Surfed with Gav and Karl at Cave Rock when they came out here in the 90's. That day was an eye opener. I ended up buying a flashpoint from him that had 3 box fins. That was pre FCS. Loved that little board.
I saw Gavin surf a lot in the 90s in Southside and Sydney Kneeboard club comps as well as the pro ams, was my favourite surfer back then. Really humble guy as well.
I love an interview where you get a chance to really get to know the person. Great stuff
Thanks for the support

Their trip to South Africa was eye opener it for them and us. A revolution in South African boards too
Remember Gav when he was a grom and came to the Phillip Island Pro with The Southside boys along long time ago always very humble ⭐️
I think the interview shows the Gavin that you are describing. Disappointed to hear that he won't make the World Titles in J-Bay due to injury.

I'm hoping to get an interview at this event. Will post soon
Good on you mate alex 😊😊
This was one interview that I loved doing while it was happening. A real quality man. Great Kneelo too.
Gav is funny bugger! Hope he comes to jbay
Maybe not this time. I hear he is in a plastic boot, ankle injury from a severe wipe out. Pity
