I keep trying to go on camping trips with my family and wondering why it always feels so overwhelming. I feel dumb now - treating these trips like a proper project that needs some planning makes so much sense!
I love trip planning- for me, it extends the excitement of the trip, and it helps me feel more settled when I get somewhere new, as I've studied maps and the culture ahead of time. My husband loves to be spontaneous, so we're a good mix of planned/improvised.
OMG! This is brilliant! I can't tell you how many sticky notes, scraps of paper, internet bookmarks and things scattered all over my planner and other places I've used to try to plan a trip to the extent that you do. Which is the same extent as I do😳. This is so so helpful. Can't wait to use this as I plan my trip to New York in September. Thank you so much Rachelle!
Milanote is a wonderful app. Your video does it justice. As I am writing this, I realize you must be on your trip to N.O. I hope you're having a great time.
As a retired PMP, I love this! It ticks all my boxes. I’d heard about Milanote but hadn’t gotten around to checking it out, so thank you for the excellent tutorial.
The planner in me salutes the planner in you...what an amazing tool! I'm also planning my 10yr anniversary and I'll use it! By the way...congratulations and have fun!
I'll definitely have to try this for my next friends' trip! We always have a shared google doc to hold info, but that's obviously limited in terms of arranging info and I know my friends would love this level of planning. And I'm actually planning to go to NOLA in October with a group on a Trova Trip, but that's a preexisting itinerary.
This was a great reminder to plan out my trip to Vienna in August a bit more! Last time, going with the flow worked out well (which I realize is also due to the fact that I know Vienna quite well), but some more planning in advance could be beneficial… Thanks so much for sharing! 💙💙
@@RachelleinTheory just had a play around and found the templates on there, thanks for replying! It’s such a good app, there are so many things I could use it for! Thank you for the super useful video!
Yay I'm so glad! I used the Project Planning template, Brainstorming template, Ideas template, Moodboard template, Weekly schedule template... a few others. I modified them a bunch so they may not look similar!

I found it about two months ago. Instantly became my PKM. Love the idea of non linear data management for Neuro divergent.
yesss I feel like it could be so perfect for that

Rachelle this is awesome! I’ll definitely be doing this for my next trip. Are your templates available anywhere?
No not at this time, but Milanote has a lot of templates available! I frankensteined the Project Planning one for the home page of this one.

Awesome advice and timely, for me- going to use your techniques for planning our trip to Japan next summer! Thank you so much!
I left a comment the other day about stuff to do and I guess someone thought I was a bot or something. :(
