    As an airsofter, I feel that though a drinking tube (plus canteen with the correct top) isn't really super necessary, but if you need to go far with it (let's say you're going to be hurrying along 3 km), then it's going to add a lot of comfort, unless you don't mind breaking the seal. So as far as extra features go, it's the most useful trait you don't need.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 років тому +24

      Again for military use it serves a purpose, not so much for civilians, especially if you don't know how to use the drinking tube without compromising the masks seal, some drinking tubes can cause massive problems in that regard.

      Exactly, I've had people get really shitty at me before saying but I was in the army and had to have a mask on for hours so a drinking tube is a really useful feature you idiot!
      Maybe if you are actually in the army but a normal person does not need to drink in the brief period they have a mask on to evacuate from somewhere.

    For me, an old classical czechoslovakian CM3 is enough. I dont need things like voice diaphragms, microphone holders, drinking tubes (okay, i would like a mask with drinking tube), etc... Just a piece of rubber with bakelite mouthpiece, glass eyepieces. It's cheap, small and comfortable. The filter probably expired, so it probably wont protect me from anything but, i am using it as a decoration.

      The S10 does great for airsoft IF you replace the lenses with poly ones (you can buy them on ebay). As for other comments, the S10 is a strong, cheap and modern mask, I paid £20 for my 2007 one. As for the filter, you're best playing without it all together, but I guess you could take it apart and take out the particle filters and charcoal, something I've been thinking about doing with one of my spare filters for a while.

    Love your vids. I've watched most now. Very informative video as when it comes to safely, people do think all bells and whistles are the best. I'm usually one of them. Thinking of getting an fm12. Is 40 -50 quid too much to spend? Seen loads of police surplus on ebay. My company deals with a company in the UK called tower supplies. They sell Scott industrial silicone full face masks and ABEK filters. Are these perfectly good? Only saying as I can buy at trade price quite cheaply. What would you do. Get a fm12 and buy a new filter? Or crack on and get an ex military one and get filters from Tower supplies. Sorry for all the questions.

    • @random12fps72
      @random12fps72 6 років тому +1

      A fm12 for 40 to 60 pounds is a fairly good price. A s10 usually costs 20 to 60 pounds (depending on the condition). So you should grab onto that bargain.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 років тому +1
