Really well done. Thanks for this video. I've been trying to figure out what to use for a Kanban board but also have more detail and features. I think this is it. Cheers.
Thanks Anna! Glad you enjoyed. That I unfortunately don’t know the answer to. I’d try CTRL (CMD) + Z? See if you can perhaps undo several steps that way. Admittedly it’s been a while since I’ve used Milanote so I need to create an updated video! All the best and thanks for the comment :)
Great intro very helpful. What do you use to keep track of your hours and minutes (don't want to calculate minutes breakdown in my head) excel? or phone app?
Thanks! I use a free desktop time tracker called Clockify to track the time I spend on tasks. When I’m done for the day I check the app, which gives me a total. I put the hours in my task tracker and use Google to convert hours to minutes and vice versa when needed.
Do you think we can use Milanote as a pure note-taking app? Other than for creative or planning projects but really like a taking-note app? Milanote is so smooth and nice to use it but I have doubts about long-term second brain use. What do you think about it? Thanks to you.
Great question! I can’t see why not. With the use of boards and documents, in my opinion you could easily create a system for note taking + organising and archiving however works for you. As always I’d always suggest experimenting and seeing what works for you as an individual, it has the potential to work, but still might not be suited to your needs!
Would be nice if you could put a dollar value in a note or other element and have it show as a running total somewhere else. Like putting a price per job and the total show as "monthly total"....thoughts?
Interesting! Hadn't considered this myself, but would certainly be handy. I think for now this is something you'd have to do manually. You can create shortcuts to boards, when the original boards name is changed it changes the name of the shortcut too. Not sure how useful this is to you but, thought it'd be worth mentioning. I just came across a page that shows Milanotes planned features, one of the top voted is a simple spreadsheet/table that I'm sure you could leverage if they do implement it: poll.milanote.com/tabs/2-planned
Solid system, Mate
