My hair never gets pulled by the rubber on the GP-5 , I think its because I used to get my hair pulled alot lol, took my mask to school once, I laughed at how they struggled to get it on XD

Dr breen's combine elite I can’t be a hypocrite and say that “it’s okay” (as I sit a few feet from a short-barrel AR-15 loaded with a 60 round drum magazine), but at least there are still other cool collections to be had! I can’t say that I wouldn’t buy “deactivated” items, either. I’m wanting to buy inert/deactivated ordinance like inert bombs,grenades and missiles for the man-cave. I get it! Still a cool piece! I don’t know about the politics, but maybe that deactivated SMLE rifle will be worth more in the future as an even more historical piece once your gun laws loosen. It will then have the history that it has now plus the history of being from “way back” when your people weren’t allowed to have firing SMLE rifles (right now).
If the straps are elastic and you don't overtighten them, you don't have to undo the straps. Tested with an MP4, MC1, CM4, ML, GP7 and PMK2. The least comfortable ones are GP7V and PMK2, because they are just very small. With other masks, it all depends on the size. If you have to pull the straps very tight, it's better to undo, but if the straps are only a bit tightened, no need to undo them.

Yeah that's a good idea, I have another moaning video coming up this week, but I will do a more positive one where the masks are actually done correctly, as much as I complain about some aspects of Metro, there are other redeeming features.

I've got videos on modern military masks, unless you mean modern civil industry masks, in that sense I only buy them when they are cheap, I can't exactly afford to buy every mask ever made.

Hi, where can I buy clean hoses for my gp-5? If I just want to cosplay with the mask I would like to act like I'm using a filter but it's only the hose going into my mask satchel.
I think that you are thightening your 5 strap masks a little too tight. Having it a little looser will prevent it from causing headaches after working with it for a couple of hours. Also you should never touch your face while taking a mask of to not contaminate your face.
Hey, have you seen the vid of the guy making homemade scuba gear? Everyone in the comments was saying that the old soviet cold war mask and filter he was using has asbestos in it and stuff. Just wanted to get your take on it. :)

The GP-5 does not take NATO filters, sounds like a seller is trying to pull a fast one. All Soviet masks took GOST filters, modern Polish FP-5 filters are safe and fit both NATO and GOST masks due to a standardised thread.
x 4D1 x it doesn't break itself it breakes down over time its best if you dont drop it. It takes years for gas masks to break down but only takes filters 10 to 20 years to break down

What gas mask is it? On my M40 mask it’s pretty self explanatory
the israel gas mask, the tube connector on the side will usually come with a tube with thing you would squeeze in, and boom

As in Hazmat suits? They're very good for high levels of contamination but bulky and awkward, I don't have any myself.
I have a M.O.P.P. suit and I can they are bulky and kinda like a cushion. But, a full body one is probably cumbersome but useful in CBRN environments.

Hazmat suits use positive pressure and are inflated, NBC suits are like chemical resistant suits.

I've seen a video where a guy plugs an air supply into a GP-5, so that's an asbestos filter, but the thing did still actually work.

Not really, cheek filter masks are incredibly bulky.
I can do the overhead S10 method despite having longer hair. Just have to make sure it's out of way :)

They break down over time, I guess dropping it repeatedly would break it.
But if i dont drop it, for how much would it take to the mask to "break" itself?

Use wet kitchen roll and gently wipe the mask, I'd be very cautious about dunking old masks in a sink.

No ideas as I'm not you. What size is it, lower numbers on Soviet masks indicate size, so if you have a 1, no surprise if it's too small.
