- Hurricane Milton: My entire three-day experience riding out the storm in our home. Beginning on Tuesday, October 8th -  Thursday, October 10th. Storm preparation, flash flood, scare, and no power. Myself and Bella hunkered down for the storm. This was our experience. Hopefully we get power back on soon.

We are grateful you & Bella made it! Praise CREATOR! My relatives & friends there in Florida are safe also. So many people everywhere were thinking of Florida & pitching in to help. You know as people the human race are always phenomenal when we are at our worst.

Dude...awesome video until you got to the FOOD! YOU'RE KILLING ME.First with that yummy sub (I swear they are the best from Publics) and then the grilled steak. LoL..The reason it's getting me is because, I've been in hospital since 2 a.m. Mon morning prior to Milton... All I have been doing was dream about a big steak and a luscious salad. I'm Sooooo hungry I would love to be able to jump through the screen and help you polish it off. I was so sick I couldnt even keep water down. Like I said killing me softly. I was in St Anthony's (in St Pete) and at one point we were on the generator, had no sewer cause they shut the plant down pre-Milton to keep it from getting damaged, and we had no water either. The hospital had to scramble to find a way to feed us cause w/o power, clean water or sewer they couldn't cook. They did a great job even with limited options and no one went hungry if they were medically able to eat. I finally was able to start on a full liquid diet on Thurs and came home today. Doubt if anyone will forget this experience.
Thankful we survived and minimal water damage on getting home. Keep pumping out great videos. Namaste.

I'm a 60 year old woman with two adult kids of my own and you know how moms worry....l think of you and Cris as family so l was Very happy to see you and Bella safe.....keep us updated. I’m in northern NC and we had minor damage from Helene, but I’ve been through a tornado before. The sound! It was sooo loud! It knocked down a huge oak tree in our yard. For years, I would panic when we had a bad storm because I was afraid it would turn into a tornado. Last year a hurricane took off some of our roof shingles.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Living on the west coast of Oregon we don't see things like this and living this with you brings it into a different perspective. So glad you are safe and things went ok. Hope things get back to normal for everyone soon. Hearts go out to those who were not so blessed. Love your videos Jay. I watch Cris too. Glad to see you are doing well...Get a power inverter from Walmart (they are inexpensive) for using your car to turn the 12 volt system into 120 volts to run nearly anything but definitely a computer and a charger and even an electric cooler. Glad you’re safe Jay and Cris. Escaped to Vero Beach. So many tornadoes and warnings. We Live in Safety Harbor. No power or water there. Three hurricanes this year. Crazy. Stuff. Stay safe.

I was thinking of you and Cris when I saw that Helene and Milton hurricanes. It is so awful to see the damage from Helene in FL and North Carolina, and then Milton causing tornadoes and surges.
Florida had 40 plus confirmed tornadoes before Milton arrived!! I became less concerned about Milton and more concerned about the tornadoes as the day went by. Glad you guys made it through ok, Jay. My prayers go out to everyone suffering from Helene and Milton. 🙏

@@TNTforever87 Yep. 45 tornadoes were reported to the National Weather Center. I've never seen anything like it in my life. I live in Texas too. I watch Max Velocity weather and storm chasers who covered the whole outbreak, including Milton.

JAY, I just have to say you are such a good kind man, taking such good care of Cris, Little Bella, your beautiful home,,,You're on top of everything, have it all planned out...I know it must've been so scary being home all alone w/ Little Bella, no power,,& you always find the Light in anything, no matter how dreary, how scary, how challenging the situation may get,,,now I know thats all your Dad & Mama giving you those genes, giving you the proper tools to get by in life...I can just tell..I thank God you Cris & Bella are all safe, sound, your house is good,,,, alot of folks have no idea what it feels like to be in the middle of a true hurricane & you gave alot of folks a sense of what its like,,,which by the way, if I'm ever in the nearby vicinity of you 2 lovely folks & its MAYDAY for a CAT 5 to hit,,,I know where I want to be,,,as stressful and as much anxiety these events can give you,,,you have Got this down to a science,,,,I lived in FLORIDA as a kid, My Dad was stationed at HOMESTEAD AIR FORCE BASE, 2 things scared the you know what out of me, The THUNDERBIRDS AIR TRAINING on SUNDAYS, & these hurricanes,,,,Anyway, give a huge smooch to that gorgeous BELLA,,She is a LOVE!!!, and sending huge hugs to Cris and You..thankful all of you are safe & Well,,,, ♥

As a New Orleans resident, I get it. Just a few years ago, hurricane Ida blew through here, and I was without power for 8 days when I got back home after evacuating. And just this August when Hurricane Francine blew through here, we didn't have power for about 18 hours where I am, but other areas were without power for days. These storms are no joke. Although I love the area, I'm growing weary of the storms and looking to relocate in a few years.

It's hard to watch New Orleans continue to take a beating. Such a unique and special place, but you can't fight Mother Nature. I just wrote a long post about dealing with weather no matter where you go, but New Orleans would be a hard sell for me. That area sits so low and I'd stress each time a hurricane was out in the gulf. The city has worked so hard to create precautions, but you can't be certain. It's the flood walls that hurt VA during Gaston. They kept the river out, but they kept the rain water in and it created a huge flood. It was awful, so I get it.
@magicalstarz it really is daunting in every sense of the word, that's for sure. There's only so much a person can take. I'm pretty much at my limit with these storms. Like you said, every place has it's weather, but at some point you've gotta decide what you're willing to deal with. I've lived in Gulf Coast off and on most of my adulthood, and I think I'm finally done with it at this point. Just waiting for my kiddo to graduate high school so I can move afterwards.

Hey Tampa Jay this was one of your more scarier videos to watch being Halloween month but i am so glad you got through Hurrican Milton without being hurt or any damage as i live in Australia and as a young boy i went through wild cyclones and storms and now as an adult i'm ok but still get nervous as it takes you back but thank you for the video as i was really worried for you and the people of your great state i enjoy your content and Cris the Girls also so just take care and be safe and looking forward to more videos to come.
One of the fire departments in area near me got washed out literally from Helene in the mountains. I hate it for the people of FL going thru two hurricanes couple weeks apart, but so thankful we in the mountains didn’t any of it. Our dams couldn’t handle it again one stood, but got damaged but because she stood strong she saved communities down the river and another dam because it would have went if the Niloi dam went. Glad you are safe my heart goes out to those lost, families of those killed, and the ones lost everything. We are still struggling up here.

Hi I'm so glad that you and Chris and your beautiful fur baby Bella are ok, I'm from the UK and have been keeping regular updates of what has been happening in Florida, it's just broke my heart for all of you guys and can't even begin to imagine what you have all been going through
I’m so so glad you’re ok. I was so worried about you and sweet Bella. I grew up being taught to keep food on hand as well and do. We buy extras whenever we can of food and household supplies. When I got really suck and couldn’t work for 6 weeks we were really happy to have a stockpile. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been to go through alone. Again I’m so glad you and Bella are ok.

I am in West Palm Beach and we got some wind gusts but for the most part it didn't affect South Florida Central or on the east side just below. Stuart.
