

I saw Back To the Future on Thursday the day it re-opened. I was on vacation so I was able to go to the 3:45 PM show. It felt good to be there again. I missed it.
Just went to watch TENET today which was mindbending, only 8 people in my screen. Theatre seat distancing in U.K. screens they leave 2 empty seats each side of you. Also you wear a mask through the foyer and through to your seat, you can then remove it while the film plays.
I’m going to a movie theatre to see the new Jurassic world movie with some family members and I won’t have to wear a mask since it’s been a year and it’s calmed down and I’m really excited since I haven’t gone since 2019.
I live in Vancouver WA and i would STILL go to the movies but only if its almost EMPTY, which is the way i USUALLY GO in normal times, ive been doing that since the mid 1990's. I have gone to regular showings of certain films because some films are better when it's a larger crowd , i can't explain it but certain films are better with bigger groups.

I had a wonderful time at the AMC Veterans 24 on this past Sunday to see Beauty and the Beast. It was great. I am so happy that the movie theaters are open again and I think they did a wonderful job and I hope they get to stay open and get more business with people like Us giving them kudos. This looks like the Brandon, FL AMC. They have recliners in the very front rows, & plush rockers for the rest of the seats. I’ve been there before & like those seats.
Glad you enjoyed it. I'm old enough that I saw every Star Wars movie in the theater on its original release. The original Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. And it looks like The Rise of Skywalker will be the last movie I ever see in a theater.
AMC is finally open in Los Angeles county as of May 2021. I plan on picking up my free birthday (April) popcorn too lol. I love the movie theater experience.

Man I miss going to the movies sooo much. Just the feeling you get when you sit down on those seats when your movie is about to start. The setting is just right and you have your popcorn and your drink. I miss it so much. I still won’t be able to go for a long while. I’ll be so excited to go when the time comes.

I have missed the theater experience! The sights, the smells, sounds. Sitting at home with the t.v cranked, dollar tree candy, microwave theater butter popcorn and bottled soda wasn't the same!
I feel weird about going back to the theaters... and it has NOTHING to do with Corona Virus. Ready for it? I'm an AMC A-lister and watched movies all the time and loved it.. but the people working their drop the ball SOOO many times.
My experience. (I usually go to AMC at Del Amo mall in Torrance)... I've watched movies there last year and couple times they forget to turn the lights off. Someone has to walk out of the movie theater to tell somebody. I mean come on... really? A couple other times they have a Windows desktop picture on the screen andnu already know its not working or setup right when u sit down. And if they DO get it running right they played movies with the same trailer back to back. Happened numerous times. You can hear people sigh when it comes on again. One time the same trailer played 3 times in a row. People were mad. Also about 10 times, yes 10.. of the 100 movies i saw last year they never even started the movie. They have someone come in the theater whose like 15 or 16 saying they're having technical issues and it'll be like 15 minutes. Then half an hour passes and then they tell people sorry but the movie isn't going to show. They DO give free passes so thats good but its sad you wasted part of ur day just sitting there. Also the theater door numbers dont have what movie is playing so if u lose ur ticket or something u cant figure out which theater to go into. Also the cleanliness OMG the cleanliness. I always look before I sit down but I.saw seats that were wet and so much trash on the floor even AFTER they clean up. You can even smell it too. I'll forever be a movie buff and love watching movies in theaters but im on the fence about going anymore but I think movie theaters may be on their way out. My friends 82" Samsung TV in his home looks just as good if not better than the IMAX quality in the movie theaters. So anyways, thats my 2 cents. Im glad ill be able to watch Mulan on Disney+ without wondering if there will be issues again. Man such a head scratcher to wonder about seeing a movie in movie theaters again.

Jeez. That sounds like...even worse than what I expect from a cheap rundown movie theater. There's just no excuse for that, especially for AMC.
The last time I've been to AMC, which was a couple of years ago, I noticed they no longer use masking. But the trailers and movies play properly. I usually go to a state-based theater (Harkins) and they make sure the presentation is right.
Kinda disappointing to hear because I like the decor and overall design of AMC.

The tickets were $.15 only on the 20th I believe that was the official opening. The classic movies are all five bucks and the new runs a regular price.

I just went back to the movie theaters (Harkins). Presentation was good overall. For one thing, the lights do turn off. I think they are programmed to with the 'smart' technology in the multiplex. Picture was a bit dull, looking kinda like how my phone displays HDR, but I'm sure the 'CINE' screen has a brighter, more vivid picture. I saw Sonic the Hedgehog...

Wow! Just yesterday, me and my nephew watched The Dark Knight and we had to sit like two feet away from someone because we wasn’t sure on who was or wasn’t sick... and the workers didn’t allow refills for the drinks (Hollywood Theater ; Jacksonville,Fl) and the lights dimmed when the movie started and not many people showed up.
Here in the Midwest we have AMC and Marcus theaters. Both are open now. I prefer Marcus because of their spacious stadium seating with push button reclining seats. Their seats are so comfortable I could easily fall asleep when it is fully reclined. I went to see Tenet today. Awesome movie!!

I saw Back To the Future on Thursday the day it re-opened. I was on vacation so I was able to go to the 3:45 PM show. It felt good to be there again. I missed it.

Just went to watch TENET today which was mindbending, only 8 people in my screen. Theatre seat distancing in U.K. screens they leave 2 empty seats each side of you. Also you wear a mask through the foyer and through to your seat, you can then remove it while the film plays.

I live in Vancouver WA and i would STILL go to the movies but only if its almost EMPTY, which is the way i USUALLY GO in normal times, ive been doing that since the mid 1990's. I have gone to regular showings of certain films because some films are better when it's a larger crowd , i can't explain it but certain films are better with bigger groups.
I went too it was great being back and seeing it in the theater.

I had a wonderful time at the AMC Veterans 24 on this past Sunday to see Beauty and the Beast. It was great. I am so happy that the movie theaters are open again and I think they did a wonderful job and I hope they get to stay open and get more business with people like Us giving them kudos. This looks like the Brandon, FL AMC. They have recliners in the very front rows, & plush rockers for the rest of the seats. I’ve been there before & like those seats.

I have a question when u rent a auditorium in a theater are u able to watch any old movies because I wanted to watch one of my favorite movie called The Dark Knignt but I'm not sure if u are able to watch it.
I don’t know about doing that at a AMC Theatre but I do know you can do that at a local theater near where I live in Tampa Bay. the place is called Gigglewaters Or maybe at the Alamo draft house is in Texas
