I built my own portable band sawmill in my dad's shop when I was 21 years old. I made it big. Tracks were 48 inches wide and 31 inch diameter bandwheels. I remember that 1 giant log i sawed. It was 10 feet long and all of 48 inches in diameter. We had to trim the sides of the log so that the mill could pass over it. It yielded some over 700 board feet of lumber.

Good on Brittany for doing such amazing work with both running the mill and grabbing the slabs and production boards. You're a lucky man!! As for the garden, that gives me the chillies, since I had to till my mom's garden for years when I was growing up....I'll try to adjust!!!

There's a lot to be said for a hard day's work, and doing it your own way. Very satisfying. Thanks for sharing a piece of your life with a bunch of strangers. I enjoy watching you toil away, wishing I could do the same. Enjoy your youth, your health and success while you can. If you were rich, you'd never be happy. Thanks again. ❤

My grandparents would get us up at daylight to pick vegetables in our garden. They would stop when the dew dried up and then we would prepare them for canning the rest of the day. It was hard work but definitely tasted good. Have fun and stay safe!

Borax, which is sold as a laundry and cleaning product in many grocery stores, can help lend a hand in the yard as an herbicide. Add 10 ounces of powdered borax to 2.5 gallons of water, mix thoroughly, and use a sprayer to coat the leaves of unwanted weeds in your yard.
Be careful though, it will also get rid of grass and other plants.

You can burn the field. That’s what the did in the old days. I’ve done it. When the season was over and it become a bit grown up I tilled on the outside diameter of my garden for safety and spray a bit of diesel on it with a tobacco sprayer and burn it. Thanks for your content. Love watching y’all.

i would find another use for it not kill it off.
Ragweed can help remove lead from contaminated soil and trace nutrients in topsoil. Native Americans used the stems to make rope and thread, and the seeds were an important food source during the winter months because they are high in protein and fat. Ragweed is also eaten by many animals, including cows, sheep, horses, white-tailed deer, and more than four dozen species of birds.

But stay away from your tomatoes for sure
Best to plant corn on the other side of the farm from the veg so you can spray it makes life easier
